I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess

Chapter 530: Outbreak? [2]

Chapter 530: Outbreak? [2]

Lillian glanced at the injured mages and waved her hand, spreading her Parasitic element across her water harpoons that soon produced a swarm of Parasitic Lines that latched onto the bodies of each mage.

Finding their injuries healing and their pain subsiding, they gratefully thanked their saviour before scrambling to their feet upon being told to leave by Lillian.

Crack. Crack.

Lillian cracked her neck and moaned a bit at the satisfying noise made and the relief in her neck.

Looking past the corpses of monsters around her, she settled her gaze on a swirling portal in the distance that continued to spew out more monsters.

However, the moment they even leave the Gate, they would be afflicted with a heavy gravity-like force.

Having been in a rush to clear out the monsters, Lillian didn’t have much time to study her Trait, so she might as well study it now.

Holding a hand out, Lillian summoned an orb of water, which quickly grew in size. And in relation to its growth, the weight placed on the monster’s body further increased.

From 1 to 2 metres in diameter, the monsters were already on their knees; any more than that and they would be on all fours or completely pressed into the ground.

Satisfying her curiosity about this aspect of her Trait, Lillian withdrew the orb of water, allowing the monsters to stand.

They leaned back, their throats and chests bulging, before bending forward and unleashing a torrent of high-pressure water at her.

Lillian stood in place, with her hands nonchalantly tucked into her pockets, watching as the water jets narrowed on her position.

But then—

"A metre, hm?"

—The incoming projectiles stopped just a metre before her face.

No matter how much water regurgitated out of their mouths, the monsters’ water attacks wouldn’t reach her—and it was safe to say that it wouldn’t ever reach her.

That’s not all.

Due to the volume of water currently around her, another aspect of her Trait strengthened, causing the monsters to be forced against the ground.

After pushing the water out of her way, Lillian gazed upon the struggling Gloomgills with a look of disbelief. She felt her Trait was a bit too versatile against water users!

’Yeah... That Trial was definitely worth it...’

With a wave of her hand, Lillian summoned another hailstorm of water harpoons.

[You have slain a Dire Wretch, Gloomgill]

[You have slain a Dire Wretch, Gloomgill]

[You have slain...]

Thump.

Lillian brushed her hands together, having dropped off another corpse at an organised corpse hill she had put together.

By now, the authorities and members of the Mage Guild must’ve arrived and were not tending to the civilians that had escaped the Steel Garden of Kirisaya.

It won’t be long until they reach where she was.

Turning her back to her corpse hill and towards the Gate, Lillian found the portal had stopped spewing out Gloomgills.

Instead, something of much greater size and mass exited the Gate.

An enormous dark blue maggot with long and scrawny arms crawled out from the Gate; it was 8 metres tall, 5 metres wide, and its clawed arms each had a wingspan of around 10 metres.

Its segmented body was coated in a thick layer of mucus, crawling against the ground and leaving a trail as uneven bone spikes that grew from its body screeched and scraped against the ground.

And just like Gloomgills, it too had a head like that of a blob fish and a gaping maw that was lazily kept open.

Lillian’s face twitched from the smell, even turning away due to how pungent and foul it smelled.

And seeing this, the giant maggot’s entire body expanded before shrinking like a pump as a tidal flood of water escaped its mouth.

Fortunately, Lillian’s Trait managed to shield her from the attack.

Having flooded the nearby area with water that reached two metres high, its slimy mucus began to mix with the water, causing the flood to turn toxic.

Unfortunately, such a method of attack was useless against the Heiress of the Drowned King.

Bursting out from the flooded area, Lillian leapt into the air and raised her right hand to the centre of her left palm; the Acus Mark.

Lillian pinched the glowing harpoon mark on her left palm and mumbled:

"Acus Maris..."

In that same instance, an imposing and mystical harpoon stretched out from her left palm—grasped in her right.

The monster quickly looked up to the sky, its throat bulging for an attack, but was suddenly met with an overpowering force that crushed its body against the ground; its bones cracking under the extreme weight.

With its movement completely restricted, what happened next could only be described as pure domination.

***

[You have slain a Dire Maw, Gloomgillian]

[You have gained a Shard]

"Tch... This is a useless shard."

Sitting on top of the Gloomgillian—who was now devoid of its toxic mucus, its limbs, and had countless puncture holes—Lillian rested Acus Maris against her shoulder, having cleaned it.

Despite the Gloomgillian being the boss of the Gate, its Shard was... Something she didn’t want...

Just like Viesta’s wings, the Shard she gained from the Gloomgillian was a Feature Shard.

But unlike sprouting a pair of arms, which she would’ve been fine with, it caused her to grow another organ inside her body that would allow her to not only cause toxic mucus to exit the pores in her skin, but also throw up a high-pressure beam of water.

Lillian’s face wrinkled as she read its description.

There was no way she was going to use this!

She sighed.

’I’ll just sell it later...’

Moving that thought to the back of her mind, Lillian stared at the Gate that soon folded in on itself, disappearing out of existence. This was the last of them.

’Well, at least that’s over...’

She then turned her gaze down at the squad of mages dressed in uniform standing beneath her.

’But I have these guys to deal with now...’

These were the mages partnered up with the authorities, otherwise known as the members of the Mage Guild.

The Mage Guild was an organisation made purely of mages that worked to combat Outbreaks, monsters, and even out-of-control mages as a whole. Anything that could be considered dangerous was usually handled by either them or the authorities of the area.

After the authorities arrived and made sure the surroundings were devoid of monsters, they began to interrogate Lillian a little.

"Lillian Ker Arius, a Tier 3 Mage, and a... Restarian?" The interrogating mage repeated, having asked Lillian for her name and nationality.

"We’ve heard someone about white hair and an elderly man on her back going around saving people. With what I’m seeing... I assume that you’re the person?"

Lillian nodded stoically, throwing a glance back at Takuro, who still clung to her back. He was so still and silent the entire time that Lillian had completely forgotten he was on her back.

"Yep, do you need any proof of my identity? I’m also a student."

"No, no. It’s fine, thanks to you; everyone is safe with the only loss being a few broken swords. It’s rare to find a stray Tier 3 mage. I was kind of expecting the MVP of this outbreak to be Lutonese, though."

Lillian shrugged.

After she was asked if she wanted the corpse of the Gloomgillian, Lillian sold it to them. She couldn’t really store it inside her ring...

[45,000 Semis have been transferred into your account]

Although it was a little less than she wanted, it was mainly her fault, for the price depended on the quality of the corpse. With all the holes and injuries, the quality wasn’t particularly good...

As for the Shard she received, she’ll put it up for auction. Maybe it might be valued highly because it was a Feature variant.

"Are you registered with the Mage Guild yet?" The mage asked, discovering that Lillian’s name wasn’t in any registry he could find.

Lillian shook her head, "I’m not, I haven’t really found the time or need to."

"You definitely should in the future! The benefits you get would be high, especially with your strength and registered reputation. You might even get yourself a publicly-declared title!"

Hearing this, Lillian nodded a bit, her mind going back to a certain pirate.

’Nearlo is registered with the Mage Guild, isn’t he? Ah... That’s where he got the title Pirate of the Rickety Ship from...’

Maybe getting a unique title would be cool.

After a little while, Lillian managed to escape from any more interrogating questions and walked back to where she had been previously—in front of the statue of Akihiro.

The elder on her back soon got down from her back and dusted himself off with a chuckle.

"Wowzers! Young lady, you sure do move fast. I was scared I would fall off at some point! I take it that the situations has now become quieter?"

"If you mean no monsters, then yep. Although, getting out of the garden will be hard due to all the reporters likely there."

"Hahaha! Well, that is true. But I’m impressed, even with my poor eyes, I was sure that you didn’t let even a single person be killed in your presence. Even the statues were more or less in the state they were before the outbreak happened!"

The elder tucked his hand into his pocket, rummaging inside it before pulling out a gold coin.

With an unusual and mysterious smile, the old man flipped the coin towards her, "Your actions and abilities today have my respect."

Dink!

Lillian, feeling her focus forcefully drawn towards the coin, caught it.

She stared down at the golden coin, finding its edges to be of a darker metal; each of the coin’s faces was etched with the number ’5’.

"May we see each other in the near future..."

Looking up, Lillian found the old man to have disappeared; she let out an exasperated sigh.

’Finally, done with this side quest...’

Staring at the coin one more time, Lillian pocketed it. Without a doubt, the coin was going to help a lot, maybe even save her or someone’s life.
