I Love Destroying Worlds' Plot

Chapter 1366: 19.25 Second Red Star - Back to the Hive

Chapter 1366: 19.25 Second Red Star - Back to the Hive

Hive, the main planet of the Zerg Race...

At last, the group reached the Imperial Palace with Queen Titania. Along with the remaining survivors and the Female Zerg Soldier Nier, they were dumped by Kian and Roan at the resource planet that Titania had entrusted to Cid Warlock. They made their scheduled return to the hive after leaving the others there. To their surprise, a long line of female zergs would greet them.

These female zergs waited all day in line to summon the Zerg King, dressing in their finest attire. Nobody knows why King Augustus called all the female zergs into the Imperial Palace, but the first ones to arrive claimed to have been given the chance to interact with the emperor and even have a brief opportunity to hold his hand. After that, they were sent out right away with a present.

Since the Zerg Queen abandoned him all by himself in the palace, there are rumors that the Zerg King is hunting for a concubine.

That being said, Queen Titania, Cid Warlock, and their entourage were greeted upon their arrival by a lengthy queue of female zergs inside the palace. Normally a silent queen, Queen Titania became icily serious upon seeing this scene. He nearly burst into flames the moment he learned what Augustus was doing.

Queen Titania mumbled, "Where is the king right now?"

The little palace servant trembled under the sudden coldness in the area. This unexpected drop in temperature is obviously caused by the queen.

"His Majesty is at the throne hall!!"

The invisible little moon and the two wardens protecting them at the distance felt the Zerg Queen's hidden anger. They couldn't help but sweat at the future scene of these two conflicts because of this event.

System Yue commented, [Uwaa~ would the Sovereign Lord get beaten up if Queen Titania happens to be Lord Hei's incarnation in this world?]

Colonel Cyril said, "Hm. I wonder if there is a washboard in this world?"

"I'll help look for it. I have a feeling that Master will need it badly in the future. Let's go. We can do our report after they quarrel," Marquess Conrad said as he pulled away his lover.

System Yue said, [Ah! Wait for me. Have you seen A'Yang? I haven't seen him much lately.]

Marquess Conrad said, "Isn't he on mission? He will return when he finishes his tasks."

The warden couple took their leave, while System Yue chose to stay. He can only follow after Queen Titania as he barges in the Throne Hall to confront King Augustus. Cid Warlock and Solan, who didn't know where to go next, had no choice but to chase after the Zerg Queen. They all ended up going to the Throne Hall.

---

At the Hive's Throne Hall

The scene where a row of attractively dressed female zergs are standing in front of the Zerg King, who is sitting on his throne, staring at him with seductive eyes. Regretfully, the sovereign was occupied with his duties. He concentrated on each female zerg's response.

Many times in this hall, there was a collective averting of eyes reaction and a frigid touch as their hand was gripped with simple touch and he stared into the eyes of the female zergs.

As they accompanied their king on the throne, the palace attendants next to the Zerg King had already switched places twice. Even they were unable to comprehend the significance of this action, yet the benefits are numerous. That is why nobody voiced complaints about this peculiar circumstance.

When Queen Titania came, King Augustus seemed pale due to sleep deprivation and an unhappy disposition. Every time he held and gazed at a female zerg, Titania saw with disappointment that most of these female zergs would quickly avert their eyes upon encountering the Zerg King's obsidian eyes.

King Augustus mumbles, "It's not you either. How long do I need to do this?"

"Eh? Did you say something, your majesty?" The Female Zerg in front of the King asked.

King Augustus didn't lose his temper and immediately let go of the man's hand. He gestured for the guards to send the people away for today and tell them to come back in three days. He was too tired to do this sh*t for days. Only when the people left the throne hall did King Augustus pin his temples as if annoyed by something. Silence descended in the hall.

Until the Zerg King noticed Queen Titania and the other people behind him.

"Hm. You're back, Titania. Have you finished your business outside?" He also noticed the presence of someone familiar, but he isn't the type to remember people whom he killed. At least in his eyes, he taught that man who tried to assassinate him. As for whether he is alive or not,. He doesn't care anymore.

"You brought some new faces with you. Hm? That one besides you feels familiar. Where have I seen this face?" King Augustus asked, looking confused as he only felt Cid Warlock look similar to something he couldn't remember.

Queen Titania said, "It's the little one who tried to kill you that day."

"Oh? Hm! You're still alive? That's amazing! Maybe my strength was out of balance that day; you guys forced me out during my meditation after all," King Augustus said. Then he said something that took everyone off guard.

"Are you here for the throne? I don't mind. Give me 3 human general heads or one of the human marshals, and I will give you the title of crowned prince."

Cid Warlock was particularly stunned, as was everyone else in the hall except from Marquess Conrad and Colonel Cyril, who stood behind the Zerg King. The Queen's estimation appears to be accurate. My zerg royal ancestry was well known to Augustus Kaiser, the Zerg King. If it were not for that, he would not be being so friendly and saying such absurd things.

Queen Titania exclaimed, "What nonsense are you talking about? You want to abdicate and give him your throne!"

"Not right away. After all, he needs to make a name for himself. At the same time, forsake the name of the Warlock Clan," King Augustus said, but when he spoke of the last sentence, he looked down on Cid Warlock from his throne. He looked serious, and his aura was heavy, almost making those before him kneel in front of him.

Cid Warlock hesitated. The Warlock family name is something he inherited from his other father. He couldn't just throw it away, but that doesn't mean that he couldn't kill humans or hate them. He completely lost faith in the human race after his parents were forced to their deaths and his people were almost exterminated.

Snort!

The tense aura that befalls then fades with this snort. King Augustus looks disappointed with how Cid Warlock hesitated just now.

"Such reluctance. You won't be able to sit on this throne as long as you have that. The Zerg Race's hate from humans originates from them killing their cubs. Don't you know that a female zerg can only give birth once or twice in their life. Many of these children died when the humans attacked the hive the first time?" King Augustus said.

Lieutenant Solan spoke up from the side of human knowledge he knows, "Didn't the insect race eat the humans first and start the war between two races?"

"Nonsense! The ones who did the killing first were the humans. You mistaken our race for those hateful heretics that practice Cannibalism," Colonel Cyril said. At least that's what the memories of his current vessel possessed.

Cid Warlock asked, "These heretic zergs you are talking about—how are they different from ordinary zergs?"

"They possessed an insatiable bloodthirst and a murderous aura. The most obvious feature of theirs is a pair of dull gray, lifeless eyes. That feature is unique only to those zergs who ate their own kind," Queen Titania replied.

"So it was them!?" The two halflings exclaimed together.

Cid Warlock and Lieutenant Solan remembered those Zergs from the conflict who had repeatedly ambushed them on the battlefield. Because of how similar those monsters appear, people have always assumed that they are members of the insect race. Who would have guessed that they were despised by their fellow insects and considered heretics?

Queen Titania said, "As expected, you guys met them before. Those trashes like to act like members of the Zerg Race and put all the blame on the Hive. They were thrown out, so they put all their anger on us. I should have exterminated them all!"

"Corrupted ones aren't easy to see through unless they are fully tainted. This cannot be blamed on you. Either way, you should make some preparations. After this week, I shall introduce you as a member of the Royal Family. You have to expose your wings at that time," King Augustus said to Cid Warlock. "Conrad, Cyril, teach them the cultivation technique.

You guys can leave."

"Yes, your Majesty," Marquess Conrad responded as they were tasked with leaving the hall with Cid Warlock and former Lieutenant Solan.

After the rest left the hall, the only ones that remained were King Augustus Kaiser and Queen Ambrosia. There's a bit of awkwardness between the two at first; the first one to break the silence was the Zerg Queen.

Queen Titania asked with hesitation in her words. "Are you... are you still looking for the traces of your wife?"

"Yes, of course," King Augustus responded.

"Have you found any traces yet?" Queen Titania carefully asked.

Sigh~

King Augustus said, "I've been looking in the hive these days. If I can't find him in the hive, I will have to leave. But it would take a while before that useless brat completely sided with our race. But tell him that he can be officially crowned once he gives me what I asked for before."

"I will take a rest. Now that I've returned, I might go to the military for a while. I had the feeling that the humans would attack the hive," Queen Titania said.

King Augustus said, "I've guessed. That's why I gave that mission to that brat. You can train him yourself if you feel unsatisfied with him. In the first place, I can only come out of this place when the whole hove is in danger. Don't push yourself too much."

Queen Titania said, "Hm. I brought him here with me. Did you not think of me scheming against you? What if I feel like overthrowing you?" Moreover, how could you change so much like this?

The current King Augustus had once again grown up. He was no longer that petite a teenager when the Zerg Queen left. At least now he has some features of manliness on him, though his body hasn't completely matured yet like Marquess Conrad. Queen Titania understood something when Marquess Conrad and Colonel Cyril appeared behind them.

Obviously, those two were in stealth the whole time, and I was with them even in the Federation Star.

Feeling upset, Queen Titania questioned, "Did you send Marquess Silver and Cyril to chase after us when we leave the hive?"

"Yes." King Augustus responded without hesitation, making the Zerg Queen feel more upset.

Queen Titania asked, "Did you do that because you don't trust me?"

"No. I only sent them out to guard you. You've only brought five soldiers with you. If you get ambushed like what happened to the Zerg Emperor and Zerg Empress in the past, the Hive will be in turmoil," King Augustus explained.

Queen Titania asked, "Is that all?"

"That... is all," King Augustus Kaiser said, as he hadn't even noticed he hesitated just now. The reason for his hesitation was because his eyes and the queen's eyes had met. This caused a misunderstanding between the two to take place.

The Zerg Queen avoided the king's eyes. No one knows if Queen Titania's reaction is similar to those of the Female Zergs before or because he was upset in his heart and felt a sudden disappointment that made his heart hurt.

Queen Titania said, "That's all from me. Please excuse me. I shall take my leave."

The sudden formal farewell stunned King Augustus, and he didn't even realize the misunderstanding the Zerg Queen had suffered from. But ever since this day, Queen Titania has started avoiding meeting the Zerg King unless necessary, and his stay in the military has gotten longer and longer.
