Chapter 239: I’ll Go Get It
Chapter 239: I’ll Go Get It
Early the next morning, Yu Qing Qian and her team set out to the depths of Shui Wu Island.
In the first mission, although they entered Shui Wu Island, but the highest cultivation base level of the magical beasts and demonic plants they encountered were only at Spirit General level, and they were able to deal with them.
But as they continued to deepen, danger would truly come.
As Yu Qing Qian walked, she controlled a few plants to explore the path ahead, looking for cooler and hotter places on Shui Wu Island.
If they encountered magical beasts and demonic plants with cultivation bases Spirit Marshal or below, Yu Qing Qian would organise the team to trap and kill them. After all, this wasn’t only an opportunity for training, but crystal cores were also their training resources.
Seven days later, they entered a canyon and continued deeper into the canyon. When they reached the end, a glacier appeared before them.
Huo Li Ruo looked up at the glacier and breathed a sigh of relief, “Finally, we found the place where the Glazed Herb grows.”
Others also breathed a sigh of relief when they saw this, with joy on their faces.
During these seven days, except for the first two days when they took the initiative to deal with the magical beasts and demonic plants, the magical beasts and demonic plants they encountered in the next five days continued to strengthen in power.
Only due to Yu Qing Qian’s command of the entire team into perfect cooperation and her strong combat power, did they not fall into the mouths of the magical beasts and demonic plants.
“Qing Qian, you’re really amazing, you can even find such a secretive place.” Xia Ying said with an excited smile.
Yu Qing Qian and Mu’rong Qing were responsible for exploring the path for the team. This time, it was Yu Qing Qian who guided them to successfully find the iceberg.
Yu Qing Qian smiled faintly and said: “I just discovered that the plants ahead were constantly transitioning, and their attributes were getting colder, so I found this place.”
Along the way, in addition to controlling the plants to explore ahead of them, Yu Qing Qian was constantly observing. When she found that the properties of the vegetation were beginning to transition, she accurately judged the location of the glacier.
“Qing Qian, does the Glazed Herb have any companion magical beasts or demonic plants?” Luo Xiao asked calmly.
Yu Qing Qian thought for a while, then said: “The Glazed Herb grows at the valley floor of the glacier. Although there are no companion magical beasts and demonic plants, but it’s very attractive to magical beasts. The moment the Glazed Herbs mature, the magical beasts can improve their cultivation base after eating it, so it’s very possible that there are guardian magical beasts. We have to be careful.”
“Mm, we can’t let our guard down at all times.” Mu’rong Qing nodded.
“Rest for two hours, then let’s enter the glacier.” Yu Qing Qian said with deep eyes as she looked at the towering glacier in front of them.
“Yes!”
Two hours later, the group set off again and entered the glacier.
Along the way, the surroundings were very quiet, except for the sound of the cold wind blowing against the glaciers from time to time, and not a single insect nor beast were encountered.
This also made the team become more cautious, as this sort of environment was actually the most dangerous.
When the group passed through a cave at the foot of the glacier, a lake appeared in front of them.
This lake was surrounded by glaciers, the trees were covered with a layer of silver, and the clear water and blue sky were beautiful.
Everyone looked around and soon discovered that there was a frozen area in the centre of the lake. There were several crystal-clear blue plants growing on the ice, and they were emitting circles of silver light, looking as if it carried a sacred brilliance.
“That’s the Glazed Herb.” Luo Xiao’s eyes lit up as he looked at the blue plant.
The group were very happy to see the Glazed Herb—their hard work had paid off, and they finally found it.
“I’ll go get it.” Huo Li Ruo said.
He was an ice-attribute Spiritual Plant Master. His contracted spiritual plant liked this glacier environment the most and could also take advantage of it to the fullest.

Random Note: Happy Lunar New Year Eve everyone~ For those curious, these are some food people who celebrate Lunar New Year eats, and their meanings:
Due to how many words sound so alike in Chinese, and the Chinese’s love for auspiciousness and having a more or less superstitious culture (at the very least, historically, but even among the older generations now), there are many auspicious meanings behind things that we do and eat during Lunar New Year, which is a huge thing.
Even as a Chinese, as I am an Australian-born Chinese, the Chinese Lunar New Year culture I’m exposed to is limited to what I do in my family, and may not be as traditional as some others, and my knowledge of the auspicious meanings is also limited due to lower exposure of Chinese words, history, culture etc. So I had to do a bit of research on the website, Baidu, and read through some Chinese websites to get the most accurate information. The following information comes from Baidu research.
Also, I only speak for the Chinese, and other cultures like Japanese, Vietnamese etc. may celebrate Lunar New Year with different food. I am not familiar with that. This is a very general info dump on food eaten by the Chinese during Lunar New Year (which is not just a one-day celebration, btw, but around 15 days, with certain days standing out).
- 鱼 (yú/fish) = Prosperity. 鱼 is a homophone of 余 (yú) which means remaining/surplus. There’s an idiom 年年有余 (nián nián yǒu yú) meaning to always have surplus every year. I’d say it’s a MUST during Lunar New Year.
- 面条 (miàn tiáo/noodles) = longevity. Self-explanatory right?
- 汤圆 (tānɡ yuán/rice dumpling) = family togetherness. Kind of sounds like 团圆 (tuán yuán) which means ‘reunion’, plus the round shape of the rice balls also symbolises togetherness. It’s also known as 元宵 (yuán xiāo) meaning ‘first night’ which is a reference to the first full moon after the Lunar New Year, which is the 15th. (more information of that online). Mum cooked some the other day hahaha.
- 饺子 (jiǎo zi/dumpling) = wealth. ‘Dumpling’ can refer to many dishes in China, this dumpling specifically looks like the gold and silver ingots used in ancient China, so the superstition stuck. Maybe my parents will cook some soon? I remember having them before.
- 年糕 (nián gāo/glutinous rice flower cake/New Year cake) = high/tall. 年 means ‘year’, and 糕 is homophones with 高 (gāo meaning high/tall). In a sense it means that this year, hope to have a higher income/higher position/higher anything positive hahaha.
- 春卷 (chūn juǎn/spring rolls) = arrival of spring, new beginning, prosperity of agriculture. I know it says ‘wealth’ in the picture, but rather than money, it’s more about the wealth of food. The 春 in spring rolls literally does translate directly to spring, meaning the season. And in China, Lunar New Year is celebrated in winter (here in Australia, it’s summer), so in China, after winter is obviously spring. The shape of the spring roll resembles the curled fresh germinated seeds, the fact the spring roll is wrapped can mean togetherness as a family, the food wrapped inside the spring roll can also have their own auspicious meanings too.
These are just some of the foods we eat and there are also more, but if you’re interested you can do some research yourself XD Just a random info dump hehe.
