Following closely behind was a terrifying Bone Demon.

It was entirely made of bones as black as ink, with no flesh binding the joints. Two clusters of ghostly green soul flames danced within the hollow chest cavity, exuding a cold greed.

Seeing Taishi Feng’s footsteps slightly slow down, the Bone Demon’s throat emitted a "crackling" sound of bones scraping together. Its right arm suddenly elongated like a rubber band, its finger bones instantly fused and hardened, transforming into a bone saber about one foot long, the blade gleaming with a poisonous darkness, slicing towards Taishi Feng’s back of the head.

Taishi Feng staggered back two steps, slamming his spine against the ice wall, gasping heavily.

The hand gripping the halberd trembled uncontrollably, his spiritual energy nearly exhausted, the blood hole at his severed arm still gushing blood, his vision starting to blur.

"Fortunately... it’s resolved..." he muttered to himself, his tense nerves just about to relax, yet as his gaze fell ahead, his body stiffened abruptly.

On the ice surface, the two halves of the bone structure began to tremble autonomously, the broken bone ends magnetically attracted to each other, fragments automatically filling the gaps, in mere moments reassembling into a complete Bone Demon.

The nearly extinguished soul flames suddenly erupted, more violent than before, it rotated its jawbones, "grinning" at Taishi Feng, though faceless, it exuded a chillingly mocking greed.

Taishi Feng’s heart sank into an icy abyss, a trace of bitterness emerging on his face.
