Chapter 811: BOOM! [Golden Ticket Chapter Bonus!]
Pho did not use the ramps either. He vaulted directly over the stone balustrade of the landing, dropping fifty feet through the steaming air like a fallen meteor.
As his heavy boots slammed into the concrete floor of the main aisle, the impact shattered the bedrock beneath him, and his Deathfrost Domain erupted outward in a violent, shockwave-driven blizzard.
BOOM!
Absolute-zero cold surged across the cavern floor like a localized glacial flood.
The flash-freeze crawled up the massive brass pipes, instantly solidifying the boiling Bloodrush inside them before the internal pressure could detonate the factory.
The red demons charging toward the landing found their legs frozen mid-stride, their chitinous armor cracking as the sudden temperature drop turned their blood to ice.
“Let’s see if your carapaces can handle real cold!” Pho roared.
The first Disaster-class general.
A towering, four-armed brute wielding twin executioner axes charged through the freezing fog, its body radiating superheated crimson mana to melt Pho’s ice.
It swung both axes downward in a lethal cross-strike aimed at taking Pho’s head.
Pho didn’t dodge. He stepped directly into the attack’s arc, bringing his massive ice axe up in a brutal, upward diagonal parry.
CLANG!
The collision of ice and demonic iron produced a shockwave that blew away the surrounding steam.
Pho felt the brute’s Disaster-class weight press down on him, but his boots remained planted in the frozen stone.
Gritting his teeth, Pho channeled a violent surge of deathfrost through the shaft of his axe, sending jagged ice spikes erupting directly out of the ground beneath the general’s feet.
The spikes impaled the brute’s lower legs, freezing its joints solid.
Pho pivoted on his heel, using the momentum to drive a crushing, short-range elbow strike directly into the general’s jaw, shattering its obsidian faceplate and sending the giant staggering backward into his freezing blizzard.
—————
While Pho anchored the main aisle, the second prong delivered its strike with terrifying speed.
The five hundred white-armored dark elves did not bottleneck themselves on the stairs.
On their commander’s signal, they surged off the stone landing in a single, synchronized leap. Using gravity-damping spells integrated into their white articulated armor, they glided downward, landing in a tight, three-tiered phalanx along the factory’s right flank.
CRASH!
Their heavy, white tower shields slammed together with a sound like a closing vault door, creating an unbreakable wall of white steel that cut off the red demons from their holding pens and backup arsenals.
“Hold the line!” the Dark Elf Commander barked, his voice echoing through his helm. “Form First Spear!”
The dark elves’ pitch-black eyes flared as the glowing white runes etched into their armor flared to life.
Crimson and white mana surged through their weapons, transforming their heavy iron pikes into glowing beams of concentrated light.
A wave of over two hundred Blood-Forged red demons charged the shield wall, desperate to flank Pho.
“STRIKE!”
The phalanx thrust forward in rhythmic, terrifying unison.
Five hundred spears punched through the gaps in the tower shields, impaling the charging demons with surgical precision.
The light mana infused in their spears reacted violently with the demonic corruption, causing the red demons’ chest cavities to detonate from the inside out in bursts of cleansing white energy.
The dark elves did not give an inch. They advanced step by step, their boots crunching over the dead, their shield wall acting as a mobile iron press that systematically crushed the red demon flank against the cavern walls.
————–
High above the freezing blizzard and the clashing shield walls, Ren moved along the iron catwalks in complete, terrifying silence.
He didn’t run. He shifted across the iron girders using short-range spatial displacements, appearing above key tactical targets without producing a single sound or disturbance in the air.
Directly below the central catwalk hung the second Disaster-class general.
A winged, serpentine demon that was preparing to rain high-tier hellfire down onto the dark elf phalanx.
The serpentine general sensed the sudden displacement above it and snapped its head upward, its jaw opening to release a torrent of pressurized plasma.
Ren’s thumb pressed against the guard of his katana.
Slink.
He didn’t swing the blade through a wide arc. He cleared the steel by a fraction of an inch and snapped it back into the scabbard before the demon could even complete its breath attack.
[Spatial Severance]
A razor-thin, crescent-shaped fold in reality appeared directly across the serpentine general’s neck. The spatial cut completely bypassed the creature’s magic resistance and reinforced scales, severing the space the neck occupied.
With a sickening, silent slide, the giant demon’s head separated from its torso.
A torrent of dark blood erupted into the air as the massive, headless body plummeted from the rafters, crashing uselessly onto the stone floor below.
Ren dropped down from the catwalk, landing lightly on the back of the falling corpse. His eyes were already locked on the third and final Disaster-class general.
The central commander was currently trying to flank Pho from the rear.
“Pho! Cover!” Ren called out, his voice flat and cutting through the roar of battle.
Pho didn’t look back. He slammed the butt of his ice axe into the stone, unleashing a massive, thirty-foot wave of glacial ice that swept across the central floor, freezing the third general’s lower body in a mountain of core-ice and locking it in place for a single heartbeat.
“All yours!” Pho yelled.
Ren stepped off the falling corpse. He crossed the fifty yards separating him from the trapped commander in less than a millisecond, appearing directly in front of the creature’s three glowing red eyes.
The commander, realizing it was facing a Sovereign-rank entity, let out a desperate, primal roar, channeling every drop of its remaining Bloodrush into a desperate, explosive self-destruction sequence to take out the factory.
Ren’s expression remained flat.
“Too slow,” Ren whispered.
He drew his katana halfway.
A blinding, crescent aura of pure golden force flashed through the air, carving through the central commander’s torso in a four-way cross pattern.
The spatial cuts didn’t just slice the physical flesh; they severed the internal mana channels holding the self-destruction spell together, causing the concentrated energy to collapse harmlessly into gray ash.
The massive demon general dissolved into a cascading mountain of black dust, its heavy obsidian armor clattering uselessly against the stone floor.
With all three generals eliminated, the remaining red demon garrison broke completely.
The three-prong assault closed in like a vice. Pho drove his deathfrost through the center, the dark elf phalanx swept the right flank with lethal shield pushes, and Ren moved along the perimeter catwalks and floor, executing any elite demon that attempted to break the containment.
Within fifteen minutes of absolute, systematic violence, the vast processing hall went dead silent.
The roaring iron vats were silenced, encrusted in thick, humming layers of Pho’s deathfrost.
The red demon garrison. Thousands of elite guards and commanders had been reduced to mounds of shattered ice and drifting ash.
The dark elves had already secured the holding pens, cutting the chains of the traumatized captives and establishing a flawless, white-armored perimeter around the industrial machinery.
Pho stood in the center of the chamber, resting his ice axe against his shoulder as he wiped a smear of frozen black blood from his jaw. He looked around the pristine, frozen slaughterhouse, a dark grin tugging at the corner of his mouth.
“Not a single pipe burst,” Pho noted, tossing a glance toward the catwalk where Ren casually dropped down to stand beside him. “Jack better appreciate all the evidence.”
