They enter the hospital and go to the ward of Zeng Guihua.
On seeing Xia Yan, Zeng Guihua’s dull eyes show vividness all of a sudden. She supports her body tiredly, and stretches her hands to grasp Xia Yan: “Yan, are you OK? Where did you go in the last year? Why didn’t you come back? Don’t you know mom is worrying about you?”
Xia Yan retracts her hands impatiently: “I had to earn money for your illness. Just because of you…Do you know what I have suffered…”
After saying, she covers her mouth and chokes with sobs, pretending to be very sad.
On hearing this, Zeng Guihua is extremely distressed. She keeps on blaming herself: “It is my fault. Mom encumbers you.”
Xia Nuan frowns and she presses Zeng Guihua’s shoulder, keeping on comforting: “Mom, stop saying this. You should take care of your body…” She knows Xia Yan is lying. However, she could not tell her mom directly that Xia Yan was controlled because of gambling.
Zeng Guihua pushes Xia Nuan away and looks her up and down. On seeing her full and round figure, which contrasts distinctively with Xia Yan’s skinny figure, she snorts coldly: “How could I feel ease to recuperate with the hard-earned money of your sister? Your sister has suffered a lot for me. Can’t you share the burden for her? You disappear throughout the year, and turn a deaf ear to me. How could you have the nerve to ask me to take care of myself. You can, but I can’t.”
Xia Nuan is stunned for a while.
In her pregnancy, she could not leave arbitrarily. So, she asks a nurse to take care of her ill mom until delivery. Then, she can leave.

Zeng Guihua believes that Xia Nuan keeps silence because of a guilty conscience. She has more preference to Xia Yan. She drags Xia Yan’s hands and keeps on caring her. Xia Yan retracts her hand impatiently again, and then leaves with the excuse of going to the hospital, leaving Xia Nuan feeding Zeng Guihua silently.
“Miss, are you the relative of Zeng Guihua?”
When Xia Yan goes out of the ward, one doctor holding the volume comes over.
Xia Yan hesitates and then nods her head.
The doctor smiles: “We have an application sheet, which should be filled by the relative of the patient.”
“Application sheet? I don’t understand. You’d better find the person in the ward. Zeng Guihua has more than one relatives.” Xia Yan is afraid of the procedures of payment, so she finds an excuse to refuse. However, the words of the doctors move her.
“Do you know Mr. Ye, the well-known pop star? He will hold a concert in the city. Before the concert, he is preparing a charity activity to collect RMB 8 million to provide top-grade medical devices in hospitals in the city, and collect RMB 10 million to subsidize the family of each patient…?
“OK. I will fill it.” Before the doctor finishes his words, Xia Yan says yes happily. Her heart is radiant with delight.
In the medical room, the families of all patients are queuing up to fill in the application sheet. They are filling the sheets and chatting about Ye Sichen happily.
