Chapter 1936: 24.197 Sixth Violet Star - Backlash

The conflict between Student Xue Laira and Student Du Kirika was witnessed by everyone. The majority felt that Du Kirika had spoken badly and looked down on the spirit race. In most human’s eyes, elementals are not that smart unless they’ve reached king class and above. Even those at lord and commander class had barely any intelligence. It’s not a wonder some race looked down on them.

However, Du Kirika speaks badly towards spirits and even treated Xue Laira like one due to her half bloodline being that from the spirit race. Tame her? What kind of question is this? She obviously looked down on Xue Laira’s identity and wanted to treat her like any low class spirit being that humans can contract with.

That’s why Xue Laira retaliated at Du Kirika by saying that anything with soul in this world can be contracted and within this range humans are included. She is indirectly saying to this schoolmate that if she intends to contract her, she would try to do so as well. When that happens, Du Kirika will become an existence close to that of a slave in human words.

As an arrogant lady from the elven race, Du Kirika was greatly offended by the words of Xue Laira. However, upon seeing her Elemental Emperor, she was so shocked that her mouth widened enough for a whole egg to fit. The pressure of an elemental on this level is too much for a spirit tamer which is only a silver rank like Du Kirika.

Grandpa Tree speaks as he looks at his master, "Princess, what would you like for this old man to do?" It even glanced at Du Kirika and the latter felt a huge pressure falling on her.

She almost suffered a backlash on the spot.

Xue Laira continued to stare at Du Kirika coldly and said to Grandpa Tree.

A strong light covered the towering tree and a human figure fell on the stage. But unlike the image they got from the name of this elemental emperor, the one that appeared behind Xue Laira is a handsome man with dark green long hair braided with golden tree branches forming a huge crown.

Grandpa Tree also appeared to be in his late twenties with pointy ears like high elves almost looking a bit like a high ranking elf, the Elf King. His features were exquisite and otherworldly. Those pairs of golden green eyes say that he is not a human nor an elf. He floats behind Xue Laira with a huge pair of fairy wings on his back looking like a fairy guardian that protects Xue Laira.

Everyone was amazed by this scene. No one expected that F-Class’s Xue Laira possessed such a powerful elemental of wood. The kind that looks very similar to a human after it transforms.

At the audience area...

Principal Bing Yilou said, "Elemental Emperor. A being stronger than an Elemental King or a Beast King. It was said they possessed intelligence similar to that of a human and possessed a bit of divine energy. An Elemental God evolved from this unique rank among the spirits."

The Elf King said, "This one doesn’t look like an ordinary contracted elemental. He clearly looks at the girl as if looking at his grandchild. Maybe he had a connection to the girl’s father." A connection with the only Elemental God in the Spirit World.

The Dwarf King said, "This girl’s Elemental Father must not be an ordinary one."

"Do you think I am lying?" Mo Minkong said as he noticed the expression of the others around him. His wife on the other hand already knew about this fact.

General Gu asked, "If that’s real then why is this little girl alone in the human world? Why isn’t her father by her side?"

Mo Minkong explained. "A god once ascended had two choices. To stay and protect their world or to leave and explore beyond. Those who chose the former cannot leave the world he had ascended from. Like I did to this world, I am unable to leave it."

"The Elemental God must have chosen the spirit world. He is unable to leave that world and this little girl is most likely born in the human world. She is born with more human bloodline and cannot live in the Spirit World. She will die in that place."

"Moreover, it’s hard for a human to live after giving birth to a mixed one. Your race possessed the weakest physique after all. Either that, or she died from something else."

The adults finally understood a bit of Xue Laira’s situation. Her mother must have died a long time ago. Unable to leave the Spirit World, the Elemental God can only send an Elemental Emperor to protect her daughter in the human world. Or else why would an elemental emperor appear in the land of humans.

Back to the stage...

Du Kirika kept staring at the Elemental Emperor behind Xue Laira. She had completely lost interest in the latter.

Seeing that the two students are ready, Principal Bing Yilou said, "Students get ready. You may begin!"

As soon as the battle began, Du Kirika summoned her Elemental. It’s unexpectedly an Elemental that controls the Darkness. It’s even a Lord Rank. The moment this Elemental without a shape appeared, it covered the whole stage preventing others from seeing what was happening inside.

Xue Laira frowned and looked at the mist-like shadow that covered the whole stage like a black dome. She tried to move and suddenly felt that her own shadow restrained her.

Du Kirika said, "Don’t bother. It’s impossible for humans to break the restraints of darkness. It affects both the mental and physical health of the targeted one."

"Just wait here and wait me steal your Elemental Emperor~ heheh~"

At this moment, Du Kirika no longer hid her intention. Inside this dome, nothing can escape unless she is defeated. She looks like a crazed lady who does whatever she desires, making her mental health unstable. Elements of Darkness can easily corrode one mind as most of them were born from the void.

Even the Gods from the upper realm cannot completely block corrosion of the darkness and the void much less a human like Du Kirika. This is a power no human can control.

The God of Destruction and the Sovereign God of Void and Darkness were watching from a distance. The moment the Dark type elemental appeared a certain change of Ye Xiajie’s face was made. This didn’t escape the eyes of Hei Anjing.

"Is there something wrong with this Dark Elemental?" The God of Destruction asked his beloved.

Du Kirika was approaching the Elemental Emperor that was restrained by the darkness as well. She started chanting a few words which made Grandpa Tree feel his head was in chaos. Just as he was about to lose his mind, someone yanked his soul back and woke him up. The force contract was countered by him and Du Kirika was the most affected by the backlash.

She coughed blood and felt her head was about to explode.

Du Kirika screamed in pain as she held her head, her nose, and ears were bleeding and the Dark Elemental got affected by her due to their connection. The Black Dome disappears as a puddle of black matter was wriggling beside the student whose mind state had gone chaotic due to backlash.
