I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess

Chapter 604: Weighing the Pros and Cons?

Chapter 604: Weighing the Pros and Cons?

Clang...!

Marionette’s cold and indifferent eyes gleamed with a glow of surprise; something had stopped her.

Getting a better look, Marionette discovered five swords intersecting beneath her heel, which would’ve undoubtedly crushed Aurelia’s skull.

She narrowed her eyes and looked up, finding herself surrounded by 5 masked individuals, who were clothed completely black apart from their crimson dog masks.

"Cease your current actions and step back, miss."

They were the Bloodhounds.

Marionette’s eyes glinted menacingly, too stubborn to back down.

Pushing her heel against the intersecting swords, Marionette coldly asked with a sharp glint:

"And what if I don’t?"

Her words caused the Bloodhounds to give a sharp glare in return.

"Then, you would pay the price."

With their combined strength, they pushed Marionette back with a flick of their swords.

Marionette stumbled back, quickly regaining balance. It seemed that even with her increased strength, she was still easily pushed back, not like it was much of a surprise.

She watched as one of the six men knelt down and began to wrap Aurelia in a soft, warm light - he was healing her.

This caused Marionette’s face to twitch, annoyed that her efforts in gravely wounding Aurelia were wasted.

Upon taking a subconscious step forward, Marionette watched as the four Bloodhounds - that focused on her - immediately shifted into a threatening stance.

’How annoying...’ Marionette frowned, gripping the handle of her revolver.

First, it was Lillian who impeded her, but now it was the Bloodhounds, with the only difference being that this bunch were far more troublesome to deal with.

They were all a Tier higher than her.

The Tier of a mage was information that was usually kept secret, to prevent your enemies from getting the surface level of your strength.

But if one were to live for over a century and had once belonged to an infamous mercenary organisation, then information about their strength would eventually come to light - depending on how active they were.

Fortunately, this group were rather open about their strength.

’All Tier 3s...’

These men weren’t people Marionette could contend with and win so easily; in fact, she was certain she would lose.

Marionette’s eyes shone with a dark brilliance as crimson bloodlust soon began to exude from her figure.

The Bloodhounds noticed this and immediately exuded their own bloodlust to overpower Marionette’s.

Despite the Assassin’s strong will to eliminate Aurelia, her bloodlust was nothing compared to the Bloodhounds.

If Marionette’s bloodlust was as large as a river, then the combined bloodlust of the Bloodhounds was as big as an ocean, dwarfing Marionette’s by several folds.

And despite this, Marionette continued to hold her usual look of indifference and stood her ground.

Her black veins grew darker, extending further along her skin.

So what if she only had 19 years of experience, and they had over a century? If they dared to threaten her or get in her way, then she would fight and threaten them back.

As she was about to take another step forward, one of the Bloodhounds labelled #3 spoke:

"I wouldn’t take another step if I was you. Not unless you want harm to come to your maid, who we had intercepted."

Marionette’s eyes briefly widened. She scanned each of the Bloodhounds and realised something. There were five of them, but there should be six in total.

The Assassin scowled, frustrated as she raised her gun and leaned its side against her head. She then began to weigh her options, fighting back against her urges.

If she attacked, then Lillian would most likely be harmed, and as much as she wants to put her faith in Lillian’s skills, Marionette would rather trust her logical side.

Lillian was still too inexperienced to contend with these mages.

With an exasperated sigh, Marionette gave up her chase - much to the True Darkness’s dismay.

Seeing that Marionette had conceded, the Bloodhounds gave a nod towards her, finding the woman to be smart enough to know when to give up.

"We do not know what you have against this girl, but your actions today have disrupted the event and also caused damage to the property that is in need of repair. Take the rest of the day off, and we will send you a message on when you can return."

After he said that, the Bloodhounds, including Aurelia, sank into the darkness - disappearing without a trace under Marionette’s watchful gaze.

"... Haa..." Marionette let out another sigh, then felt an odd sensation tickle her mind - something was spectating her.

Glancing towards a random corner, Marionette narrowed her eyes. She looked around, turning her head left to right, but found nothing.

Maybe her senses were still stimulated.

Eventually, Marionette turned around - leaving to return to where she left Lillian.

...

When Marionette finally left, something phased through the corner she was just looking at.

A semi-translucent dragonfly with crystalline wings hovered in the air, having phased through the marble walls; its wings flapped intensely with blurring speed, but emitted no sounds.

It moved and floated like a ghost as it radiated an ethereal aura. The dragonfly’s eyes, which were as round and glamorous as disco-balls, recorded everything that happened.

It would then fly away, phasing through countless walls. Eventually, it ended up in a large room that was once full of food.

The Dining Hall.

The nobles who were within the dining hall had noticed the concerning tremors caused by Marionette’s explosive bullet. They were all then seen on their way out by Damien, despite being heavily tired, managed to put on a large and charismatic smile.

The dragonfly circled around the room before eventually falling on the ear of a purple-haired heroine, who was scoffing down a mountain of food.

Millis.

Her cheeks were puffed out like a chipmunk as she tried to stuff as much food into her mouth as possible.

When the dragonfly landed on her ear, she paused as he mind was flooded with information, causing her pupils to constrict and widen briefly.

’Interesting...’ Millis thought.

Holding a hand to the dragonfly, Millis transformed it into a reflective glass shard before storing it back into her Mana Realm. The name of the monster she recalled was the [Crystalline Ghost Dragonfly].

It wasn’t a highly strong or highly ranked monster, but for its purpose - being reconnaissance - it was alright.

Being able to phase through walls, turn invisible, and record visual and audio information with its eyes, it was a versatile monster to have.

Millis read through the recording in her mind, which started from the moment Marionette found Lillian and Aurelia, to eventually cutting off when Marionette almost killed Aurelia.

The recording made for an exciting show and gave her a lot of intel on how deeply Marionette felt towards Lillian.

’Getting her jealous was definitely worth it.’

Gulp!

Millis swallowed heavily, gulping down her food before completely slumping her back against her chair, patting her stomach.

"PAH~!" Millis gave a loud, satisfied exhale with a joyous grin.

’Now, what to do ne—’

Millis’s face twitched as she felt something probe her mind again. As she was about to scold the intruder, she was forcibly dragged to the exit by Crystal; they were being kicked out.

...

As everyone was beginning to make their way out to their vehicles, there were already two who had reached their limousine.

THUMP.

"O-ow!" Lillian yelped, having been roughly chucked into the backseat of the limousine - the back of her head hitting the inside of the other door.

Lillian winced and nursed the back of her head before shouting, "Hey! What was that for—!?"

THUMP!

The Rabbit immediately zipped her lips as she glanced to her left, finding Marionette’s hand pressed against the window beside her head.

Marionette hovered her face above Lillian’s with a deep frown, slowly closing the door with her darkness.

With her back up against the door and Marionette over her, Lillian was effectively trapped; the Rabbit blushed when she watched the Assassin lean closer to her face.

Lillian turned her face away shyly, causing Marionette to narrow her eyes dangerously.

She then shifted part of her attention to the voice coming from the limousine’s speakers:

"Where to miss?" Elara asked, having woken up to the sound of the doors opening.

She was taking a lovely nap, which was unfortunately interrupted much sooner than she had expected. From what she was told, today’s event would end in around 10-20 more minutes.

"Take us to the provided temporary residence." Marionette’s voice resounded from her side of the speaker.

With a turn of the key and a change in gear, Elara got the limousine to start moving.

Sensing that the car was now in motion, Marionette raised her hand towards the ceiling and pushed a button, making it so that whatever noises in the backseat wouldn’t make it to the front.

Then, she shifted all of her attention back to Lillian, who still remained facing away - this annoyed Marionette a bit.

Placing both of her hands on either side of Lillian’s face, she tugged and pulled back Lillian’s attention to her, making it so she wasn’t looking away.

Then, she muttered:

"Now, then... I think someone is in need of knowing who she belongs to..."

Lillian blushed, then stammered:

"E-eh?"
