Within such a sprawling place, the chances of randomly running into Kaito, whose main base of activity lay in the foreign nation of the Symphonia Kingdom, on an ordinary street, with no prior arrangement and not even in a high-end shopping district, would normally be so low as to not even merit consideration.

……And yet, it was precisely such improbabilities that seemed to bend themselves around the singularity that is Miyama Kaito.

[Hello, what a coincidence. Your attire is different from usual, Eris-san…… though come to think of it, when I first came to set up a stall at the Founding Festival, you were dressed somewhat similarly.]

[Y- Yes, well…… learning about the lives of common people is also an important form of study, and it serves as a good change of pace for me as well, so I come here like this from time to time. It was the same when I stopped by your stall, Kaito-sama. Are you out shopping for something?]

Though the encounter was nothing short of astonishingly improbable, Eris had witnessed Kaito’s tendency to defy common sense on numerous occasions. If the other party was Kaito, then even such a chance meeting felt oddly plausible.

Still, Kaito’s purpose remained unclear, and she decided to ask him about it.

(……I do have information that Kaito-sama visits Alexandria from time to time, but his destinations are usually pet-related shops…… and there aren’t any such stores around here. As far as I know, none of his acquaintances live in this area either……)

The place Kaito was heading to was a gym created by Nidzveld, an idea that originally stemmed from a casual conversation with Kaito.

As a kind of trial run, Nidzveld decided to open one gym each in the Demon Realm and the Human Realm. In the Demon Realm, she chose Battle City, where many subordinates of the War King favored such activities. In the Human Realm, given the Dragon King faction’s strong ties to the Archlesia Empire, she decided to establish it there.

And so, she asked Kaito, who had firsthand experience with other world gyms, to try it out and provide feedback on whether everything was functioning properly. Having agreed, Kaito was now on his way to the soon-to-open gym.

[Yes, so the gym in the Human Realm was made for Humans, and she’d prefer to have both a man and a woman try it out if possible. I originally thought of inviting Aoi-chan or Hina-chan, but their schedules didn’t line up because of their adventurer training, so I was on my way there alone……]

[If it’s acceptable for me, then you’d like me, as a human woman, to try it out myself. I have no objections. I’m quite interested in this gym facility, and I’m not particularly bad at exercise either.]

Eris readily accepted Kaito’s proposal. She had gone out in the first place to take a break, and she figured that moving her body and getting some exercise would be a refreshing change of pace as well.

[Do you usually exercise a lot, Eris-san?]

[Even as a noble, a certain level of physical fitness is necessary. There are things like dancing, and I also practice basic self-defense. Of course, it’s nothing refined enough for actual combat, but it’s sufficient to protect myself in situations where my guards cannot immediately intervene.]

[……Just out of curiosity, does that mean you’ve ever actually been targeted or attacked?]
