Part 2
Luna stood in the kitchen while rolling up her sleeves.
She carefully washes the ingredients as she explains.
“Then, let’s start with breakfast. First, you wash the ingredients like this…”
“Mmm-hmm.”
“And then, here we go. [Boisterous Dance]!”
She released the ingredients into the air. And then, she sliced the food into pieces with her favorite string.
“Eeeehhh? You’re using such amazing techniques in cooking?”
“I’ll use whatever I can get my hands on.”
The strings danced gorgeously, and beautifully sliced pieces were completed.
Lexia tilted her head as she watched.
“That’s strange. I know Luna can cook, but… was she this good?”
“Phew, you don’t know this, but I’ve been working hard behind the scenes to achieve… a certain goal.”
“A certain goal? What’s that? Tell me!”
“It was for that guy, of course──No, nothing.”
“Wait a minute. Could that guy be…? What do you mean, Luna?”
Luna gave a nonchalant look and gave her place to Tito.
“Tito, go ahead.”
“Y-yes! Um… [Concert of Claws]!”
Tito imitated Luna, throwing up the foodstuff and cutting it with her claws.
However, due to unfamiliarity, they were chopped coarsely and unevenly in size.
“Ugh, it’s totally different from Luna-san’s… it’s so difficult…”
“I think you’re putting a little too much effort into it. Relax your shoulders and try again.”
“Yes! ──[Concert of Claws]“
After taking a deep breath, Tito relaxed and waved her claws more smoothly than before.
This time, although a little uneven, proper chopping is completed.
“Wow! I-it’s done!”
“Yes, it’s good. Tito is a quick learner.”
“…Is it normal to use skills in cooking?”
Lexia muttered to herself as she looked at the two of them as if it were a matter of course.
“Now, it’s almost ready.”
The breakfast was ready in no time at all.
“Wow, looks delicious…”
“Mmmm, good job.”
“Fufu. But it’s not over yet. There is one last important seasoning.”
“”Hmm? What’s that?””
Lexia and Tito tilts their heads, and Luna’s mouth hangs open.
“It’s love.”
“Since when do you talk about love, Luna? Hey!”
Luna sprinkled some seasoning on top and finished the breakfast, then let out a satisfied breath.
“Alright, take it to Laila-sama.”
“Y-yes!”
Tito nervously carried the plate with the food on it.
After taking a bite of the dish, Laila said, “Today’s seasoning is exquisite. Is it the work of a first-rate chef?” She exclaimed.

After breakfast, the cleaning class began next.
Luna stood in the middle of the room, cleaning tools in hand.
“Cleaning must be done quickly and carefully. It is always a test of delicate strength and quick judgment. ──[Boisterous Dance]!”
Luna manipulates the string, and the broom and dustpan jump around in all directions, sweeping the dust from the room in the blink of an eye.
“Wow, that’s amazing! Even the ceiling is clean in an instant!”
“Well, that’s a piece of cake.”
“You use the skill for cleaning, too! Besides, it’s perfect! When did you become so good at housework?
“Fufu, actually, I’ve been secretly training to be a bride… No, it’s nothing.”
“Luna? I think I just heard a word that I can’t forget! Hey!”
“Leave him alone. Tito, can you do it?”
“Yes, I will try! ──[Claw Flash]!”
Tito focused her mind with a rag in her hand and ran through the room like a flash of light.
“H-how is it?”
“The lines are good, but there are a few areas left unpolished.”
“Oh, really! Ugh, one more time…!”
When Tito was in high spirits, Luna advised him with a smile.
“It seems that you have become so serious that you are having difficulty seeing your surroundings. Try to broaden your vision and take in the whole picture.”
“…Yes! Broaden my vision──[Claw Flash]!”
Tito kicked the floor with renewed vigor.
She wiped up every inch of the room, catching her next target in her vision, and landed softly.
She looked around the clean and polished room, and her eyes lit up.
“A-amazing! It’s totally different from before!”
“Good, that’s good. Now, the next step is waxing. The trick is to get it done quickly and evenly. Like this.──[Avoidance]!”
“I understand! [Fiery Claw]!”
Squeak, squeak, squeak! Mop, mop, mop! Swish, swish, swish! Cling──!
“…Are these kinds of skills allowed to be used on a daily basis?”
Lexia muttered as she looked around the room, which instantly became shiny and sparkling.
The two then proceeded to perform a variety of skills, and Laila’s living quarters were polished without a speck of dust.
“Phew, so this is what it looks like.”
“Wow… you can do anything, Luna-san! If you have any other advice for me, please let me know!”
“Oh, and yes… be careful with the hem of your skirt.”
“Huh!?”
Her usual clothes have holes for her tail, but her maid uniform doesn’t, and on top of that, it has a short hem.
Tito, whose tail was wagging in excitement, turned bright red and held up the hem that was about to turn up.
Seeing Tito, Luna laughed and cleared her throat.
“Tito is a good learner, and above all, you work very hard. With this, you’ve earned your license.”
“Thank you very much!”
“Do you have a license to clean?”
The two were so filled with a sense of accomplishment that Lexia’s blabbering didn’t reach them.
After finishing the cleaning, Luna let out a sigh of relief and turned to Tito.
“By the way, Tito, if you don’t mind, would you be up for a battle?”
“Eh? A battle, you say?”
“Yes. The truth is, I’ve been spending a lot of time training in housekeeping lately, and I haven’t been able to do much combat training.”
“You are my bodyguard, Luna; what are you doing?”
“Huh. Listen, Lexia. I’m not just a bodyguard; I’m also a maiden. It would be good to be good at housework… for the future.”
“What is that supposed to mean? What do you mean for the future?”
Luna turned to Tito, not caring about Lexia’s howling.
“Tito’s strength is real, and I thought it would be good training for me.”
Tito’s eyes lit up, and she bowed her head at Luna’s offer.
“It’s my pleasure, too!”
***
“Now, are you ready?”
“Yes, I’m ready!”
“…However, if the disciple of the Claw Saint-sama were to take me seriously, I’d be at a disadvantage.”
Seeing Tito, who seemed to be exerting herself more than necessary, Luna pointed to the ceiling.
“The chandelier, by the way… is worth enough for a family of four to live on for three years without any inconvenience.”
“Hyiee!?”
“The paintings, furniture, furnishings, and carpets are all delicate and expensive. It’s good to give it your all, but be careful not to damage anything in the room.”
Tito gulped as Luna lifted the edge of her mouth.
“Ugh, I-I’ll do my best…!”
“Fufu. Now we are equal.”
The two leaped and collided in mid-air.
Strings and claws intersected, sending sparks flying wildly.
“There it is! Hyahh!”
“Not enough! Haahhh!”
“Hmm, I have no idea what’s going on here. After all this time, I still can’t believe how strong those two are.”
Lexia growled as she looked up at the super-fast battle that could not be captured by the eyes of an ordinary person.
The two glared at each other as they landed on the beam.
“Ugh… I never knew it was so hard to fight with less strength.”
In terms of simple physical strength, Tito, a disciple of the Claw Saint, was superior, but for Tito, who had dealt with monsters in the desert, this was her first time in an indoor combat situation. Moreover, she was bound by fetters to keep her strength in check so that she would not break things.
Luna, on the other hand, was accustomed to fighting in confined spaces, and she was more mobile than Tito, with a greater number of moves.
Tito couldn’t help but lean forward to observe her light fighting style.
“Um, Luna-san, what do you keep in mind when you fight?”
“Well… I am conscious of the slow and steady of my power, especially when fighting in a narrow space.”
“Slow and steady?”
“Yes. I watch my opponent carefully and put all my strength into the right moment. In other situations, I let go of excess power. You have to know when to use your strength. If you do that, you will be able to fight in tight spaces.”
“In the right moment…”
Seeing Tito pondering this, Luna’s mouth corners lifted up.
“Now, let’s resume!”
“! Yes!”
Luna spread the strings around the room and used them as footholds to fly around.
Tito clenched her teeth as she followed.
“Not yet… not yet, restrain…!”
The more she accelerates to catch Luna, the more her body heats up, and the more the overflowing power tries to eat through her reason from the inside. While suppressing it, she waits for that moment.
Luna held up her hand as she ran across the room.
“[Prison]!”
“Ugh! [Whirlwind Claw]…!”
Strings are stretched around Tito and shrink at once.
Tito managed to evade the strings just before she was trapped by them by creating wind with her claws.
“Kuh…!”
At the moment Luna stopped moving slightly in the aftermath of the wind, Tito gathered strength in her knees.
Kicking the floor with all her might, she leaps in a straight line toward Luna above her head.
“Hyaaaah!”
“As expected! I’ll get a little more serious──[Spiral]!”
Luna flashed her arm sharply.
The bundled strings, spinning violently, approach Tito’s eyes.
“Kuh…!”
The speed and power of the attack, however, instead of avoiding it, Tito accelerated even more.
“(Slow and steady… of force, and find the moment when you give it your all…!)”
Staring at the tip of the snarling string, she remembered Luna’s words.
“Just here, just for this one moment──I’m going to hit it with everything I’ve got!”
Tito exploded with power, just in time for the moment her claw touched the tip of the string.
The next moment, the strings, which had been twisted into a drill-like shape, unraveled and scattered in the air.
Tito twisted in mid-air to kill the momentum and landed softly.
“Wha… Just now, I…”
She rolled her eyes. In the past, Tito would have been unable to control her power and would have gone out of control.
But with Luna’s guidance, she was able to control her powers.
“It seems to have worked.”
“Ah…”
Impressed by Tito’s success, Luna smiled at her.
“Now, can you still do it?”
“Yes! Please!”
Lexia growled as she looked up at the two of them flying around in all directions.
“Mumumu…! I’m an escort here, too. I must do my best!”
Her gaze wandered to see what she could find but stopped on a spear displayed on the wall.
“Ara, this is so cool. Yuuya-sama used to use a spear. Maybe he’ll admire me when I learn to use one too!”
Lexia lifted the antique spear with both hands and swung it, wobbling under its weight.
“Eiii! Hyaaaah!”
***
Around that time.
Prime Minister Najum was heading toward Laila’s living quarters, his footsteps rough.
He clenched his back teeth in frustration, remembering how Laila and her maids had refuted him last night.
“Damn you, you impudent little twits, you mock me like that… what a first princess of a magical powerhouse. No matter how much she pretends to be a lady, inside, she is a selfish, uneducated woman. She probably spends her time in her room being self-indulgent. I’ll skin her hide and put her to shame…!”
When he arrived at Laila’s living quarters, Najum angrily opened the door without knocking.
“I’m coming in, Laila-sama!”
“Eii! Hyaahh!”
With a cheerful battle cry, the tip of a spear snagged Najum’s beard.
“Aaaaahhh!”
“Ara, I’m sorry.”
As Najum flinched, Lexia apologized with a calm face.
“W-w-w-w…What are you doing, you bastard?”
“I’m guarding Laila-sama. It’s only natural for an escort to protect their master from intruders who enter the room, isn’t it?”
“T-that’s… W-while that may be true…”
Najum’s sharp eyes lifted up in a fiery rage at Lexia, who said as a matter of course──and he screamed when he saw Luna and Tito flying around the room.
“W-what the hell? Maids are flying all over the place! What the hell is going on?”
“So, what do you want with Laila-sama?”
Najum came to his senses and coughed, turning bright red.
“Oh, here’s the guest list for tomorrow night’s banquet. Many state guests will be in attendance, so tell her not to be rude to them!”
He shoves the papers at Lexia and leaves as if to escape. From the other side of the door, a voice filled with indignation could be heard.
“What is it with those maids, really?”
As Lexia looked over the papers she had been given, Luna and Tito alighted.
“Prime Minister Najum, what did he want?”
“Tomorrow night, there will be a party for the unveiling of Laila-sama. Here are the papers.”
“I see. And what were you doing there?”
Luna looked suspiciously at Lexia’s spear.
“Training! I don’t want to be the only one watching while Luna and Tito work hard.”
“But that doesn’t mean you should be using a spear.”
“…Is that so?”
Lexia, who had been puffing out her chest, did a complete reversal and slumped her shoulders.
“I also want to have some way to fight. I once practiced hoping to at least be able to use offensive magic, but it didn’t work at all…”
Although Lexia had inherited a vast amount of magical power from her high elf mother, she had been away from magic since an incident.
Normally, it takes many years of training to master magic. Therefore, no matter how much magical power she had, she would not be able to use it overnight.
Seeing Lexia unusually depressed, Luna shook her head in disappointment.
“Don’t worry about it. You have a role that only you can fulfill.”
“That’s right! Leave the fighting to us, Lexia-san, and be the Lexia-san you always are!”
“R-right! There’s no point in lamenting what you can’t do! I have to look forward!”
Luna and Tito laugh at Lexia, who has regained her usual smile.
“Phew, I’ve worked up a good sweat, by the way. Let’s take a bath.”
“That sounds good! Well, let’s go talk to Laila-sama then!”
