Chapter 43: Just Looking at You Makes Me Sick

Yu Qing Qian and Huo Li Ruo discussed some body tempering cultivation techniques, and both benefited a lot. 

The movements that Yu Qing Qian used were all learnt from an ancient martial arts book that she accidentally found during the apocalypse, and then added some fighting skills herself, while Huo Li Ruo learnt the body tempering martial skills of a Body Tempering Master of the royal family, each with their own merits. 

“I’m returning first.” Yu Qing Qian looked at the sky, then jumped down from the tree. 

Huo Li Ruo played with a green leaf in his hand, lowered his head and asked: “Want to go eat dinner together?”

“Forget it.” Yu Qing Qian shrugged and said: “I don’t want to become the public enemy of the freshmen in the Academy.”

Feng Chen was the number one person in the Royal Academy, and Huo Li Ruo was the number one among the freshmen. Their backgrounds, looks, and talents were so eye-catching that there were too many women watching them, as if they wanted to eat them immediately. 

If in modern times, these two people would be at the level of ‘national husbands’. As she was prepared to keep a low profile, she didn’t want to get involved in any public gossip with these two people. 

Huo Li Ruo smiled in spite of himself: “I have a feeling that you won’t be able to keep a low profile for long.”

“I like to go with the flow.”

After Yu Qing Qian finished speaking, she turned around and left the quiet garden. 

As soon as she exited the garden, she met Qin Feng Yi hurriedly walking over from the opposite side and the latter was stunned upon seeing her. 

The two didn’t greet each other and Yu Qing Qian ignored the hostility hidden in Qin Feng Yi’s eyes and left. 

Qin Feng Yi watched Yu Qing Qian’s back thoughtfully and a hint of resentment gradually appeared in her eyes. 

She heard from her roommates that they saw Huo Li Rio entering the garden and hurried over. She didn’t expect to meet Yu Qing Qian here. 

If Huo Li Ruo was really in the garden, then wouldn’t the two of them have met or been alone together? 

The more she thought about it, the angrier she became and the possessive feeling in her heart made her want to devour and rip Yu Qing Qian alive.

As soon as Huo Li Ruo came out of the garden, he saw Qin Feng Yi looking into the distance with a gloomy expression and his brows furrowed subconsciously. 

Qin Feng Yi suppressed the crazed thoughts in her heart and had just turned sideways when she saw the red silhouette she longed for appearing. 

She was startled and the grim look on her face was instantly replaced by gentleness and charm.

“Li Ruo ge’ge¹.” She quickly walked up to Huo Li Ruo and called him innocently and cutely. 

Huo Li Ruo watched Qin Feng Yi’s expression change and was extremely disgusted with her delicate appearance. He suddenly felt that Yu Qing Qian was still most pleasing to the eye. 

“Mm.” He nodded coldly and started to leave. 

Qin Feng Yi’s fingers hidden in her sleeves were tightly embedded into her palms. She blocked his way and pretended to ask casually: “Li Ruo ge’ge also knows Yu Qing Qian from out department?”

Yu Qing Qian and Huo Li Ruo came out of the garden one after another, which made her think deeply. 

Huo Li Ruo looked at her puzzled, “Who’s Yu Qing Qian?” 

Since that woman wanted to keep a low profile for the time being, then he wouldn’t cause trouble for her. 

He knew that Qin Feng Yi had a sinister side just like her aunt—so hypocritical and vicious. 

“So Li Ruo ge’ge doesn’t know her!” Qin Feng Yi looked at him in surprise, but couldn’t help sighing in relief, “I just saw her coming out of the garden, so I thought you two knew each other.”

“I’m leaving first.” Huo Li Ruo wasn’t bothered pretending with Qin Feng Yi. 

This woman was the niece of the step-empress, but she wanted to capture him and his heart to become crown princess. She truly overestimated her abilities and was also similarly a bitch. 

Qin Feng Yi finally found the opportunity to be alone with Huo Li Ruo, so how could she let this chance go. She suggested with a smile: “Li Ruo ge’ge, let’s have dinner together.”

“I feel sick just looking at you, how could I eat?” Huo Li Ruo raised an eyebrow and said bluntly, eyes filled with undisguised displeasure. 

He had been paying some attention to Yu Qing Qian recently and he also heard that Qin Feng Yi took the lead in ostracising her. He felt even more disgusted with Qin Feng Yi. 

¹ge’ge means big brother in general but is often used in a cute way. Males can call an older guy ‘ge’ge’ too, but often very young boys would use the word because I think it’s become a cute way of talking. Older boys/men might just use one ‘ge’ or ‘xiong’ which also just means brother. I’m trialling leaving it as ‘ge’ge’.
