I AM A MAGE BUT WITH MILF SYSTEM

Chapter 758: Take my mana

Chapter 758: Take my mana

Julian’s smile never faded. He watched her with open appreciation, clearly enjoying the way she tried to reclaim control even after bending over the table for him just minutes ago.

"Fair enough," he said, nodding once. "I accept your terms."

Louisa studied him for a long moment, searching for any sign of deception. When she found none, she let out a slow breath and nodded.

"Good," she said softly. "Then we have a deal."

With that, she walked towards the door and before she left, she paused at the doorway and looked back at him over her shoulder.

"One last thing, nephew," she said, her voice carrying a warning edge. "If you break your promise... ... I will make sure you regret it. Family or not."

Julian simply smiled.

"I wouldn’t dream of it."

Louisa gave him one final lingering look before she slipped out of the room, closing the door softly behind her.

Julian remained seated for a long time after she left, staring at the closed door with a dark, satisfied expression.

The game had just become far more interesting.

And he was going to enjoy every single move.

knock knock

Around late afternoon, a soft knock came on the door of Kraven’s room.

Julian had already returned from his meeting with Louisa and had spent the rest of the day in quiet recovery. The duel with Aldric had taken a heavier toll than he had let on, and the encounter with the guardian sword in the library had only added to the strain.

Currently, he was sitting cross-legged in the center of the large bed, his eyes closed, slowly absorbing ambient mana from the surroundings. The faint golden-red glow of his mana technique shimmered subtly around his body as he worked to repair the fractured vessels and replenish what he had lost.

Knock. Knock.

Another set of knocks came, insistent this time.

Julian thought it was Sera. She had become persistent lately and often returned even when he dismissed her.

He expected her to leave if he didn’t respond immediately. But the knocks continued.

Maybe it’s someone else, he thought, opening his eyes.

"Come in," he called.

The door opened slowly.

The familiar figure of Olivia stepped inside.

She was wearing a modest red gown today — elegant and high-necked, with long sleeves that reached her wrists. The fabric flowed gracefully over her mature curves, clinging gently to her full chest and wide hips without being overtly revealing. Her hair was pinned up in a neat bow, a few loose strands framing her face.

She looked every bit the composed, graceful Duchess of the Astran family.

Yet the moment her eyes fell on Julian, concern flooded her expression.

She closed the door behind her with a soft click and walked toward the bed. Her gaze traced over his still-pale face, the faint shadows under his eyes, and the way he sat slightly hunched despite his cross-legged posture.

"My dear," she said softly, her voice filled with worry as she approached. "How are you?"

She stopped beside the bed, her hand reaching out almost instinctively to brush a strand of hair from his forehead. Her touch was gentle, maternal, and lingered just a second longer than necessary.

Julian brought an exhausted tone to his voice, making it sound weak and strained.

"I am doing well, Mother cough cough," he replied, coughing lightly for effect. "I am absorbing the mana around me... I have healed around 40%."

Olivia’s eyes creased with deep worry. She sat down on the edge of the bed, close enough that her thigh touched lightly against his knee.

"40%? That’s too little," she said. "After everything you went through yesterday... you should be resting more. Not sitting here forcing mana into damaged vessels."

She reached out again, this time placing her palm gently on his chest, right over the bandages. Her touch was warm, and Julian could feel the faint pulse of her Peak Sovereign mana brushing against his own.

"You look so pale," she murmured, her thumb stroking lightly over the fabric. "I can still see the strain in your eyes. Let me help you again. Like yesterday. You can take more of my mana if you need it."

Julian looked up at her, maintaining the weary expression while carefully suppressing the surge of Kraven’s patterns that stirred at her closeness and offer.

"Mother... you don’t have to," he said weakly. "I can manage. The medicine Father gave me is helping."

Olivia shook her head.

"No. I won’t watch you suffer when I can do something about it."

She shifted closer on the bed, her hand still resting on his chest. Her fingers traced lightly over the bandages, as if checking for hidden injuries.

"Tell me the truth," she said softly. "How bad is it really? Don’t lie to me, Kraven. I can see it in your face. You’re pushing yourself too hard again.

Julian let out a slow, tired breath, playing the exhausted son perfectly.

"The vessels are still fragile," he admitted. "The duel took more out of me than I expected. But I’ll recover. I just need time."

Olivia’s brow furrowed deeper. She moved even closer on the bed, her knee now fully pressed against his leg.

The warmth of her body radiated through the thin fabric, and Julian could feel the subtle tension in her posture — the way she was trying to remain composed while clearly worried.

"You heard the news about the delay in King’s visit, right?" she asked, her voice soft but urgent.

Julian nodded weakly.

"Because of this, everyone’s eyes are on us right now. We cannot afford any weakness. You, as an Arch Mage, are now one of the pillars of our family. We cannot afford to lose you, Kraven." She sighed, the sound heavy with the weight of their precarious situation. "And you’re aware of our internal situation as well. Who knows what might happen with Liam and his faction while the King’s arrival is delayed? So let’s not delay any further. Take my mana."

As soon as those words ended, Julian coughed again.

"Cough... cough... Okay, Mother... if you say so."
