I Can Turn into a Fish

Chapter 240 - Development

Chapter 240: Development

The weather today was somewhat drizzly, and the sky would darken just after 6. Chu Xian told Xiao Ying that he’d be late, and then left for the fish far.

The rain grew heavier and heavier, and Chu Xian jumped into the lake, transformed, and swam into the distance.

Fengtai Lake was connected to the sea, and he had not had the net enclosing sealed yet. This way, he could directly swim into the sea.

Three other fish farms had openings near the Fengtai Lake entrance, and one of them belonged to Qin Dahai.

This fish farm was different from the Fengtai lake one. Where the lake farm was surrounded on three sides by land, Qin Dahai’s fish farm was surrounded on all sides by sea and more sea, and relied completely on nets to cordon off the area.

This are was far smaller than that of Fengtai Lake, and was not even half the size of his former fish farm.

Since Chu XIan had cut off his revenue, Qin Dahai had went all out and gotten nine alligators gars, but he had no idea that his actions were actually helping Chu Xian.

Qin Dahai’s fish farm was in shallow water, and the blue was incredibly clear. From a distance away, anyone watching could see a giant monster swimming slowly towards the fish farm.

After the cultivation of the yellow croakers and the white flower fish, Chu Xian’s energy had fallen by six hundred points. His body had shrunk down to about 4.5 meters in length, but even so, he was still a huge monster in the sea.

He swam over to Qin Dahai’s fish farm and sidled along up to the enclosure net.

“Look at my claws.” Chu Xian sneered, and with the claws on his head, slowly cut through the wires of the net.

“You want alligator gars to devour the fish inside my farm? Then I need to return the favor and devour all the fish in your farm.”

Chu Xian immediately opened his god’s eye view and controlled all the fish around him.

“All baby fish?” As he entered the fish farm, Chu Xian was surprised by what he detected. All the fish inside Qin Dahai’s fish farm were tiny, nail sized. There was not a single big fish.

“Looks like these baby fish were just introduced.” Chu Xian thought to himself. “What a coincidence, my yellow croakers and white flower fish just happen to need some little fish. Dahai’s really a good fellow, sending coal in the winter.”

Chu Xian swam a loop around Qin Dahai’s fish farm and controlled all the fish and bringing them back to Fengtai Lake.

Qin Dahai had a large amount of baby fish, and the tens of thousands of baby fish crowded in his fish farm, but when Chu Xian brought them over to Fengtai Lake, it did not seem like all that much.

Chu Xian swam over to the platform and transformed back. He opened the gate to the yellow croaker area and commanded the baby fish in.

“They grow so quickly. With this speed, they will weigh over a catty in half a month.” Chu Xian watched as one of the yellow croakers grew a centimeter longer, and a smile grew on his face.

After sealing all the fish from Qin Dahai’s fish farm inside, Chu Xian jumped back into the water, transformed, and swam back out to sea.

Out at sea, the fish population around Hai Qing City could not at all compare with that of South Ji Island. Chu Xian was not too concerned though, and sped forward and continued swimming. Very quickly, thousands of fish were gathered in every direction.

There were little yellow croakers, Pacific Mackerels, Spanish Mackerels, Spotted Maigres, Chinese Herring, Clupea Pallasi, Pomfrets, Codfish, and all kinds of other fish. Now where there different species, they all came in different sizes, but in the short span of an hour he had gathered thousands of fish that weighed at leas three to four thousand catties. If he sold these, he would profit by thirty to forty thousand rmb.

Chu Xian brought this group of fish back to Fengtai Lake and sealed them in. For the next three hours, Chu Xian continued this cycle three more times.

After his extraordinary method of fishing, Chu Xian had sealed in over ten thousand catties worth of fish. Chu Xian checked the time and returned to shore.

“Black the entrance to the lake with nets.” Chu Xian called out to Old Huang.

“Yes boss.”

Over then thousand catties of an assortment of sea creatures was worth at least a hundred thousand rmb. This was all accomplished in five hours of hurried work. This was the true way to run a fish farm.

It was midnight when Chu Xian returned home, and after a quick shower, he fell asleep holding Xiao Ying.

The next day, Chu Xian brought Grandpa Feng and the others to the fish farm.

“Last night, we got some fish from sea. As for how we did this, I won’t tell you. There are about ten thousand catties in here. You guys just need to look of the fish farm and net the grown fish. Grandpa Feng will find the fish dealers and sell them. You can leave the little fish inside and let them grow.” Chu Xian explained.

Grandpa Feng and Theo there fishermen were astonished, and their faces were full of confusion as they looked out at the waters teeming with fish.

Chu Xian looked at their faces and laughed. He had hired this fishermen not to feed the fish everyday, but to keep the farm clean. His fish farm had a high requirement for the environment, and needed to prevent algae from forming and maintain all kinds of things to keep the fish healthy. Other than handling problems like these, the fisherman could help him with the aquariums from time to time. Paying these people would solve both matters.

At the same time, back at Qin Dahai’s fish farm, the fishermen looked out at the empty fish farm and remembered a terrible time when something similar had happened.

“Where are the baby fish? Why is it empty?”

“What on earth happened? Are we being haunted again?”

The workers still remembered when the fish in their farm had steadily disappeared day by day, and in the end they had never found the culprit.

But the matter today was even more extreme. There was not a single fish left, and the farm was completely empty. No matter how much feed they dumped into the water, not a single fish surfaced.

“This… We need to call the boss.” A fisherman hurriedly took out his phone and called Qin Dahai.

At Fengtai Lake, Grandpa Feng and the other fishermen were busy at work. Chu Xian sat on a little boat in the lake scattering feed. With his ability, he was controlling the yellow croakers and white flower fish.

To Chu Xian’s extreme pleasure, every single one of the fish was showing signs of clear and steady growth.

Over the next few days, Chu Xian’s schedule was empty. He went to the fish farm everyday to watch the little fish grow, and in the afternoons he brought Xiao Ying out shopping and eating and went to watch movies. Their relaxing life was worthy of envy.

Although he was relaxing, his businesses were furiously expanding. The aquarium store at Jing Hai City had been running smoothly all this time, and the sales had reached the terrifying number of 27 million rmb.

Zhang Xiaohua was prepared for the first round of franchisement advertising, but Chu Xian had told her to wait until his movie was in the theatre.

At the end of the movie, Chu Xian had asked Duan Ke to put in some information about the franchising of Paradise aquariums.

Now that the film was done, Duan Ke was ready to ship it to the theaters, and everything had gone smoothly.

Over in Thailand, Paradise Sea Snakes was already in operation, and according to Old Mu, they had caught over a thousand sea snakes in less than a month.

After processing, the profit from the sea snakes would be over fifty million rmb. This kind of earning was for less than a full month’s work, and according to Old Mu’s projections, a single month should haul in 300 million rmb. They could work and catch sea snakes six months out of the year, and so their yearly profit would be 1.8 billion rmb, over twice as much as Chu Xian had previously estimated.

The reason they could catch two times as many sea snakes was their special method of catching the snakes. With this method leading the way, the mermen could spend half the time to catch two times as many snakes.

Chu Xian had reminded Li Long that Paradise Sea Snake could being researching and studying sea snakes themselves, and did not have to remain a supplier.

“In thirteen days, these yellow croakers and white flower fish have already grown over a catty in weight. How terrifying!”

“That’s right. Look at these yellow croakers and white flower fish. They are identical with the ones caught out at sea? How does our boss do it?”

“Weird, really weird. These days, the fish on the other side of the farm weighs at least thirty thousand catties, but we’ve already sold over forty thousand catties of fish, only leaving baby fish behind.”

“That’s right, and we have all kinds of fish as well. This is too strange. Boss says he gets them from sea, and overnight a couple thousand catties of fish just appear out of no where. How terrifying.”

“Did you see the abalone drying in the villa? My god, such gigantic abalone. I looked it up on the internet, and each one of them should be worth millions.”

“Do you think our boss has some kind of power? How else do all these strange things happen?”

Early morning at the fish farm, a group of workers whispered as they gathered around the platform. After a dozen or so days of work, they had found more and more matters to be astonished about. Everyday, all kinds of sea fish would appear in the fish farm waters, and the growth of the yellow croakers and white flower fish seemed to violate every law of nature. The workers were growing more and more confused.

“Alright everyone, stop making up nonsense. Work hard and keep your mouth shut. The boss is taking care of us, so we just need to keep his secrets.” Grandpa Feng saw the discussion and spoke up.

Actually, Grandpa Feng had the perspective to understand how truly strange all of this was, but he did not ask and did not speak about it to anyone.

“Boss, our fish farm’s situation has led to a lot of talk among the workers. I’m afraid that the strangeness around our fish farm will be spread out to the public.”

As he was on his way to the fish farm, Old Huang brought the matter to Chu Xian’s attention. Next to him was Sword Two, Sword Three, and the other old mermen, with the new addition of nine fit young men, Alligator One through Nine.

“En.” Chu Xian nodded. This matter was something he had expected, and as long as he hired outside workers, they would notice something, but he was not worried.

When he had let Fa Daiyue, Old Shi and the others know about the Dunkleosteuses, he had already prepared for the special situation of his fish farm.

In case anyone thought the situation of his fish farm was strange, he could always blame it all on the dunkleosteus.
