Chapter 242: Person That Can’t Be Offended
Chapter 242: Person That Can’t Be Offended
As the crown prince of Shui Si Kingdom, Shui Yan Ze had the same status as Huo Li Ruo, but on appearance, his situation in the royal family was much better than that of Huo Li Ruo’s.
However, he knew from Great Emperor Shui Si that it wasn’t that Great Emperor Wen Huo didn’t care about Huo Li Ruo. Huo Li Ruo’s underhandedly suppression by the step-empress was just a test and tempering of Great Emperor Wen Huo’s favourite son.
If something really happened to Huo Li Ruo that was life-threatening, the anger of Great Emperor Wen Ho wouldn’t be something the Qin Clan could bear.
However, Shui Yan Ze and Huo Li Ruo had been at odds with each other since they were young, but as long as their lives weren’t endangered, the two Great Emperors wouldn’t interfere with their conflicts.
The only prince of the younger generation that Shui Yan Ze really feared was Feng Chen, the crown prince of Feng Li Kingdom.
“A Nine-leaf Spirit General magical beast is nothing to you, how about we trade you something for the Glazed Herbs?” Shui Yan Ze said nonchalantly.
Although they were only Spirit Warriors, but they could summon the spiritual plants that they formed a contract with as royal heirs, so below Spirit Emperor, they could skip-level battle. Therefore, unless they encountered magical beasts of Three-leaf Spirit Marshalor above right now, then they weren’t considered in big danger at all.
Huo Li Ruo raised an eyebrow, “I won’t exchange.”
After saying that, he quickly collected the Glazed Herb on the ice and flew up, landing beside Yu Qing Qian and the others.
“Huo Li Ruo, are you forcing us to snatch it then?” Mo Yi Ran, whose armour was burning with flames, said.
Huo Li Ruo furrowed his brows and said in an unscrupulous and ostentatious voice: “Mo Yi Ran, haven’t you all gone too far, if you want to snatch, then come.”
Mo Yi Ran glanced at Mu’rong Qing and Xie Shu, then finally landed his gaze on Yu Qing Qian, sneering, “I never thought that the crown prince of Wen Huo Kingdom and the direct descendent of the Mu’rong Clan of the Seven Great Clans would be willing to obey a small-country jun’zhu’s order. You really are regressing.”
Leng Bai Ling said: “Don’t underestimate the jun’zhu of a small kingdom. She’s a Nine-leaf Spirit Warrior, even two leaf higher than you.”
Leng Bai Ling was very hostile towards Yu Qing Qian. In addition to Leng Ling Shuang’s reason, she also didn’t like people of her generation who were more talented in healing and cultivation than herself, expect, of course, a few geniuses from the Three Great Empires and the Seven Great Clans.
Yu Qing Qian didn’t care about the two’s sarcasm, and said with a faint smile: “Are you two going to fight against me, this jun’zhu of a small kingdom then?”
She had always been a person who liked to speak with strength, and she wasn’t ashamed of being the jun’zhu of Da Yan Kingdom’s Jin wang’fu.
Mo Yi Ran scrutinised Yu Qing Qian a bit, his eyes filled with interest, “Both appearance and bearing aren’t bad, bound to have the bearing of a beauty who could cause the downfall of a kingdom. Talent and strength are also not bad, but the temper’s a bit wild.”
Then he changed his tone and said with a smile: “But I like this kind of beauty with this temperament. If you want to fight, sure, let’s make a bet.”
Shui Yan Ze beside him had a smile on his face, but his heart suddenly dropped when he heard Mo Yi Ran’s words.
He knew Mo Yi Ran’s habit of collecting all kinds of beauties, especially beauties with strong talents and abilities, which aroused Mo Yi Ran’s interest, so he really did win a lot of beauties through bets.
But Yu Qing Qian was different. Behind her, besides the once most mysterious prodigy, her father Yu Jing, there also stood Feng Chen.
After Yu Qing Qian’s extraordinary performance in the first test and Leng Bai Ling’s instigation, Shui Yan Ze went to check her information in detail.
From this, he also learnt that the relationship between Feng Chen and Yu Qing Qian wasn’t average, and could even be considered intimate, which was extremely rare.
“Yi Ran, don’t have any ideas for Yu Qing Qian first. She may be the woman Feng Chen likes.” Shui Yan Ze was afraid that Mo Yi Ran would act recklessly and anger Feng Chen, then they really wouldn’t have it good.
Although they were all from the Three Great Empires, but Feng Li Kingdom was the strongest, and Great Emperor Feng Li was even more mysterious and powerful.
What was more, Feng Chen, himself, was also the most devilishly talented number one genius among the younger generation with a cold temperament, and there would be absolutely no good consequences if he was angered.
Shui Yan Ze’s father, Great Emperor Shui Si, once warned him that among the younger generation, he needn’t fear anyone he provoked, but he should never offend that devilishly talented Feng Chen.
1Lol, 2 things to note. First, it took me a while (longer than I should lol, my brain clearly wasn’t functioning, but just in case there are others like me) to understand this sentence and to translate it accurately, but basically, it means to say that skip-level battle is easy below Spirit Emperor. Above that, perhaps because Spirit Emperor is what they call a ‘watershed’, skip-level battle is a bit tricker. I at first understood it as something like ‘we can, right now, beat Spirit Emperors if we summon our royal heir spiritual plant’. No, they cannot hahaha, Spirit Emperor is an entire 4 levels above Spirit Warrior where they are now lol. They cannot skip-level battle 4 levels no matter how strong they are HAHA. But they can skip-level battle to fight up to Three-leaf Spirit Marshals. Second, and not that important, I realised the author sometimes messes up the cultivation levels in that the levels of the previous novel (MEIWITA) before this one was used. In this chapter instead of writing ‘灵皇’ (Spirit Emperor), it was ‘剑皇’ (Sword Emperor – although I translated it to Sword Monarch for the previous novel) hahahaha. I don’t think it’s the first time. But the higher cultivation levels are pretty much the same except for 灵 being used here and 剑being used in MEIWITA 😆 Nothing significant.
Note: BTW, both Huo Li Ruo and Shui Yan Ze’s name has a character from their kingdom’s name in their name [(i.e. Huǒ (火 aka fire) in ‘火’离若 (Huo Li Ruo) = Huǒ in 纹‘火’国 (Wen Huo Kingdom). ‘Shuǐ’ (水aka water) in ‘水’彦泽 (Shui Yan Ze) = ‘Shuǐ’ in ‘水’泗国 (Shui Si Kingdom)]. But Feng Chen’s surname is different to his Kingdom’s. Although they’re both ‘Feng’, his is ‘封’宸 (‘Fēng’ Chen) but his Kingdom’s is ‘风’漓国 (‘Fēng’ Li Kingdom). The former means something like ‘seal’, like something is sealed in a box, and the latter means ‘wind’. They are, however, the exact same pronunciation. Guess we’re just missing earth, but there’s only Three Great Kingdoms HAHAHA. Nothing to these names, just an fyi.
