Chapter 90: Her Reversed Scale
Chapter 90: Her Reversed Scale
Feng Chen led six others, jumping into the river without any hesitation. The freshmen on the bank were all boiling with excitement.
“Senior Feng actually led six other seniors into the river. Just what’s at the bottom of the river?”
“Don’t know, but it must be something good to attract Senior Feng.”
“I wonder how Yu Qing Qian is doing? Was she bitten to death by magical beasts or demonic plants.”
“No way, the combat power she showed just now is unmatched by anyone here.”
“No wonder she said what she said before. So she really had that kind of confidence.”
“And have you noticed that when she was treating us just now, she treated more than thirty people without stopping. Such an ability is difficult for even a Healing-class Spiritual Plant Master among the old students to achieve.”
“Right, I had a strange feeling just now. Hearing you say this, I finally knew where it came from. It turns out that Yu Qing Qian’s treatment isn’t as useless as it was previously rumoured, it’s more like she’s a genius.”
“I’m afraid that the words said targeting Yu Qing Qian was deliberately released because of jealousy.”
“I guess so too. She’s a Spiritual Plant Master with excellent talent, no matter how bad she is, how bad could it be.”
“This fact tells us that hearing is in vain and seeing is believing. The dead people are the best lessons.” The man’s voice was a little pained.
Others also nodded in agreement, “I should’ve listened to Yu Qing Qian’s words just now instead of listening to other people’s instigation.”
“Aye, people are unpredictable. Some people aren’t only arrogant and domineering, but also caused the deaths of so many people. I wonder if they’d be scared when they dream about it at night.”
“They’ve probably done these things a lot, so why would they be afraid?”
“Before, a certain someone was at the bottom of the river but was constantly protected downwards. If they hadn’t been entangled in the vines that suddenly emerged, they might’ve used us to cover them and obtain the rare treasure.”
“Truly a dark heart, even tricking everyone in the same class and group.”
“…”
The targets discussed by many people went from Feng Chen to Yu Qing Qian, and finally to Qin Feng Yi.
Many of the people who had just entered the water were resentful towards her right now, especially those who had lost good friends.
After calming down now, they finally felt that what Qin Feng Yi did before had ulterior motives.
The seeds of doubt had been planted, and many people had mentally added Qin Feng Yi to their list of those they refuse to interact with in the future.
Qin Feng Yi heard the people around her who didn’t avoid her when conversing, and her originally pale face became a little more ferocious.
She also didn’t expect that Yu Qing Qian would have such skills and fighting power, and even her healing ability was stronger than all the freshmen.
The light that was supposed to shine from her was all snatched away by Yu Qing Qian, and her heart that was twisting in pain was wrapped with a layer of haze.
After she recovered from her injuries and returned to the Academy, she must secretly get rid of Yu Qing Qian, this little bitch, who robbed her of her limelight and her man.
There was some scheming in her eyes. When the time came, she would ask her dad to attack that small kingdom of Da Yan. She’d see how arrogant Yu Qing Qian could be.
Yu Qing Qian, who had already entered deep into the river, didn’t know that Qin Feng Yi wanted to secretly harm her. If she knew, she’d definitely break the other party’s neck.
Her beauty dad was her reversed scale1. If anyone dared to touch him even a bit, she would definitely make that person’s life worse than death.
Just like that woman who betrayed her beauty dad since she was a baby. She was the person she hated most since she was young, and she was also the first person she decided to take real revenge on.
Wherever Yu Qing Qian passed, there was a mass of killings. The magical beasts and demonic plants at the level of Spirit Novice or Spirit Attendant were killed by her one after another, and the crystal cores were all dug out.
1‘reversed scale’ 逆鳞 (nì lín), or ‘a scale that grew incorrectly/backwards on a dragon’. From my understanding, figuratively, it’s a scale on a dragon one cannot touch or else face the consequences. It’s also used to describe a person’s weak point, but not necessarily used with a negative connotation, and instead, in a more ‘you touch, you die’ sense. Like someone touched your nerves.
