I AM A MAGE BUT WITH MILF SYSTEM

Chapter 749: A seductive invitation

Chapter 749: A seductive invitation

"Can’t an aunt simply want to spend time with her nephew?" she asked, her voice carrying just the right note of innocence. "Especially one who has returned after so long and shown such... remarkable growth."

Her fingers trailed lightly down his arm as the words hung in the air between them.

"Besides," she continued, her voice dropping just a touch lower, "with the King’s visit delayed, the castle feels different. Tense. Everyone is watching everyone else and waiting for something to shift. I thought perhaps we could talk. Just the two of us. Away from prying eyes and political noise."

She looked up at him again. Her eyes met his directly and the invitation was there, clear and unmistakable to anyone with the eyes to read it.

She was offering him her attention, her company, and perhaps far more than that, all wrapped carefully in the guise of familial concern.

Julian smiled at that.

It was a slow, deliberate curve of his lips that did not quite reach his eyes. He held her gaze for a moment, long enough that she would know it was intentional, and then without any haste at all, he let his eyes drift downward.

First to her elegant throat, tracing the smooth line where her pulse fluttered just beneath the surface of her pale skin. He took a moment there, as though reading something in that quiet flutter.

Then lower. Much lower.

His gaze moved with open, unapologetic appreciation over the deep neckline of her maroon corset, settling on the full, pushed-up swell of her breasts. The way the fabric strained to contain them, the soft valley of her cleavage catching the amber light of the mana lamps, the faint rise and fall of her breath beneath it all. He took his time, making sure she felt the full weight of every second that passed.

Louisa’s brows rose slightly.

She seemed genuinely shocked by the boldness of it.

For a fraction of a second, her composed mask cracked. A faint flush crept up her neck and her breath caught in her throat.

She had expected calculation from him. Perhaps coldness.

However, she did not expect him to look at her like that. Hungrily. As though she were something he was quietly, seriously considering claiming for himself.

She recovered quickly and her expression smoothed back into its usual elegant composure, though a slight tension remained in her shoulders that had not been there before.

She was not used to being looked at so directly by someone she considered a tool in her game.

Julian’s smile deepened as he finally lifted his gaze back to hers.

"Well," he said, his voice low and unhurried, "how can I turn down the invitation from my beautiful aunt?"

The way he said it, stretching the word beautiful just long enough, made it impossible for her to mistake his meaning.

Louisa’s smile curved upward in response, and there was a new quality in her eyes now. Something reassessing.

She understood perfectly what he had just communicated and the fact that he had done it so openly, told her more about him than any guarded answer could have.

He was not the piece she had assumed he was.

And she was beginning to think this particular game would be far more interesting than she had originally planned.

**

Louisa’s smile deepened as she looked up at him.

"Since you have accepted my invitation," she said softly, her voice like velvet, "I have the perfect place for us to have a nice talk. Somewhere quiet. Away from all the noise and eyes of the castle."

Julian smiled in amusement.

"Lead the way, Aunty."

She held his gaze for just a moment longer than was necessary before she finally turned and began walking. Julian fell into step beside her naturally, his hands clasped loosely behind his back.

They walked side by side through the quieter corridors of the northern region. This part of the castle was older, less frequented by servants and guards. The halls here were wider, lined with ancient tapestries that told stories no one alive could fully remember and heavy wooden doors set deep into stone walls.

The further they walked, the more the sounds of the castle faded behind them.

The distant echo of boots on stone, the murmur of voices, the occasional clank of armored movement, all of it peeled away layer by layer until there was nothing but the soft sound of their footsteps and the whisper of Louisa’s skirt trailing behind her.

She led him deeper into the secluded section, turning down a narrow corridor that most people in the castle probably did not even know existed.

Julian studied the passage as they moved through it.

He was genuinely impressed.

She had clearly spent considerable time studying every corner of this massive castle. She knew exactly which places were perfect for quiet conversations. Or for more than that.

They finally stopped before a heavy, ornate door at the end of the passage. The wood was dark and old, carved with a subtle pattern along its frame that suggested it had once been the entrance to something significant.

Louisa paused, her hand resting lightly on the handle, and turned her head just enough to look at him over her shoulder.

"Are you ready, Kraven?" she whispered.

There was something in the way she said it.

Julian nodded once.

"Yes, Aunty."

Louisa pushed the door open and stepped inside first, the room beyond swallowing her figure as she moved into it. She called back over her shoulder with a soft, inviting tone,

"Come in, dear."

Julian followed her into the room.

The space inside was unexpectedly grand.

He had never known about this chamber and judging by the complete absence of any memory from Kraven, the original owner of this body had not known about it either.

It was a private, luxurious suite hidden away in the northern wing like a secret.

A massive four poster bed dominated the center of the room, draped in deep crimson and gold silks that looked soft enough to sink into and forget the world entirely. Heavy velvet curtains framed a large panoramic window that offered a breathtaking view of the castle’s private gardens below.
