I, a Simple Villager, was Reincarnated as an Infamous Tyrant Prince from 300 Years Ago!

Chapter 82

Chapter 82

I should have hurt him harder.

“…….how do I say this, but that certainly left a bad aftertaste huh.”

Earl Andersen sighed as she muttered that.

After the meeting with Queen Alicia was over, we all returned to the Scorpio palace and took a breather.

As you’d expect I suppose , especially after how things went………

“Forgive me to ask this now but, from Lady Andersen’s perspective, this should be enough as reparations………am I correct in thinking that?’

“Oh dear of course it was. He selfishly annulled his engagement with Sheila and then slovenly tried to flirt with poor dear Lizbeth. And he paid for his sins with not just losing his right to succession but also being indefinitely confined to that place. Forget embarrassing him, Prince Robin outright lost his dignity as a human being itself.”

Trapped in that land that is covered in ice and snow all year round, Robin will have to spend his remaining days there. Forever.

He was a coward and a man of lowly calibre, who didn’t know the meaning of being patient. I wonder if he’ll even last a month in that hell.

“However, Lord Rudy, don’t you think that Queen Alicia might release him from his confinement very quickly as well………”

“I don’t think she will. She passed that judgement onto him under the name of the first queen of the Empire after all.”

If it was simply a punishment delivered unto him as his mother it’d be one thing, but she went out of her way to use her position as the queen, that too in front of all of us.

If she now went back and easily forgave Robin, that in and of itself would completely negate all the work Queen Alicia had done with the Imperial household over the last however many decades.

“……….It is, quite sad huh.”

“Yes…….that’s why, let’s not do something like this again.”

However, that’s only in regards to people that me and Liz care about.

If someone who tried to harm Liz like Robin appeared again, then I will deliver the same fate as Robin onto them………no, perhaps even worse than this.

Especially when it comes to Wilhelm, I don’t intend to show any kind of mercy.

Not only did he lie and ruin my and Liz’s precious memory, he still remains infatuated with her and keeps sticking around her.

In a stark contrast to the main character of the [War Records of Wilhelm] that I read in my previous life, I’m starting to think that that epic tale was perhaps entirely falsified.

In that case, I………was I even actually a real tyrant? I was not so sure.

Then, how should I act in the future instead? It was something to think about………..huh?

“Li-Liz!?!?”

“Lord Rudy, is something the matter……….?”

Her crystal clear aquamarine eyes were staring directly at me as she took a peek at my face.

That’s right, the Andersens are still here as well right now, I can leave thinking about all this for later.

“Ahaha, sorry. I was still just thinking about the stuff with Robin, so……..”

“it’s fine if it was just that I suppose………”

As I smiled wryly, Liz seemed to look a little unconvinced but she seemed to settle back regardless.

“My oh my, it’s already this late.”

Seeing the setting sun seep through the window, Earl Andersen gently clapped as she spoke.

True, it was the right time to call it a day.

“Then, we will take our leave now.”

“Yes, your work today is much appreciated.”

Me and Liz escorted Earl Andersen and Sheila to the palace entrance.

By the way, Earl Andersen did have some other business at the capital as well so she was currently taking residence in the town house in the capital, and will return to her territory at a later date.

“fuu………..today was quite the busy day huh. Liz, you feeling tired as well?”

“Yes. Although, in the end, I wasn’t able to be of much use to you…….”

Saying that, Liz cast her eyes downwards.

“If you’re going to say that, I’m the same no? In the end, Robin imploded all by himself.”

To try and console Liz at least a little, I tried to lighten the mood as much as I could.

With things ending up as they did, I didn’t want Liz to brood too much over it.

“That aside, while I do feel bad for Queen Alicia, I am glad that that Robin will not be entering your vision ever again for the rest of our lives. Finally, we have managed to remove one of the sources of our pain.”

Now, Liz won’t have to suffer from the constant harassment from Robin anymore.

I was genuinely and honestly happy for that fact.

“……….Lord Rudy, you really are always thinking about just me. Even now, you’re trying to cheer me up by intentionally talking in such jests.”

“A, ahahaha………..”

Seeing Liz stare at me with upturned eyes, I could only smile wryly.

Or rather, damn, she completely saw through me huh.

“Now, the only insect still buzzing around you is just Wilhelm but……..”

“Well, thanks to you breaking his leg, I don’t think we’ll have to see his face for at least another half month at least.”

“In that case, all the more reason to fully relax and enjoy our school life after we return okay?”

“Yes!”

I took Liz’s hand, and smiled.

But.

“ughhhh……….”

“This eyesore…………”

The very next day, in our classroom.

Surrounded by a bunch of concerned looking girls was the figure of Wilhelm, having a friendly chat with them all.
