I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess

Chapter 544: Danger?

Chapter 544: Danger?

"IT’S AN OUTBREAK! EVERYONE RUN—!" A man screamed in Ancient Keri before being impaled on a stone spear, killed instantly.

Chaos reigned amok as everyone fled for safety as a ridiculous number of stone soldiers exited the theatre like it was their factory.

Some fled for the exit, only to be blocked off by the stone soldiers who had managed to discern their intentions.

Some decided to hide, but were soon found with the help of the Gravelborn’s glowing red eyes.

Some tried to call for help with their mobile devices, but found something was preventing them; it was like something was interfering with their connection.

The mages, Tier 1 and Tier 2 alike, fought to the very best of their abilities.

But due to the seemingly limitless regeneration of the Gravelborns and the mage’s low capacity and regeneration for mana, they soon fell brutally, sliced and skewered by swords and spears alike.

The number of casualties was quickly rising.

Lillian, who was to face several Gravelborns, tore them apart with her magic and swords, while the Gardener used only his hands, finding that the use of anything else would be deemed unnecessary.

The Gardener was in no rush to assist anyone; in fact, he wasn’t obligated to assist anyone. This nation’s people weren’t his own; they weren’t people of the Roselle’s territory either.

So what if they died? Their deaths would barely affect him in the slightest.

The only one he might need to look out for would be Lillian. If she were to perish today, and the Heiress were to somehow find out about this, then he would be on the end of never-ending hate.

It would be counterproductive if he were to lose a family member’s support for whatever large project he may have in the future.

Shooting Lillian a brief glance, the Gardener scrutinised her abilities in battle, ’Protection may be unneeded... She seems rather capable of surviving through this ordeal.’

Not only were her movements refined and filled partially with experience from life-or-death situations, but he was certain she had more up her sleeves than what she was displaying currently.

His interest in her tingled a little bit more.

Maybe she was a bit special.

Upon breaking through the wall of stone soldiers before her, Lillian dashed forward and leapt out of the window, landing in the middle of a fray between both mages and Gravelborns.

The mages were a mix of the security and customers.

Kuro and the two other Scions were here as well.

The Sword Genius, having finished carving through a group of Gravelborns with a plain steel sword, glanced towards Lillian, who had landed right beside him.

"Ah, so you’re fine, I see. Finally decided to join the battle?" Kuro huffed, clearly in a joking way.

Lillian smiled wryly, swinging her sword, "These things are persistent, alright?"

"I definitely agree with you there!" Mizuki cut in, sending a storm of swords that sliced through both chairs and soldiers alike. "These things just keeps on coming!"

With the combined effort of everyone there, besides the Gardener, who seemed to remain idle in the chaos, they were able to rebel against the waves of stone soldiers.

Lillian, having finally healed the last injured mage from the battle, looked up at the gate that had momentarily ceased its spawning.

"Is it over?" Mage #1 asked, clearly fatigued and nearly out of mana. "Should we go and try to kill off the remaining Gravelborns?"

Another Mage grunted, shaking his head, "The boss hasn’t come out yet... Unless we deal with that, this gate will just continue to spew out more of them Gravelborns..."

With their conversation fortunately being in Great Melvin, Lillian was able to eavesdrop on them.

She smiled wryly, ’Yeah... We’re not close to the boss yet...’

In the corner of her eyes, she watched as those from security pulled out their mobile devices, hoping to contact the academy about what was going on.

Unfortunately—

"Shit! Something is interfering!"

—They were met with interference.

And the reason wasn’t that they were underground, so it had to be something...

’The Cult of Jesters...’ Lillian sighed.

The infamous terrorist group that prayed to the Jester was behind all of this. The modification of the gate, the choosing of the gate, and lastly, the one who fired the bullet.

Getting up, Lillian rolled her shoulders as she walked over to Kuro.

’Just a few more waves...’

Although she had lost track of how many waves had occurred by now, all she knew was that by the 5th wave, the more powerful enemies would begin to come out.

’I think we’re on the fourth wave now...? So hard to tell with everything going on.’

Kuro was currently sitting off to the side on one of the few good chairs left.

Polishing his blade with a cloth and later sharpening it, he looked up from his steel blade and at Lillian, who was slowly approaching him.

He smiled slightly.

"Did you need something, Lillian? Nice work out there, by the way. You’re rather skilled with your magic."

"Just checking up on you is all, don’t you think that you’re taking things a bit lax?"

"Hm... Not necessarily, I’m merely just taking care of my equipment." Kuro responded indifferently, splitting his attention between his sword and Lillian.

Lillian hummed before glancing at the gate, watching as its greyish body continued to swirl.

She wasn’t sure why, but she felt like there was something off about it.

With a tug of her shirt, Lillian looked down at her necklace; it had been a while since it did anything...

While narrowing her eyes, she heard someone scream.

Pointing at the gate, a mage drew everyone’s attention to it.

"EVERYONE! MORE IS COMING!"

With their call, everyone immediately got into position, their weapons raised and their mana circulating.

Even Lillian was cautious.

Raising her sword, Lillian narrowed her eyes keenly on the gate, waiting. Then, what she and everyone had been waiting for finally came.

However, something was off.

With steps far lighter compared to the Gravelborns, something marched out from the gate.

A sleek, crystalline black body made completely out of obsidian stepped out, standing at an imposing height of 9 feet tall.

Across its smooth obsidian body were magma-like orange cracks that glowed beneath the obsidian platings of its armour. It also wore an angular and sharp helmet that revealed its sharp jaws and eyes hidden behind a single narrow visor.

And strapped to its back was an obsidian longsword with runes carved into the blade.

It was like a dark knight that climbed its way out of the deepest insides of a volcano.

Lillian widened her eyes, feeling the moisture in the air evaporate; her lips instantly went dry.

’He... He wasn’t supposed to come out yet...’

Even if she wasn’t completely sure, this was definitely the fourth wave. This type of monster should only come out in the 5th!

The legs of everyone around her wobbled as they experienced the pressure of the dark knight’s Predatory Aura. Their faces paled near-instantly as their blood seemingly ran dry.

There was no way they could win...

Before Lillian could fully react, the dark knight had already charged at her with its fist raised.

She hurriedly raised her sword and arms in defence, but was—

"Get out of the way!"

—Swiftly kicked out of the way by Kuro, who then went on to take her place.

Raising his mana-covered steel sword in defence, he prepared himself.

The fist shot through the air with profound speed, narrowing in and colliding powerfully against his sword.

Kuro’s steel blade resisted for a split second before rapidly bending inwards with a groan and—

SHATTER!

—Shattering.

With barely enough time to construct a chestplate of ice, Kuro was launched far back, crashing into the wall and causing blood to spill out of his mouth.

"PUAGHK...!"

The Dark Knight’s magma-like veins pulsed with light as he quickly turned his body to the side.

CLANG.

Swiftly raising his hand, he caught Lillian’s blade, shocking the girl, who was then subjected to a fierce glare by the Dark Knight.

Lillian, watching as the Dark Knight raised his other hand into a fist, pulled back her sword into her spatial ring and crossed her arms.

Kuro, who had managed to recover from his slight daze, charged back into the fray.

The Dark Knight, clenching his right hand into a fist, slammed his knuckles into Lillian’s forearms, causing her to wince and hiss in pain. But that wasn’t where it ended.

For once, Kuro got close enough, the Dark Knight shot its other hand and grabbed onto the Sword Genius’s entire face.

And without any warning, the Dark Knight slammed them both into the ground—

THUD!

—With a force strong enough to crater and crack the ground, ultimately breaking through it.

Its hands, which began to send out waves upon waves of seismic energy, caused the ground beneath them to crumble and open up.

Cracks of magma crawl outwards and catch the surrounding mages off guard.

The Dark Knight would then proceed to drag both Lillian and Kuro downwards into a pitch-black hole, dozens upon dozens of metres down into the Earth.

Countless large and small debris crashed into both Lillian and Kuro’s bodies, eliciting a pained and stifled groan.

’How far doing are we going to go...?!’ Lillian panicked inside her mind.

Soon enough, the ground below them gave up, opening up into a bright underground warehouse of workers preparing to send up the next product to be auctioned.

With spin in the air, the Dark Knight tossed both Lillian and Kuro into two separate cargo containers like they were mere toys.

CRASH! x2
