Chapter 73 Serves You Right
73 Serves You Right
Lian’e heard the voice and looked over in disbelief.
The person was wearing a casual suit. Her long hair was tied into a ponytail behind her, and her makeup had been wiped clean, revealing her beautiful and enchanting face.
“Shen Yin?” The rich matron looked incredulously at the woman on the ground. “Then who is that? Why is she wearing Shen Yin’s dress?”
Zhong Xin also looked at Shen Yin in confusion. Only Lian Jing’s lips curled slightly in an imperceptible arc, his eyes smiling as he watched his little woman put on an act.
Shen Yin walked to Lian Jing’s side and pointed at the wet and dirty dress on the ground in confusion. “Eh? So it’s here! The waiter stained my dress just now, so I went to the changing room to change my outfit. How did it get here? What are all of you doing here?”
The man cowering in the corner glanced over. He was in a daze and could not figure out what was going on. He subconsciously looked at the woman who was speaking.
Lian Jing imperceptibly took a step forward, blocking his line of sight. Then, he forced Shen Yin to turn her head so that she would not see the unsightly scene behind her.
“I bought you that dress. How dare you accidentally dirty it?” Lian Jing lifted her chin and rubbed his thumb against her smooth skin. However, there was no anger in his expression.
Shen Yin understood and deliberately said loudly, “I don’t know who that waiter was, but this banquet was personally organized by your Aunt and Uncle. I’m sure they know the people who were hired. Why don’t we get them to call the waiters over and I’ll personally identify the one?”
“Alright.” Lian Jing retracted his hand. When he turned to Lian’e, the smile in his eyes had already disappeared. “Aunt, I’ll have to trouble you then.”
Lian’e rubbed her hands awkwardly. “It’s my fault for not choosing good wait staff. I’ll definitely compensate Miss Shen with a new dress another day. Let’s get someone to take these two away. We can’t have them hanging around naked.”
If the woman on the ground was not Shen Yin, then it was clear who she was.
She gave Fu Xiao a look, and the latter immediately summoned th bodyguards to carry the two of them away.
“No! I can’t leave! Lian’e, I can’t leave. I was framed. I have to explain matters to President Lian!” Yun Shan kept struggling as if she had gone crazy, completely embarrassing herself.
“Eh? I thought she looked familiar. Isn’t that the actress Yun Shan? The one with terrible acting skills!”
When Yun Shan was dragged past the matron’s side, the hair that shielded her face slipped aside and the matron saw her face clearly.
After saying this, she subconsciously looked at Lian Jing. She vaguely remembered hearing that Yun Shan had been promoted by Lian Jing?
When the onlookers heard that she was actually Yun Shan, they exploded and looked at her with disdain.
There had long been rumors that President Lian was supporting an actress, but they did not expect her to be such a person! This was really humiliating for the Lian Family!
Lian’e frowned and quickly got someone to gag Yun Shan with a piece of cloth. She was afraid that if Yun Shan continued speaking, she would reveal something unfavorable to Lian’e.
Yun Shan might have lost this round, but she must not be implicated by this stupid woman. If Yun Shan exposed her, Lian Jing would vent his anger on her. That would be terrible.
Lian’e only heaved a sigh of relief when Yun Shan was dragged away. She smiled apologetically and went over to Lian Jing. “Little Jing, it’s all my fault. I pitied Yun Shan and in a moment of weakness, I let her attend your banquet. I didn’t expect her to behave so indecently and disrupt your birthday banquet. I’ll apologize to you personally another day, okay?”
Lian Jing did not reply. He glanced at the rich matron who had been holding her phone and speaking eloquently just now. She lowered her head guiltily before finally looking away. His eyes were filled with mockery. “Madam Lin, didn’t you say that you had first-hand evidence? I hope to see it in the headlines tomorrow.”
“Yes, I will, President Lian.” The rich matron lowered her head, wishing she could find a hole to hide in.
No matter how stupid she was, she realized that Lian’e had used her. She glared at Lian’e, then gritted her teeth and instructed her subordinates to contact the media.
Only then did Lian Jing look at Shen Yin in satisfaction. “Grandpa is looking for you. Come back with me.”
Shen Yin nodded and left with Lian Jing without protest. Lian’e was left alone, panting heavily as if she had just survived a calamity.
