Chapter 1948: 24.209 Sixth Violet Star - The Unexpected

Upon seeing the beasts waiting for them below, Long Juedi and others all prepared to fight. If they didn’t want to become food for the beast they must destroy them and stand firm on the ground to fight with the other survivors. The whole gymnasium is now full of dead students, beasts and blood. The scent of rust reeks too much making one’s stomach churns.

Long Juedi and his classmates worked together to eliminate the beasts. The first one to move is Xue Laira who had asked her Grandpa Tree to capture as many beasts as he could on the ground. While the beasts are being restrained, the other would behead it. The six of them worked together to eliminate the beast and successfully went down.

However, as soon as they reached the ground the slide melted which instantly froze the beasts in the area slowing them down.

Nangong Rui’s face turned pale. The overwhelming power of an Elemental Emperor is too much for him to control at this moment. After using it twice or thrice he would black out as his body couldn’t bear it. Now he is being protected by Xue Laira who was seated on her grandpa tree’s inhuman form.

"I’ll give the rest to you. Xiao Lan... Listen to your Xue-jiejie."

"It’s alright, Xiao Lan. Your master just needs to sleep for a bit. Can you listen to Jiejie for now."

{Um. Xiao Lan will listen to Xue-Jiejie. The master said to listen to my sister!} The Elemental Emperor of ice and water said.

The young elemental emperor panicked seeing her master faint. Thankfully, Xue Laira is capable of conversing with the small one and unlike Nangong Rui she had the ability and qi to control two Elemental Emperors.

Xue Laira said, "Xiao Lan, go fly around. Cover the other humans with ice. Not freezing, okay. Protect, make a small barrier around them. Be careful not to get caught by beasts."

The young Elemental Emperor looks around and nods her head. Even though Xiao Lan now has a human size form, she can still transform to her small form. That’s why Xue Laira left the survivor for her to protect. She is indeed powerful but even for her it is impossible to control her full ability without contract. That’s why Xue Laira can only give her tasks which don’t need her full capabilities.

While the Elemental Emperor of ice and water fly around to save people, Long Juedi and others focus on killing the beasts with everything they got. They are a bit unlucky as the class adviser of F-Class and Genius Class were both away when this happened. Or maybe whoever planned this had intentionally sent those two powerful teachers away. There is also the fact that the two princes of the beastmen race were busy repairing the ancient forest and happen to not be in the academy today.

With the usual people who support and guide them, Long Juedi completely took over the full command of his class. He chose to focus on the beast as the vanguard. Seeing this the teachers who are still alive move around to gather the alive students in one place.

Long Juedi said, "Don’t let even a single beast pass us!"

"Yes!" Everyone from F-Class said.

Prince Heva said, "The S-Class will fight with you!"

"Thank you. Fill in the gaps!" Long Juedi said.

With both the genius class and F-Class blocking most of the beasts, the teachers after securing the still alive students joined the fight. However, as if the beasts pouring out of the portal were endless, the monsters didn’t ease up.

Cao Heiji said, "This is endless!"

"We must do something about the portal," said the Elf Prince Heva.

Long Juedi frowned but he had no means to destroy the portal. He asked, "Do you know how to destroy a portal?"

Sadly, no students were able to answer and a teacher had to give the answer they wanted to hear.

"To destroy a portal you need a powerful and large energy to cancel it out or cut through it. But... Only platinum ranked and above warriors can do it. Any other living thing that dares to touch the portal will be sucked inside." The teacher said as he himself felt helpless of the situation.

Princess Shika asked, "How about retreating for now? This is something we can’t solve at all."

"People still need to remain and call for someone who can cut this portal. Either call Senior An and Senior Hunluan, the principal or... Ask Prince Hei and Prince Ye’s help," The Elf Princess Hevana said.

Long Juedi looked at Haerin and said, "Haerin, go home and ask for the help of your brothers."

"No. I will not leave you here!" Haerin said.

Long Juedi said, "Don’t be stubborn. I will not die."

"NO. I don’t believe you!" Hearin said.

She knew that these beasts might be weak but their number is the greatest. Calling her brothers will put Long Juedi and her classmate in more danger. Then there is only one way to fight their way out.

"I will summon all my beast," Haerin said.

Long Juedi frowned and disagreed. "No. Your body will not bear it. Moreover, we don’t even know how many beasts are still there."

"But there is no other way! Even if I called my brothers it would still be too late!" Haerin said.

In the end, she made a decision to summon all her beast. Her beasts were no ordinary Beast Kings. They are beast kings who used to rule the Barren Land. By summoning them, they should be able to buy more time. But Harrin’s body cannot bear summoning all her beast. She could have done it in the training hall stage which was enhanced by her brothers to make up with the qi needed to call their beasts but outside that place, it would be impossible to summon more than one.

Now she plans to summon all three Beast Kings, doing so her body would suffer the most. Haerin made a decision and Long Juedi couldn’t stop her anymore. Xue Laira suddenly appeared beside Haerin and pats her head.

Xue Laira said, "I will do it as well."

{Princess, NO! Summoning me alone is already too much for you!} Grandpa Tree said.

Xue Laira said, "There is no other choice. While we try to block the beast, bring all other students outside. We can at least buy you ten minutes."

"I will stay to carry you two away just in case something happens," Long Juedi said. He looked at Cao Wanji and Cao Heiji. "I do not know which of you had the fastest speed. Can you run towards the Ancient forest and shout that Haerin’s life is in danger? As long as those two heard about it they would definitely come."

"Leave it to me. I can move faster than my younger brother," said Cao Heiji.

In the end, the decision was made. Xue Laira and Haerin will try to block the beast that has been finalized. Except for these three students, all others will retreat and call for help.

Elf Prince Heva who had no means to help said, "Good luck. Don’t die."

"I will not die." Long Juedi said.

Xue Laira and Haerin started chanting, they needed to summon powerful beasts and spirits to block all these beasts. In the middle of their summoning, the qi needed to sustain the connection was too large for their bodies to bear. Others needed to protect them for a while. Blood started to trickle down from their eyes, nose and ear but the two ladies didn’t stop their chants. When they opened their eyes, three huge beast kings close to becoming a beast emperor appeared from Haerin’s side.

From Xue Laira’s side, a huge spirit door was summoned and all of the elemental kings that had signed contracts with her had come out as well. Humanoid Elemental reaches a dozen numbers in the world of humans.

Xue Laira and Haerin commanded, "Eliminate all the beasts from that portal!"

As this command fell, both the beast kings and elemental kings had attacked the beasts coming out from the portal. This battle is more intense than when students are fighting and not even a single beast has passed through. No gaps can be found for these wild beasts to sneak in.

The teachers seeing this scene took this as a chance to get the other students out of the place and find a safer place to stop burdening the students who are trying their best to save them.

"It is a chance now. Take all the injured and come out with me!" The teacher said,

With some teachers leading, the students had all run out of the place. Some teachers remain. Just in case something happens that is unexpected, these adults are willing to sacrifice themselves to pull out the three students to safety. The three beast kings of Haerin are powerful indeed and this includes the elemental kings under Xue Laira.

But they didn’t know that beyond that open portal are mutated beasts who seem to be only at gold or platinum rank but all of their strength has reached the king’s realm and there are at least more than a hundred that are waiting to come out of that portal. On the other hand, the beast and elementals on their side had fought for so long.

The Flood Dragon King complained, {This is endless! Can they just all come out!?}

{Watch your mouth, you jinx!} The Black Turtle King complained.

It was at this moment that the aura emitted from the portal had suddenly changed. Those at king rank regardless if they are humans or not had immediately felt that changed. They are now looking at the portal with dread in their eyes. They can feel more than hundreds of King rank aura coming from the portals.

The King Kong Beast King said, {Silence. We are retreating. There are too many of them.}

After picking Haerin, who is almost out of breath, and Long Juedi, they intended to run away when they heard the portal crack as if being forcibly widened. Everyone in the area regardless of race was dumbfounded.
