Chapter 2162: 25.52 Lone Black Star - Confrontation

After the World Eater had woken up, he finally remembered what happened to them. Those two little bastards who seemed to be soul fragments of their son and his little disciple had betrayed him and Hunluan. This is something they would have never suspected in their whole life. Not only because these two are soul fragments of their family members but also because they didn’t believe there is someone on this world that is capable of defeating them except for the real God of Destruction and the Sovereign God of Void and Darkness.

However, the World Eater, Lord An Shizhe, definitely doesn’t recognize that woman who had overpowered them and captured them like this. The process must have been through force that the automatic defense system that the God of Destruction had placed on them had instantly activated like this and erected a barrier around him and the Ancient God of Chaos, Lord Hunluan.

"That purplish black aura... was that the cosmos energy Jing’er had mentioned before? But that is not possible... How can we be so powerless against that power?"

"No! That power is not simple. Even Luan’er was unable to block it and fainted after being hit once like me. Just who the hell is that woman," said the World Eater, Lord An Shizhe while trying to remove the dizziness he is currently suffering from.

He looked around and noticed no one else except for his beloved who was still unconscious. Lord An Shizhe tried to wake up the Ancient God of Chaos, Lord Hunluan but for some unknown reason, he seems to have entered a deep sleep that even he in reality cannot call upon him. Worriedly, the World Eater had checked the state of his beloved and realized that his wife seemed to have fallen into a state of deep slumber and his soul had been pulled somewhere else by something. However, this soul was safe and didn’t completely cut off his connection to its main body.

The World Eater was relieved when he realized that his beloved was safe yet at the same time hopeless as he realized that he will not be able to wake his other half and can only wait for him to wake up on his own. The barrier around them only exists to protect them but it didn’t prevent the World Eater from coming out of it. However, when he reached out his hand from the barrier that protects them, another barrier seems to have prevented him from leaving the altar they are in and caused a loud alarm that made the World Eater immediately pull back his hand as he accidentally triggered the alarm from that second barrier.

Clearly, this second barrier was not something their son, the God of Destruction had made for them but instead was made by the person who had caught him and his wife. Knowing that he won’t be able to leave this tiny space and that the bastard who captured them was about to arrive, the World Eater waited. He wanted to see who was this existence that was powerful enough to capture both him and his beloved, the Ancient God of Chaos, Hunluan.

The World Eater didn’t have to wait that long as the woman in his blurry memory had once again appeared before him. This time Lord An Shizhe can completely see the face of this person who had captured them. Unfortunately, this woman’s face, half of it was hidden behind a veil. But one thing for sure, the first time that the World Eater had noticed about this woman is one thing.

This is the thoughts of the World Eater when he saw the one who had captured him. On the other hand, the woman seems delighted to see that one of the people she had personally captured is now awake. The rejection of the barrier towards this veiled woman is unexpectedly strong that the hand she had used to touch the barrier around Hunluan and An Shizhe had exploded into a bloody mist. Even the World Eater didn’t expect that the barrier his son had made to be this powerful. If the woman had forcibly broken the barrier around them, what would have blown off would most likely not have ended with just an arm being turned to a blood mist.

The World Eater, Lord An Shizhe, watches as the woman holds her shoulder which is missing an arm now walking towards him without much expression on her face.

Lord An Shizhe asked, "Who the hell are you? Why did you capture us?"

"You can only blame that man for that!" The woman responded with pure hatred within her eyes.

Her eyes were so full of rage and hatred as he mentioned that man whom the World Eater couldn’t even recognize with just her mentioning the word man and not even a name.

The World Eater asked, "What do you want from us?"

"The sea of chaos. Give me the key to it and I will let go of you both!" The woman answered.

Her face turned cold and serious. Clearly, she still couldn’t hold back her hatred yet at the same time he couldn’t actually do anything against the two men inside the barrier. She had already tried all means to destroy this barrier around them yet she couldn’t even leave a scratch on it. It seems that even though she is stronger than the Ancient Gods, she still cannot be compared with the powers of the God of Destruction.

The World Eater’s face turned serious when he had heard her demand then after a while he sneered.

He said, "I don’t think I know what you are asking for."

Lord An Shizhe pretended not to know anything about the Sea of Chaos. After all, that is the place his beloved was born from like all other ancient gods. But unlike the other ancient gods, only Lord Hunluan, the Ancient God of Chaos and their son, the God of Destruction held the key to enter that special realm. Even he is incapable of going to such a place on his own and he didn’t have a key on him.

"Liar! You know where that place is! You know how to go to that place! Tell me right now how to go there! Or I..."

The woman’s voice suddenly paused as she punched the space beside her and grabbed two people from within and threw them before the World Eater. The pair that was thrown to the World Eater’s face were two family faces. They are the Ancient God of Origin, Qiyuan and the Ancient God of End, Jiewei. But at this moment, they didn’t have that proud and arrogant look An Shizhe remembers of them. They were covered in black wounds and golden blood of their own. Seeing how badly they look, clearly they had suffered torture to some extent.

If it was someone else maybe they would frown from cruelty. Unfortunately, for the World Eater, there isn’t a scene more satisfying than this one. He had always hated these pairs. They are the reason for their family of three to be destroyed in the past. They are also the source of pain their family had suffered from. Moreover, they had not only hated him, the World Eater, so badly that they even schemed his death.

Just seeing them actually makes Lord An Shizhe sick. These two were the source of pain of his beloved. The two old things that had traumatized their young son when he was just a baby. Also the cause that destroyed their family. In his, the World Eater’s eyes, these two actually deserved being beaten to this point.

The woman in veil was actually observing the reaction of the World Eater when she had pulled them over from the next door prison and threw their torture state before these two whom she was so powerless to touch due to that stranger barrier. But she had also known that the man inside the barrier can definitely leave that stranger barrier, if not for that fact, the trigger she had placed around the formation she made around their barrier wouldn’t have rang.

"If you don’t want me to kill these two ancient gods, tell me where the Sea of Chaos is and the key to enter that place!" She shouted.

Sadly for her, the World Eater truly does not care about the couple she had tortured herself. Lord An Shizhe no longer has any ounce of kindness towards these two ancient gods who had destroyed his family in the past.

The World Eater said with a cold yet anticipating smile, "You cannot threaten me with the lives of the two trashes in your hand. Actually, why don’t you just actually kill them. That would make me happier that way~."
