Chapter 481: A Monster
Chapter 481: A Monster
Razeal heard her words and slowly smiled again. It seemed he had hurt her ego more than he originally thought. Her retreat earlier even if it had only lasted a fraction of a second and had clearly been instinctive had stayed with her. That explained why she was standing here now with her hand stretched out, insisting that he do it again. Still, he shook his head slightly and looked at her raised palm before speaking.
"Leave it. You might die." His voice was calm and direct. There was no mockery in it and no attempt to provoke her. He genuinely meant it. Right now he had absolutely no intention of using that again. The whole idea sounded terrible.
He himself did not know what would happen if he applied Flow properly on someone at her level. Until now he had only experimented with it in fragments and under conditions he understood. This was different.
At his answer, Nerrisa’s brows rose slightly. For a moment she simply looked at him. Not angry. Not offended. Just interested. There was something strangely amusing to her in hearing those words said so naturally. Someone had looked directly at her and calmly stated that she might die. Her smile slowly widened.
"Quite confident, aren’t you?" she asked. Her tone remained light. "Don’t worry. Go on. Try it."
Razeal did not move. His eyes stayed fixed on her. "I’m serious," he said again.
"You might actually die. I can’t control the power once it hits."
And that was true. He honestly had no idea anymore how dangerous Flow had become. Every time he used it recently, it felt stranger. Less like manipulating force and more like forcing things into movement they were never meant to follow. Once he applied the condition, it continued. He was not even sure he could stop it anymore.
Now Nerrisa looked mildly irritated. Not enough for normal people to notice, but enough that both Razeal and Sofia immediately felt it.
She smiled and said, "Do it or I’ll kill you." She said it so casually that it almost sounded like a joke.
Yet both Razeal and Sofia felt coldness run down their backs. Not killing intent. Not pressure. Just the uncomfortable feeling that she was completely serious if pushed. Then her expression softened again and she raised her hand slightly higher.
"Also... do your best. To the absolute peak of your ability." She winked at him and moved her fingers once as if inviting him forward. Her posture looked absurdly relaxed. Like she was offering him a greeting instead of asking him to attack her.
Razeal quietly stared at her for several seconds before swallowing.
Fine. If that was what she wanted. Slowly he raised his hand and moved it toward hers. Still, uncertainty remained in his head. She won’t die... right? She wanted this herself. And there was no way someone at her level dies from something like this. Right? Maybe injuries. Maybe serious ones. After all, if this worked the way he thought, she would be hit by force measured in trillions upon trillions of joules in a single instant. Enough to launch someone into somewhere unknown. His expression slowly sharpened.
"Prepare yourself," he said quietly. Nerrisa only smiled at him and waited.
Then Razeal extended his hand and pressed his palm against hers. At that exact moment, he activated Flow.
Inside his mind he chose not local movement. Not wind. Not any other local momentum either. He chose coriolis force. The rotational flow of the world itself. Planetary movement. The turning of an entire world.
He did not use all of it. Obviously not. That would be insane. But for the first time in his life, he chose to draw from one percent of the entire planetary Coriolis flow. One percent. Even that amount sounded ridiculous. Part of him worried she would think it was disappointing and actually become annoyed afterward. So he committed.
And just as he did that..
Instantly
BOOOOOOM!!
A deep explosive sound tore outward.
Air burst.
Pressure collapsed.
Nerrisa’s expression changed immediately.
Her long platinum hair snapped violently backward as if struck by force too sudden to understand. Her clothes whipped behind her. Space around her distorted slightly. For the first time since appearing here
her body reacted.
Razeal immediately felt their palms disconnect.
His eyes followed.
She moved.
Actually moved. His shoulders loosened slightly.
Good. Means it worked and even she cant do anything against it
But that thought stopped halfway.
Because suddenly he saw her face.
Her expression of surprise remained only briefly before her lips slowly curved upward.
Then widened. And widened more.
Her eyes brightened.
Not with anger. Not with excitement.
Something stranger.
Dangerously interested. Almost crazyly delighted.
As if she was saying.. good?
Again.
She had actually slid backward one step.
One full step.
Then suddenly she pressed her foot downward.
CRACK
The ground beneath her exploded apart. Huge fractures spread outward.
Creating yet another booming shockwave, the impact spread outward with absurd force. Cracks immediately burst across the land and continued expanding without slowing, racing across the battlefield as if something beneath the world itself had shifted. Everything behind Nerrisa simply disappeared.
The entire battlefield got razed flat in an instant. Fortunately, behind her there had only been empty land already destroyed by the earlier fighting, but even then the scene was ridiculous. The remains of Zane’s corpse, together with the broken supreme armor still attached to parts of his body, suddenly lost shape under that pressure. They broke apart into something finer than dust small cosmic particles that scattered and disappeared into the violent currents created by the force. Broken golems, debris, shattered structures, corpses, and stone all followed. Nothing resisted. Nothing remained.
And yet
Nerrisa remained exactly where she was. Her figure stood in the middle of all of it without moving.
Around her, the image itself seemed to distort. Space looked bent around her body, stretched unnaturally as though the world was trying to move and she simply refused to participate. It looked wrong to watch. The pressure could not move her, so instead it flowed around her shoulders and sides, splitting and curving as if encountering something fixed into reality itself. It created an image so unnatural that it almost hurt to look at. She did not move even an inch. Not because she was resisting. It looked closer to rejection. As if her existence itself denied being displaced.
Razeal’s eyes widened. His entire body broke into goosebumps. His usual expressionless face completely collapsed.
Is... Is she standing against that?
His eyes stayed fixed on her.
That force that was planetary movement?? That was force borrowed from the turning of an entire world pushing against her.
And she was standing.
Razeal could not understand it.
Normally, when he applied Flow to something, the result was immediate. Objects did not resist. Metal shredded. Matter collapsed. Even things absurdly durable lost structure and dispersed into fine cosmic dust before disappearing entirely into particles. Yet she didn’t. Not only did she not break he couldn’t even see a scratch on her. Her body looked untouched. Undamaged.
It was as if destruction itself simply did not apply.
She stood there under pressure that should have crushed, torn, displaced, and erased.
If he had to compare.. it looked like someone standing inside cosmic winds and refusing to move.
Like literally every atom in her body should have already been stripped away atoms themselves getting dismantled into pieces.
yet wasn’t.
Not only that she was pushing back. The pressure itself bent around her.
As if she were the immovable thing and force had to find another path.
What... What was this?
Razeal stared.
Then their eyes met.
Nerrisa looked directly at him. Her eyes curved upward. Her lips stretched into a wide smile.
A smile that looked strangely wild.
Not madness.
Enjoyment.
She was watching his face. Watching his shock. And enjoying it.
Her egowhich had suffered from retreating earlier.. looked fully restored.
Everything that happened only lasted around a second.
Then the force finally disappeared.
The pressure vanished.
The Flow ended. Because it had only existed while contact remained.
Once their bodies separated the imposed Flow ceased.
The impossible pressure disappeared.
The world calmed. Silence returned.
Nerrisa still stood where she had been.
Only the ground beneath her feet had shattered.
And behind her the battlefield was gone.
From her position outward
everything had been leveled into a massive V-shaped trail stretching for tens of miles. Corpses, golems, debris, broken armor everything had turned into dust and disappeared somewhere beyond sight.
Finally no longer pressed by that unreasonable force
Nerrisa slowly pulled her feet from the ground where they had sunk.
Small pieces of broken stone fell away.
Then as if nothing had happened she casually clapped her hands together.
And started walking toward Razeal.
No exhaustion.
No stiffness.
No sign of injury.
Her lips remained slightly curved.
She looked at him.
"Impressive." Her voice remained calm.
Then she nodded once.
"Really an impressive technique."
Razeal stared at her.
His throat moved.
"M... monster..."
He swallowed.
His voice came out quieter than usual. His eyes still trembling.
He genuinely couldn’t believe what he had just watched. And one had to understand for Razeal to call someone a monster? That meant something.
He wasn’t someone who got impressed easily.
He rarely looked at something and thought it was impossible.
He rarely reacted.
He rarely admitted inferiority.
He almost never looked at anyone and called them crazy.
Yet now looking at this woman casually walking toward him after surviving something that should not have been survivable
he genuinely couldn’t think of another word.
Just a simple word.. Monster.
