I, a Simple Villager, was Reincarnated as an Infamous Tyrant Prince from 300 Years Ago!

Chapter 69

Chapter 69

Oscar’s Invitation

“Oh? Is that……..”

After finishing our dinner with Sheila, we left the private room only to run into an unpleasant creature.

Speak of the devil………well, not really, but it was Robin.

However.

“Ahaha, Robin sure is glaring at us with a lot of hate.”

“It’s true.”

“Well, isn’t that just pleasant.”

Me, Liz, and Maya looked at Robin, who was being held down by some servants as we chuckled.

Under the promise made by Queen Alicia, right now Robin was under complete surveillance.

When needed, this kind of use of force had also been allowed against him.

“Still, that fool Robin really doesn’t mind putting a pathetic show like that in front of all these noble kids while being the Third Prince of the Empire huh. Does he really feel no shame……..?”

“Both his shame and reputation are already in the dirt anyway. I imagine it’s too late to worry about all that now.”

Liz spoke curtly, seemingly unconcerned.

Well, it truly as Liz says.

But.

“I’d love to give this treatment to that guy as well.”

“………Yes.”

Both of us stared. Towards the source of different gaze.

Of course, it was Wilhelm.

Or rather, he was currently in the middle of chatting with some other kids as well so he shouldn’t be focussing on us now, should he………?

“Rudolf.”

“!?”

Hearing my name suddenly called from behind, I turned around in a panic, only to find Oscar now.

“Wh-what is it? Don’t surprise me like that……..”

“Haha, sorry, my bad. By the way, what were you looking at?”

“Ah………well, just the other kids, happily chatting away, making new friends, etc. Nothing  important.”

I pointed to the group where Wilhelm was, and gave a vague answer.

Well, it wasn’t a lie, and I doubt he would realize that I was specifically staring at Wilhelm.

“by the way……….is that alright?”

After pointing to Wilhelm’s lot, I turned my finger towards Robin.

“Sure, why not. Like I said this morning, Robin will soon break anyway.”

“that, what do you exactly mean by break, by the way?”

He switched the topic when I asked him this morning but, we had the time right now, so I don’t think he’ll run away this time.

“Why, exactly as the word implies. Rudolf, you realize it too, right? Robin, among us brothers, is by far the most inferior of us all.”

“……………………………..”

“Not to mention, Rudolf you now have the backing of Marquis Fahlcrantz and have joined hands with brother Fredrik. He had been just barely managing to maintain his pathetic pride by bullying you Rudolf but, now he’s lost even that and his grudges are starting to pile up.”

It’s true, Oscar was right. Currently Robin under Queen Alicia’s direct surveillance and couldn’t take it out on me either.

Then, his servants would be the next target but he was in the academy now, and he was only allowed one servants with him. And that servant was also the person keeping an eye on him, thus completely sealing all doors for Robin.

His fellow students also already know of Robin’s ill repute, and even now while he’s embarrassing himself again in front of everybody, the rest were not even looking towards him, let alone try and interact with him.

Meaning……….his situation had now completely switched places with my own from the past.

“And so, Robin has no choice but to hold all his emotions inside him. And once that surpasses the limits of his heart, what do you think will happen?”

“……….he’s going to explode, at the slightest impetus.”

“Precisely. And that is exactly when Robin will well and truly break.”

Saying that, Oscar began to chuckle.

But, considering this was all in regards to his little brother that he had taken into his own camp, did he also need to be so cruel with him?

“Brother Oscar, do you hate Robin…….?”

I decided to fire a very direct question at him.

Until now, Robin who had been on Fredrik’s side had also been prejudiced against Oscar as well.

Then, what did Oscar think of Robin on the other hand?

Of course, considering his words and actions, I imagine Oscar too hated Robin as well.

But……..for some reason I had a feeling that it was not something that could be explained with such a simple emotion.

“Hahaha, isn’t it obvious. I hate Robin……..no, I hate all those who have those amber eyes.”

“!?!”

Making a complete about face from his cheerful demeanour, he showed a severe expression unlike anything I had ever seen him make before.

As if, he was ready to completely murder someone.

Was the fact that his eyes alone were different in colour, really that big of a matter to Oscar?

“Then, as someone with those very amber eyes as well, I too am your enemy I guess.”

“Well, that’s not true.”

Hearing my words, Oscar quickly refuted that.

“True, you indeed have those amber eyes as well but, you are the same as me.”

“That’s……….”

“Am I wrong? Because of these eyes of mine, people have always doubted me. Whether I truly have the Emperor’s blood in me or not.”

Of course, I also knew that such rumours were floating within the Imperial palace as well.

But, barring the colour of his eyes, it was also fact that Oscar was the one that resembled the Emperor the most as well.

That’s why, while such rumours were around, Oscar was still fully accepted as a legitimate prince.

“On the other hand Rudolf, while you possess the amber eyes, the symbol of our royalty, but other than that you bare almost no similarities to the Emperor. Then, we are simply the inverse of each other, but at our core, we are the same, don’t you think?”

“…………What are you trying to say?”

Unable to understand where Oscar was leading the conversation, I asked directly with a tinge of irritation in my voice.

And then.

“Rudolf……….why don’t you leave Brother Fredrik’s side, and join me instead?”

His words were more than enough to completely shock me.
