Though the words of Zhi Yang and Zhi Yue seem cold and ruthless, this is an undeniable truth. Compared to the lives of Heri and Vega, the lives of Mo Minkong and Huzi can affect this world more. If not for his mate being a part of this world he would have this place and go to the upper realm to report to the Mo Clan.

Mo Minkong hugged his mate and comforted him, "Don't worry. Nothing will happen to your brother. He is well protected there. Have you forgotten about the blessing? With that blessing it is almost impossible for them to die."

"What does that mean? The ancient forest is in danger?!" Long Juedi question.

Haerin was already in tears as the subject of her uncles' conversation were her parents.

"Uncles, are my parents… They… They… Are they alright?" Haerin asked.

Seeing Haerin cry made Lord Huzi nervous. This is the only princess of their family, even his two sons like her the most and even spoiled her by giving everything nice to her. Seeing the reddening eyes of Long Juedi, one can see that he is also trying his best to hold back his tears. After all, in the ancient forest there is also his uncle and cousin who are the last of his family members. If he also lost them then he would be an orphan that didn't even have any relatives left.

Beast God Mo Minkong pats long Juedi's shoulder as he walks towards him and says, "Calm down and take a seat. It's not as bad as you thought."

All six of them took a seat in the living area of the office. After serving some calming tea to Long Juedi and Haerin, Mo Minkong and Huzi explained the situation to the couple.

Long Juedi on the other hand had accepted this too easily which the beast god, Lord Mo Minkong had noticed.

"Xiao Jue doesn't seem surprised. Did you know already?" Beast God Mo Minkong asked.

Long Juedi responded, "No Uncle Mo. I only have a few guesses from before. Actually, that summoned beast we killed before, we only learned it looked similar to the summoned beast of the Lord Marshal after we saw its corpse closely. At first we thought it was just a monster but the similarity is there even though it looked distorted by something."

"There is also the fact that it was this monster who killed Gu Yang. Before the monster came attacking us, we had witnessed that monster eating Gu Yang alive. I was thinking why would his own father's summoned beast kill Gu Yang. Now that you told me he had been replaced then, that is most likely right."

The gods will protect the souls of the original owner and they will be able to use the vessel that was lent to them.

It was already known that the soul of Gu Ying was still alive when the two commanders had arrived at the borders and he was most likely only replaced after he had returned to the city. Which means that Gu Ying's original soul still exists by then. The moment the possessor had made a move on the important people of the original owner of the vessel it meant that the contract between them was broken. Gu Yang's death was the beginning and the reason why the Marshal had sent a full attack on the ancient forest.

Zhi Yang frowned, "No wonder, the situation in the city worsened. That monster's vessel is dying as he broke his contract with the original Gu Ying after he had killed Gu Ying's son."

"Doesn't that mean that bad man is dying?" Zhi Yue asked.

Zhi Yang's expression turned serious and said, "Yes, but this is not a good thing. I need to inform the wardens about this, Yue'er stay here. I will be back soon." He immediately disappeared as he said these words.

Beast God Mo Minkong said, "It's alright. We can take it."

As soon as he said this, the face of Lord Huzi and Haerin turned pale seeing this Beast God Mo Minkong and Long Juedi had no other choice but to support them.

Mo Minkong said, "You should bring her back to rest and tell her not to do anything foolish. I will leave her in your care, Xiao Jue."

"Yes, Uncle Mo," said Long Juedi.

Recalling something, the Beast God remembers that they didn't summon this couple and for them to come over meant, they come into his office for a reason.
