Chapter 2572 - Demon Realm Amusement Park ③

Since today’s amusement park is in its pre-opening phase, admission is limited to invited guests only, there’s no need to worry about crowds. Alice had thoughtfully given us pamphlets before entry, so we decided to take a look through them together first.

The pamphlet was the fold-out kind. Once unfolded, it displayed a full map of the park along with the names of the major facilities, while the back listed the locations of restaurants, rest areas, and other non-attraction facilities.

[……I expected as much, but this place is enormous.]

[This really feels like a theme park, doesn’t it? The areas are divided up, and each one seems to have its own concept……]

For now, everyone had their own copy of the pamphlet, but there was no point in all of us spreading them out individually, so the group that had been chatting earlier gathered together to look at a single one.

Aoi-chan and Hina-chan leaned in over the pamphlet I had opened, each voicing their impressions. Just as Hina-chan said, it definitely gave off a strong theme park atmosphere.

[There are seven color-coded areas…… The castle in the center must be the Baby Castella Castle Alice mentioned, right? Though on the pamphlet it just looks like an ordinary castle……]

[It feels like the six surrounding areas are encircling the castle area in the middle.]

On the map, there was indeed an illustration of a castle at the center, with six other areas forming a ring around it.

Looking closer, each area had a name……. The central area was called the “Otherworld Area”, while the others were…… the Flame Area, featuring attractions themed around fire and volcanoes; the Ice Area, with a fantastical atmosphere of snow and ice; the Forest Area, themed around nature and woodlands; the Dark Area, with gloomy colors and what looked like haunted house attractions; the Aqua Area, seemingly packed with water-related rides; and the Magic Area, which carried a magical fantasy vibe. Seven areas in total.

[……Could it be that, aside from the Otherworld Area, the other six are themed after the Six Kings?]

[The fire and ice ones definitely fit, and the forest one too, but…… what about the other three?]

It was just a hunch, but it felt like each area had been designed with one of the Six Kings in mind. Fire matched Megiddo-san, ice was clearly Isis-san, and the forest was obviously Lillywood-san. Up to that point, it was easy enough to figure out, but just as Hina-chan tilted her head in confusion, the remaining three were harder to connect with any clear image.

[I think the Dark Area is probably Alice. The Phantasmal King camp and their Executives all have this dark sort of image. Then the Aqua Area might be Magnawell-san’s. Magnawell-san himself gives more of a rocky mountain impression, but apparently the seas of the Demon Realm fall under his jurisdiction. And the magical fantasy-themed area is probably Kuro, since she’s the creator of magic tools…… Though honestly, maybe none of it’s related at all.]

[But now that you mention it, Kaito-san’s explanation really does make sense. In that case, I wonder if the central area is themed after another world, just like its name suggests?]

[Hmm…… Maybe the amusement park I visited before is actually inside that central area? Like, they placed an amusement park from the other world inside the Otherworld Area, and then made the other six sections original attractions based on the Six Kings of this world.]

[I see! Well, no matter what, it looks like it’s going to be fun!!!]

Since they’d gone out of their way to name it the Otherworld Area, there had to be something related to the other world there. The explanation that made the most sense was the one I’d just mentioned, that the amusement park I once visited with Shiro-san, Kuro, and Alice had been placed in the central area, with the other sections added around it afterward.

That would also explain the absurd size of the place. It was basically the original amusement park plus six more parks built around it. Of course it would end up gigantic.

……Though if that wasn’t the case, then hearing “Otherworld Area” immediately brought to mind the First Hero and related things…… And depending on how it was handled, that could easily result in yet another location dedicated to embarrassing Neun-san. Kuro would definitely never allow that.

Though I still had no idea why they’d decided to add some bizarre facility called Baby Castella Castle to the Otherworld Area……

[Hmmm.]

[What’s wrong, Aoi-senpai?]

[……No, it’s just…… the shape of this Otherworld Area…… doesn’t it kind of resemble Kaito-san’s necklace?]

[Really? Now that you mention it, I can sort of see it…… or maybe not…… Aren’t you overthinking it?]

[Maybe so.]

It resembles my necklace? Now that she mentioned it, I couldn’t deny it looked somewhat similar…… But no, that couldn’t be it…… right? There’s no way, right? I mean, I wasn’t involved in building this amusement park at all. Surely they didn’t create an entire area based on me or something that ridiculous, right?

[……Alice, the motif for this central area is the other world, right?]

[Why are you smiling silently? What I’m thinking right now is just me imagining things, right?]

Without saying a single word, Alice simply gave me a smile so refreshing it was almost dazzling before she vanished from sight.
