“Even Queen Alicia looked a bit defeated back then, didn’t she……..”
After returning to the Scorpio palace, Lizbeth muttered so.
Even though the queen had pampered and spoiled him so much, that dumb child really went and betrayed her own mother like that……..the phrase ‘no child knows how dear he is to his parents’ has never been more applicable.
“In any case, we need to be ready for whatever actions Robin might take next. I doubt that even he’ll do anything too stupid inside the Imperial Palace itself while it’s still under Queen Alicia’s control though……”
“That’s true. Albeit, if he actually tries to brute force the matter, that would actually make things a lot easier for us though.”
Saying that, Lizbeth showed a brave and imposing expression.
No, I know that you are a lot stronger than most people but, let’s not instantly resort to violence shall we?
“But still………even though last night should have been our greatest ever after finally confessing my love to you and receiving it back as well, and yet……”
Thinking about yesterday, today, and the tomorrows to come, my shoulders slumped.
Normally, can people show at least a little bit more consideration for me during times like these? It was like this during Lizbeth’s birthday party as well but, every single time, someone tends to show up to be an hindrance between us…….
“It is indeed as you say Prince Rudolf. This will absolutely not be forgiven anytime soon.”
Aaaah……..it had the reverse effect.
Lizbeth’s expression only became more and more severe.
If Robin actually appeared here right now, she really might tear him apart limb by limb……….hold up.

Ah seriously, how does he manage to always show up right on time? This utter idiot.

“You must have heard it from mother already correct? I have decided to join up with Brother Oscar instead!”
“Haah……..yes, I did hear it. Queen Alicia was quite lamenting the fact as well.”
“Exactly! Now even Mother knows what happens when you join hands with a pig like you. Now, not even a fool would consider doing the same anymore!”
It’s no use. This man is just completely clueless.
He has no idea just how many times she had bailed him out already.
“………..Enough with your nonsense already.”

“I said I’m sick and tired of your nonsense already!! Do you have any idea how many times she has helped you until now? How many times she had cleaned up the messes you have created!? Because of you, do you even have any idea just how much trouble Queen Alicia had to deal with………no, how much she was hurt because of you? Do you have any damn idea about any of it!!?”
Unable to tolerate Robin’s nonsense any longer, I angrily raised my voice and shouted at him.
I mean, can you blame me? He had everything I had wanted his entire life and yet, he threw it all away just for his petty little selfish desires.
“Listen to me! Queen Alicia raised you till this very day…….with love and care, and yet, you betrayed that very same mother of yours! Did you not!? Same for your fiancée Lady Sheila, her father Lord Andersen, and everyone else that supported you, you betrayed all of them!!”
“u,uu………”
Perhaps not expecting the guy he usually looked down on, to act like this with him, Robin seemed bewildered and faltered back.
“Th-that’s all because you deceived my Lizbeth! This is all your fault! None of this would have happened if you had let go of Lizbeth already!”
Of all the things, this guy actually tried to shift the blame to me, and even dragged Lizbeth into it.
Seeing this complete and utter fool, who was beyond all saving, I could feel my own heart grow icy cold with every second.
“……….Robin, I will say this to you. If you even dare touch my Lizbeth, you’re going to have a bad time. So prepare yourself for it.”
“!! That’s my line! Release Lizbeth right now, or you’ll regret it!”
Robin shouted that at the very end, and then quickly left the area with quick steps.
But.
“…………Brother Oscar.”
At the end of the corridor, stood Oscar who lightly patted on Robin’s shoulder as if consoling him.
Robin seemed to be complaining about something to him frantically as well but, as if he was already very trusting of him, he also showed a couple of smiles in the midst of it all as well.
It was then.

Oscar shot a glance towards us, and gave a smile.
“Ohh………not only did he manage to skilfully bring Robin to his side, he’s even sending winks our way as well?”
“So it would seem. But………to me, Prince Oscar’s smile is the one that feels eerie instead.”
“Oh I agree with that. Also, his expression towards Robin might seem like that of a kind older brother trying to console him but, I can’t even feel even a shred of compassion in his eyes.”
Among us four brothers, he was the only one with dark black eyes. Perhaps that was the sole reason behind it.
However, to me it always seemed like there was deep darkness hiding within those eyes.
“……….Let’s leave this place.”
“Yes.”
Me and Lizbeth turned around, and returned back to our rooms.
