Chapter 2589 - Demon Realm Amusement Park ⑳

This pre-opening event at the Demon Realm amusement park had invited an enormous number of guests, fitting for a park of such immense scale. It would be no exaggeration to say that anyone with a reasonably close connection to Kuromueina or Alice had received an invitation.

Not only Demons, but Humans and even a small number of Gods were attending the event, and looking across the park as a whole, there were quite a few world-famous figures among the guests.

That said, the amusement park was so vast and packed with attractions that the chances of randomly running into any specific person were quite low.

And yet, in one corner of that very park, two individuals wore troubled expressions. One was Eris, invited through her personal connection with Kuromueina…… or rather, as thanks for attending her tea party. The other was Cornelia, invited through her ties to the Seditch Magic Tool Company…… Both were noble daughters belonging to the Hamilton Marquisdom faction.

[……Eris-sama, Kaito-sama was definitely invited, wasn’t he?]

[Considering this facility was jointly developed by Kuromueina-sama and the Phantasmal King…… Alice-sama, there’s no way Kaito-sama wasn’t invited…… He’s definitely here.]

[Indeed. Especially since this park is structured with multiple attractions spread throughout the grounds. Even if we were to meet by chance, it would only happen during limited moments, such as while moving between locations. Realistically speaking, the odds are close to zero.]

Cornelia spoke with a grave expression, and Eris nodded with equal solemnity. Incidentally, Marie of Ritch Barony, had also received an invitation. However, she had declined due to being overwhelmingly busy with ripples and the development of her territory.

To be completely honest, both Eris and Cornelia would have preferred to decline as well…… for the sake of their stomachs. Exactly, Kaito himself was not the issue. Both Eris and Cornelia held a favorable impression of the kind-hearted young man and genuinely considered him a friend.

The problem was that he had a habit of simultaneously bringing along individuals who possessed terrifying levels of authority on a global scale. If not for that, even if they happened to meet him in the amusement park, they would simply exchange greetings, chat pleasantly for a moment, and part ways peacefully.

Though neither of them knew it, Akane had already run into Kaito earlier and parted ways after nothing more than a brief exchange of greetings. It was exactly the sort of ideal situation Eris and Cornelia were hoping for.

Seeing even the slightest glimmer of hope, Cornelia’s expression brightened a little. As if trying to reassure herself as much as Eris, she spoke up.

[To begin with, there must be a great many people here who know Kaito-sama. If he stopped to greet every acquaintance he met, he wouldn’t have any time left to enjoy the park himself. Looking at it that way, isn’t it entirely possible that we won’t run into him at all?]

As Cornelia had said, Kaito’s ability to form connections with people was extraordinary, so he would almost certainly run into acquaintances somewhere in the amusement park. However, there was no guarantee that those acquaintances would be them.

Looking at it from that perspective, a path to salvation suddenly seemed possible after all, and some warmth returned to the expressions of both Eris and Cornelia.
