The enormous amusement park in the Demon Realm, created by Kuromueina and Alice, within its Forest Area, there stood one of the Six Kings for whom a forest was perhaps the most fitting place imaginable…… Lillywood Yggdrasil.

Naturally, she had come after receiving an invitation from Kuromueina and Alice to experience the amusement park. And she was not alone, accompanying her were all seven of the Seven Princesses, the World King’s Executives.

There were countless massive structures on a scale rarely seen anywhere in Trinia, and Camellia couldn’t help murmuring in admiration as she took in the breathtaking sight.

Smiling in agreement, Jutia also looked around with keen interest, her gaze wandering over the various attractions and shops.

Walking a short distance behind the cheerfully chatting Seven Princesses, Lillywood wore a gentle smile as she strolled along. It was then that Lillie, her Head Subordinate, addressed her.

[……Still, it’s rather unusual for you to visit a place like this, Lady Lillywood.]

Lillywood was, by nature, someone who almost never indulged in entertainment. In a sense, she was remarkably disciplined. While she acknowledged the value of entertainment and luxuries, she regarded them as things she personally had no need for. To an outside observer, her lifestyle could only be described as modest and simple.

She drank nothing but water, never taking pleasure in food as a preference. She acquired whatever knowledge she needed, but never read books or watched plays simply for entertainment.

It wasn’t that she was forcing herself to practice self-control, nor that she possessed the mindset of an ascetic seeking enlightenment. She simply didn’t consider such things necessary for herself. To Lillywood, that was only natural.

Even when she was invited to festivals and public celebrations as an honored guest, she would merely inspect the event rather than enjoy it herself. The same should have applied to amusement parks like this one. She might attend a ceremony if invited, but she ordinarily would never ride the attractions or experience them firsthand…… Or at least, that should have been the case.

This time, however, things were different. When Kuromueina invited her, Lillywood accepted without a moment’s hesitation and came here of her own accord. Though she had only experienced a handful of attractions so far, she had actually participated in them herself.

Even to Lillie, who had known Lillywood for a very long time, it was an extraordinarily rare sight.

“Indeed. Had it been the old me, I would have simply decided it was unnecessary for myself and, out of courtesy to Kuromueina and the others, encouraged all of you to attend in my place, or perhaps written a letter of congratulations and considered the matter settled. But…… I suppose you could say my state of mind has changed recently. I’ve had more and more opportunities to realize just how narrow my perspective truly was. That may be what caused this change.”

“Even if someone had told the me of just 10 years ago what the world is like today, I doubt I would have believed it. So many things I once thought would never change have changed beyond recognition, and the world itself has undergone tremendous transformation. Kuromueina, Isis, Megiddo, Magnawell, Shalltear…… every one of them has, to varying extent, changed because of Kaito-san’s influence. And I myself……”

“Perhaps…… I envy Isis and the others. Perhaps I wish more of myself would change. Or perhaps, I’m simply enjoying the process of changing. I’ve begun to think, quite naturally, that it might be worthwhile to experience the things I once dismissed as unnecessary…… and I owe even that change in perspective to Kaito-san.”

Watching Lillywood speak as though she genuinely enjoyed broadening her horizons by experiencing the very things she had once dismissed, things she had rejected simply because of her own limited perspective, Lillie smiled softly and gave a quiet nod.

“That said, I’m hardly the only one influenced by Kaito-san.”

[Kaitokun-san? Are we talking about Kaitokun-san?]
