Hero of Darkness

Chapter 1282: The Force of the Doom

Chapter 1282: The Force of the Doom

Kahn declared that it was about time to introduce the forces of the Abyss Empire to the world. And the beginning would be the Rakos Empire which he reigned as its Emperor.

In front of him was the miniature version of the crystal that the Argos Belmont, the Revenant Sovereign, had kept hidden inside his kingdom all this time.

But now, it was Kahn who held authority over the crystal after his final meeting with the previous owner. He now had the means to activate it and bring over the forces that lay within.

“We are ready, your majesty. Whether it is the news or the broadcasts across the empire… We all await your orders.” said Sirius.

“Good. You shall leave for the capital. I will make way once I’m done here,” said Kahn as he put the crystal inside the void crack again.

“As you wish.” said Sirius, and soon, he was escorted by Kahn’s Royal Guards.

His personal flying ship, surrounded by a few battleships, departed for the capital in mere minutes while Kahn bade farewell to others.

Albestros was also left to handle his own work since reporting to Kahn was done. And Nikola, as well as Elanev, went to prepare for the extensive transportation work that was awaiting them.

Goods, food, clothing, and management needed keen oversight, especially when it was of such a humongous degree.

Swoosh!

After everyone left, Kahn left the castle on his own and appeared right in the sky above the border of the Flavot City.

Kahn then took in a deep breath and summoned the crystal again.

Shimmer!

Glitter!

But this time, the crystal was at least 1 kilometer tall as its bright light almost blinded even Kahn in the middle of the day.

“Ah, I guess this is a farewell, my predecessor. I will make sure that the fate you feared doesn’t become a reality.” said Kahn.

Now, he had only one important thing left to do.

“Ruvak Un-tuyek Nvem Orakis.” chanted the 9th Hero of Darkness as his immense world energy poured out into the crystal.

This was the exact chant once used by Argos to activate the crystal when he introduced Kahn to the real Abyss Empire.

Shing!

Shimmer!

Hundreds of runes glowed on the mountainous crystal as an ancient formation started activating.

At the end, Kahn loudly shouted the final word that would break the seal.

“Divarkasta!!”

BOOM!!

The moment he cited that last word, the crystal erupted with a massive surge of energy that would even make saints quiver in their legs.

Argos and Lucian previously told Kahn that there was only one person who could be allowed to leave the Abyss Empire when he visited it for the first time.

However, fortunately… that condition applied only when the Realm Crystal itself had to be hidden from the eyes of the Gods, especially from the God of Darkness.

Even to this day, he knew that the Abyss Empire was hidden and sealed. But how was it done, and where was the entrance… even the God of Death had no idea.

It was mainly arranged this way to hide the lingering soul or memories of Morpheus Constantine, the 8th Hero of Darkness.

And now that there was no longer a need to hide, as Kahn learned about everything he needed to know… the plan could follow through.

Crack!

Shatter!

Right in front of Kahn’s eyes… The giant crystal split open into two equal parts, cleaved from within, creating a massive pillar of golden light that went up to 5 kilometers high in the sky, while the two halves of the crystal soon stretched out and went apart 20 kilometers from each other.

Thud!

Thud!

As if an earthquake had come, they etched themselves in the ground, while a translucent golden film made of a mysterious energy connected them, creating this massive pathway to the hidden realm.

“Looks like the setup is done.” said Kahn as he entered the gateway on his own.

******************

10 minutes later…

Woosh!

Dhum!

Dhum!

With loud and warring wardrums, the ginormous battleships of the Cult of the Darkborne soon exited out of this space gateway, materializing in the real world of Vantrea.

Just the leading battlebarge was 3 kilometers in width and 18 kilometers in length as it started coming out of the sky, hovering over the vast settlement made for their accommodations.

On this battlebarge were the 40 chapter masters, Morrigan, Lucian, and the Divine Cadre of the Darkborne.

And who could forget the leader of the Magus Secundus, Calavanius.

They were all instructed on what to do and how to settle their respective forces in this military outpost.

Everyone had their work cut out for them, enough to keep them busy for a while.

Woosh!

Woosh!

Lucian and Morrigan quickly appeared beside Kahn, who oversaw their arrival from the clouds.

The massive legions of soldiers, flying warships and battle barges, thousands of flying ships, as well as winged mounts carrying dozens of soldiers on their backs, appeared in his sight.

This was just the primary strike force that would set up the perimeter for the residential areas.

The rest of the army would keep coming.

By Kahn’s estimation, it would take 3 days just for them to cover 25% of the armed soldiers, while many other supplementary legions that are related to things such as logistics, rations, cooking, and menial labor work would follow subsequently after all the armed forces had arrived.

Morrigan Morningstar, the High Priestess of the Cult of the Darkborne, and Lucian Varangis, the Champion of God of Darkness, hovered in the air beside him, gazing at the clear sky with almost a proud smile.

“I will leave the rest to you. I have to make arrangements in the Rakos Empire.” announced Kahn.

“People will start questioning my decision. All the upper echelons, the noble factions, as well as the government… that I can handle.

But common people would feel threatened by the appearance of a foreign force. Especially when they are already at the border of the empire,” he elaborated.

“Given the fact that they belong to the Abyss Empire; there is bound to be a lot of misconception and stigma around them.

While I can appeal to the masses as their Emperor, not everyone would think of it fondly,” he stated with a concerned tone.

It was Lucian who spoke…

“Fear of the unknown has driven all the sentient beings on the path of destruction.

History has acted as the testament of this undeniable truth. The more you try to reason with folks, the more paranoid they will get.

How about being forefront, Cult Leader?”

Kahn, on the other end, snickered and replied…

“If honesty could cure the preconceived hatred of the heart, there would be no wars.”

He looked at the two suns in the sky as he spoke with a resolved tone…

“I would do what I do best to get the situation under control.” Kahn continued as he prepared to depart.

“And what would that be?” asked Morrigan, the succubus priestess.

With a charming and benign smile, Kahn replied…

“Lying.”
