Chapter 39: We’ll Follow You From Now On
Chapter 39: We’ll Follow You From Now On
Yu Qing Qian’s actions and words gave Gong Hao and Qi Rui, who had been feeling rather good about themselves, a blow in the head.
“A lesson was learnt today.” Gong Hao stood up and patted the dust off his body, looking at Yu Qing Qian with a hint of gratitude in his eyes.
Qi Rui also got up from the ground, the loss and despondence just now all swept away.
Today they encountered a Yu Qing Qian who was merciful, but if they encountered an enemy, the price they’d pay would be death instead of this embarrassment.
Yu Qing Qian looked at the transformation of the two of them and the corners of her lips curled up slightly with satisfaction. They were still teachable.
“Now I give you two choices.” She raised two fingers and said: “First, stop harassing me from now on and we will just remain passersby; second, be my lackeys from now on and I will slowly teach you what one means by real battles and fighting.”
She had a principle in doing things, that was, she didn’t like to force others. Even if she wanted to take them as her lackeys because of their identities and potential, she would never force them if they weren’t willing.
Gong Hao and Qi Rui didn’t make a choice immediately. They pondered and considered. After all, the only person who dared to get them be lackeys was Yu Qing Qian.
After a while, when Yu Qing Qian wanted to turn around, Gong Hao was the first to speak: “Alright! I hope you won’t make me regret my choice today.”
From the brief battle just now, he could tell that Yu Qing Qian didn’t give it her all. Her movements were agile and changeable, her strikes were swift, accurate, and vicious. Even if she didn’t reveal any killing intent, she was still extremely sharp.
She didn’t look like a freshman who just came into contact with combat. Instead, she looked like an adventurous hunter who had been wandering through a sea of blood on the tip of a knife all year round.
There was always a veil of mystery surrounding her, and he felt that he’d regret it if he chose to be strangers today.
Qi Rui was also very interested in Yu Qing Qian who revealed her strength, especially the so-called real ‘battle’ and ‘fighting’ she spoke of.
“I also choose the second option.” He walked beside Gong Hao and said.
Yu Qing Qian chuckled, exuding a confident and domineering brilliance, “I never force others. If you think I’m not qualified to be your Boss, then you can cut off contact with me at any time.”
Then she looked at the two of them with piercing eyes and emphasised in a voice like a soul-seeker from hell: “But I cannot tolerate betrayal. If you dare to stab me in the back, then I’ll definitely break your neck with my own hands.”
“…” Gong Hao and Qi Rui couldn’t help but feel chills running down their backs after hearing her words.
They could feel that Yu Qing Qian was very serious. If one day they dared to betray, she really would kill them.
“Since we recognised you as Boss, then we naturally won’t betray you.” Gong Hao said bravely despite the pressure exuding from Yu Qing Qian’s entire body: “But in the future, you have to convince us.”
If what Yu Qing Qian did today was just to bluff them, then they wouldn’t sincerely recognise this Boss.
“Of course. If I can’t even do that, then I won’t have the shame to be your Boss.” Yu Qing Qian nodded in approval.
Qi Rui thought about it, then said with all smiles: “Boss, then we’ll follow you from now on.”
“Mm, tomorrow morning at three1, wait for me here to train together.” Yu Qing Qian felt that the physical fitness of the two was good, but their reactions and functions weren’t proportional to it at all, so they needed to strengthen their training.
Qi Rui and Gong Hao looked at each other with curiosity in their eyes, “Alright!”
“By the way, you can call me casually in front of others, but call me Boss in secret.” Yu Qing Qian didn’t want to be in the limelight yet. She preferred to keep a low profile when her own strength was weak.
“Yes, Boss.”
Although Gong Hao and Qi Rui were princes, but they always kept their promises.
Since they acknowledged Yu Qing Qian as Boss, then they’d accept, adapt, and integrate as soon as possible.
1in ancient China, time was told in twelve hours, each of the hours is approximately equivalent to a 2-hour period. I’m pretty sure these times refer to the traditional times and not the times that changed during the Song Dynasty.
Note: Beginning tomorrow, most likely only 1 chapter a day with irregular double chapters. I know each chapter is only half of MEIWITA’s length, but gosh I struggled with uploading 1 chapter of MEIWITA a day on time towards the end hahaha. School starts again so another ten more weeks until the long holidays where I’m very confident in being able to upload multiple chapters a day, potentially even more than 5 a day depending on how much translated chapters I’ve saved up till then. Soon! One more chapter today.
