His Highness the Crown Prince Always Wants to Marry Me

Chapter 300: No Need to Be Afraid if You Want to Cause Trouble

Chapter 300: No Need to Be Afraid if You Want to Cause Trouble

Yu Qing Qian and Feng Chen chatted while walking.

“Senior Brother Jiang and Senior Sister Feng are a couple right.” Yu Qing Qian said.

Feng Chen knew that Yu Qing Qian had always been very observant and he wasn’t surprised why she knew this, “Mm, they’re engaged.”

“The Che Clan is one of the Seven Great Clans, and the Jiang Clan is just a first-class clan. The Che Clan has no objection to their marriage?” Yu Qing Qian asked curiously.

Feng Chen knew a lot about the affairs between the major forces going on in Central Continent, “The Jiang Clan has developed rapidly in recent years. If it weren’t for the fact that its foundation wasn’t as good as that of the Seven Great Clans, maybe they’d have caught up with them, but they’re just more low-profile.

“The Che Clan wants to win over the Jiang Clan, so marrying off Che Fei Fei, the daughter like a pearl in the palm of the Patriarch, to a lower clan is the greatest sincerity.” He paused, then said: “Of course, this is based on Che Fei Fei’s willingness, so they both have feelings for each other, that’s why the engagement was set.”

“So that’s how it is. Senior Brother Jiang is resourceful, but he isn’t annoying. Senior Sister Che and Xie Feng Zhi don’t seem to be as peaceful as they appear to be on the surface either.” Yu Qing Qian rubbed her chin and said.

Feng Chen nodded: “Senior Brother Jiang is a pretty good person. As for Senior Sister Che, you can also get along with her. She and Xie Feng Zhi have a lot of conflicts in private. If it weren’t for this mission together, they’d probably have torn up pretences long ago.”

“Mm.” Yu Qing Qian nodded.

Then she asked: “Xie Feng Zhi is a direct descendant of the Xie Clan? Is she related to Xie Shu in any way?”

Among the Seven Great Clans, the Xie Clan was a reclusive clan. It had always had a sense of mystery. Things in the clan were rarely leaked to the outside world too, and there was little news about the Xie Clan outside.

Yu Qing Qian, Ji Ling Shuang, and Xia Ying all knew that Xie Shu was a direct descendant of the Xie Clan, but no one asked more about it.

“Xie Shu is the daughter of the Patriarch of the Xie Clan, and Xie Feng Zhi is the daughter of Xie Shu’s eldest uncle. They’re cousins, but their relationship isn’t very good.” Feng Chen continued: “Back then, their fathers had a fight over the position of the head of the clan. Now they’re only in superficial harmony.”

“If that’s the case, then I don’t have to give Xie Feng Zhi any face.” Yu Qing Qian shrugged.

If Xie Feng Zhi and Xie Shu had a good relationship then she naturally wouldn’t care about the other’s previous attitude because of her friend, but since the relationship between the two wasn’t good, then if Xie Feng Zhi messed with her again, she’d fight back fiercely.

“You don’t have to give her face in the first place. If anything happens, I’ll be behind you to take care of it.” Feng Chen said with a nonchalant smile.

Xie Feng Zhi’s petty thoughts and that inexplicable possessiveness towards him already made him very disgusted. He had already noted down the words of ridicule Xie Feng Zhi said to Yu Qing Qian earlier, and never thought of letting it go just like that.

Feng Chen didn’t like to say much, so he naturally wouldn’t argue and fight Xie Feng Zhi, nor was he the type to do such a thing, but in secret, he must make Xie Feng Zhi pay some price for what she had said earlier.

His Qian Qian wasn’t someone that could be bullied and ridiculed by anyone.

Yu Qing Qian grinned and rolled her eyes at him: “You make it sound as if I can easily cause trouble.”

“You don’t have to be afraid if you want to cause trouble too.” Feng Chen looked clam and domineering.

Unless Yu Qing Qian directly killed the crown princes of the other two Great Empires, or the Young Lords of the Seven Great Clans for no reason, then it might be more difficult for him to clean up the mess, but other troubles really weren’t anything he cared for.

“Sure!” Yu Qing Qian’s heart felt warm and asked after thinking for a bit: “I think that Zi Yan’s identity isn’t simple. She has a strong sinister force, and she feels more like an assassin.”

Feng Chen didn’t notice anything special about Zi Yan, “I didn’t pay attention, but your feelings should generally be correct.”

“Mm, I’m a little interested in her.” Yu Qing Qian said.

“If that’s the case, then I’ll have someone check her identity and pay more attention to her in general.” Feng Chen would unconditionally satisfy her.

“There’s no need to investigate her identity, just pay more attention to her.” Yu Qing Qian was more interested in Zi Yan, herself.

Feng Chen knew that Yu Qing Qian liked fun and shopping, “Sure. Then I’ll take you to the largest commercial street in Central City and see if there’s anything you need to buy.”

Yu Qing Qian’s eyes lit up instantly when she heard what he said, “Sure, then let’s go to the commercial street.”

Random Note (and rant HAHA): Just finished watching Marry My Husband kdrama. Tbh, was a bit disappointed they changed some parts from the webtoon and introduced an unnecessary character and even drama, as well as a typical break up scene >.> Like, original works were liked and popular for a reason, please adapt just as it is, why go to the extra effort of thinking of something new to add lol. Although I highly enjoyed the FL bashing her ex in the first episode after being given another chance, that didn’t happen in the webtoon, but it was an acceptable change HAHAHA. They kept the satisfying parts satisfying enough.

Also, wow, I can really tell all those tiktok videos parodying kdramas weren’t an exaggeration. I haven’t watched a kdrama for a while, but damn the obvious product placement, the exaggerated scenes… Lol. Also, I’m somewhat not a fan of the exaggerated emotions and facial expression,. I don’t know if it’s the actors or the directors or kdramas in general (since I haven’t watched many for a while), but dang, I swear, sometimes I feel that if the amount of silence and the different angles used to emphasise a situation and an expression was cut, an episode would be only half an hour long HAHAHAHA. Don’t get me wrong though, I love it when they put emphasis on the right things (like romance aspects hahaha) that make my heart flutter. Give me more!! o(*////▽////*)q

Overall, I enjoyed it though, at least it did follow the majority of the webtoon, and moments weren’t as frustrating as others. But the reason for the breakup got me rolling my eyes (I mean, I GET the FL’s reasons, but honestly unnecessary overall, but it was only one episodes), and like, in another episode, who doesn’t hold onto their phone when they go to check on something in the dark, or feel like someone’s there? Lol, but that’s not solely an issue for this drama, so many dramas do that hahahaha. Now I heard the cdrama called ‘The Legend of Shen Li’ is good with a fun male lead and not too much angst? (I hate angst lol, luckily the ‘breakup’ angst in this drama was still ok… otherwise I would’ve dropped it and just stuck with the webtoon.) Maybe I’ll check that cdrama out…

Omg right, THE ENDING THOUGH, THE ENDING!!! Loved the ending, I’m glad they kept going with the ending from Marry My Husband extras in the webtoon. Thank you directors and writers for that! q(≧▽≦q)
