Chapter 567: Chapter 454: Ice Coffin, Mysterious Person (Part 2)
At the moment of clearly seeing the scene inside the coffin, Qin Tian was stunned.
Lying inside the ice coffin was not some monster or treasure he imagined, but a human!
The person had their eyes tightly shut, with ice-blue long hair spread across the ice crystal pillow, tiny ice crystals congealed among the strands, emitting a faint glow.
Their appearance was impeccably delicate, eyebrows like distant mountains, lips like ice crystals, skin so fair it was almost transparent, not a pore in sight, with a pale blue dot at the center of the brow, like a naturally formed mark.
If not for the overly flat chest, just by looking at the face, Qin Tian would have definitely thought this was a woman.
Seeing this appearance, the tension in Qin Tian’s heart slightly eased.
People always subconsciously carry a bit of favor for those with outstanding looks; although this person before him was mysterious, there wasn’t the slightest hint of ferocity, instead, they exuded a sense of pure fragility, loosening his wariness slightly.
But he still did not relax his guard, quietly watching the person inside the ice coffin.
Before long, the person inside the ice coffin slowly opened their eyes.
Those were a pair of azure blue pupils, like the purest blue sapphires, yet carried a touch of bewilderment and emptiness, as if having slept for hundreds of years, not yet cleared from the long darkness.
He looked toward the top of the palace, then slowly sat up, his gaze falling on Qin Tian, lips slightly parted, speaking in a completely unfamiliar language.
The syllables of that language were crisp, like the clashing of ice blocks, yet carried a hint of etherealness; from the sound judging, it was most likely male.
Qin Tian could not understand his words, so he tried to communicate with Soul Power, silently chanting in his mind, "Who are you?"
Upon hearing the voice from the soul, the bewilderment in the man’s eyes intensified.
He looked around the unfamiliar palace, then looked down at the ice coffin by his side, murmuring to himself, "Who am I?"
The man leaned on the edge of the coffin, his gaze slowly scanning the inside of the palace— from the blue crystals on the dome to the ice crystal textures on the floor, each scene deepened the bewilderment in his eyes.
When his sight fell on the ice murals on the wall, his body suddenly froze.
The next second, he clutched his head with both hands, his beautiful face scrunched in pain.
Qin Tian could clearly see his lips trembling silently, as if countless fragmented images were crashing in his mind, bringing sharp pain.
"It seems he truly has amnesia."
Qin Tian’s eyes flickered; from the man’s reaction to the murals, those painted battlegrounds were likely related to his past, but long sleep had completely shattered his memory, even his basic sense of identity was gone.
About half a minute later, the man slowly loosened his hands, his face pale, with a hint of fatigue in his eyes.
He lifted his head, his gaze falling on Qin Tian again, softly asking, "Who am I?"
Qin Tian shook his head, truthfully answering, "I don’t know."
Hearing this, the light in the man’s eyes dimmed instantly, a visible urgency appeared on his face— not knowing who he was, this feeling of bewilderment and helplessness was enough to crush anyone.
Seeing this, Qin Tian added, "But I can help you recover your memory, help you remember your identity."
"How can you help me?" The man immediately asked, hope rekindled in his eyes, his azure pupils staring intently at Qin Tian, afraid of missing a single word.
Qin Tian stepped forward two paces, maintaining a safe distance, earnestly saying, "In my hometown, there’s a saying ’seeing objects brings back memories of people.’ The reason you can’t remember your past might be because of prolonged sleep, causing you to forget many things. In the future, I can take you to many places, maybe a certain place or certain thing can trigger your memory, remind you of who you are."
While saying this, Qin Tian also harbored some thoughts.
Judging from the man’s ability to sleep in the ice coffin for many years, and the intensity of the Secret Realm and palace’s defenses, his background is definitely not simple.
Though it’s temporarily difficult to determine whether the man is good or evil, considering that he is from the Human Race, did not attack the unfamiliar self proactively, and his painful reaction to the murals, he likely aligns with the kind side.
If he could keep such a mysteriously identified, power-unknown person beside him, he might unexpectedly aid in the future.
Of course, Qin Tian did not relax his vigilance, once he brought the man beside him, should anything suspicious occur, he would notice immediately.
The man was silent for a moment, seemingly pondering Qin Tian’s words.
He looked at the empty palace, then at Qin Tian, finally nodding gently, "Alright, I’ll go with you."
His voice still carried a bit of etherealness, yet held a trace of yearning; in this unfamiliar place, the stranger before him was his only tangible "clue," his only hope of recovering his memory.
Upon hearing this, Qin Tian’s mouth unconsciously lifted slightly; he originally thought he’d have to spend more effort convincing, didn’t expect this mysterious character to agree so straightforwardly, the process went smoother than anticipated.
He walked forward two steps, his tone softened a bit, "Do you remember your name?"
The man lowered his eyes slightly, his long lashes casting a faint shadow below, gently shaking his head, "I can’t remember anything."
"Then, how about this," Qin Tian suggested, his tone carrying a bit of probing, "why don’t you try thinking of a name yourself? If you can’t think of one, I can give you a temporary one until you remember your real name, how about that?"
The man almost immediately agreed, nodding, "Alright."
