¹A Golden Rain Phoenix Flower (fèng luán huā 凤栾花) does not actually exist, but I found out that a 栾树 (Luán Shù aka Golden Rain Tree aka Koelreuteria Paniculata) does indeed exist. It blooms yellow flowers in summer and its leaves and seed pods changes colour too throughout the seasons. The colours of the seed pods formed after the flowers bloom are actually really pretty in all its different stages imo. Since the author doesn’t describe its look in detail anyways, I’m just going to assume this is the flower the author named it after.
