I Will Create a Good Ending for the Yandere Villainess

Chapter 648: Visit Aurelia?

Chapter 648: Visit Aurelia?

The Servant narrowed her eyes cautiously, trying to recall anyone with Lillian’s facial structure. Eventually, a spark of realisation flickered in her green eyes.

“Ah, I remember you! You’re that good-looking maid belonging to that black-haired noble. Since when were you acquainted with the young lady?”

Lillian smiled a bit.

‘Good looks really do make you memorable.’

“Just recently. Has she recovered enough to have a visitor?”

“Hm…” The tanned woman’s eyes narrowed in on Lillian, sceptical. Then, without warning, an ominous aura pulsed out of her—enveloping Lillian in an instant.

Shwoom…

The girl felt the pulse wash over her like a light breeze, patting her shoulders and cheeks as though it tried to sense any sort of tension in her muscles.

Afterwards, the aura retracted back into the Servant’s body; a satisfied look now painted her face.

The tanned woman then hummed and turned around, waving for Lillian to come in. “The young lady has recovered enough for a visitor. Come, I’ll take you right to her.”

Lillian watched as the Servant walked away from the doorway, leaving her to close the door on her way in, unbothered by the stunt the woman had just pulled.

As the girl chased and followed after the tanned woman, she noticed that—in comparison to Marionette—Aurelia had a higher number of servants.

Lillian watched as the butler and maids worked tirelessly, seemingly packing everything up, as though they were getting ready to leave.

However, that wasn’t what really caught Lillian’s attention, although it was strange that they were packing up this early.

Instead, it was because—

‘They’re all normal people…’

The Viremont family were known for a few things in the past. But in modern times, they were known for their high-quality production in clothing. But, unlike the Roselle family, the Viremont didn’t have a lot of mage employees to allocate everywhere.

‘Mages are really only hired for security or for specialised tasks.’ Lillian glanced at the tanned woman’s back, sensing the aura of a Tier 3.

This was Aurelia’s attendant.

After a minute of walking, the two arrived in front of a pair of double doors.

The Attendant turned to face Lillian, “When you speak to her, keep your voice quiet and your tone in check. She gets scared a lot, especially from loud noises.”

Lillian nodded, having known this. In the game, the woman would tell Millis the exact same thing whenever you would come over to visit Aurelia.

‘But considering what happened last night, this is definitely going to be a bit different compared to other routes.’ Lillian smiled wryly, still shocked by what happened last night.

Mages were generally known to be more resilient when it came to traumatic events, a bonus of having an active Mana Core. Thus, events that would mentally scar a normal person would either just leave a bad taste in a mage’s mouth or give them nightmares.

‘Granted, such mental resilience isn’t absolute…’

After pushing open the doors, Lillian looked inside to find an empty bedroom. She took a step inside and looked around, momentarily glancing at the bed where she found a mountain of plushies at the head.

It made her briefly recall her own bed back at the academy, the one covered in rabbit plushies.

‘I wonder if any of them survived the mess after the invasion…’ Lillian thought before shaking her head with a sad expression, ‘I doubt it…’

With a bleeding heart, Lillian noticed something in the corner of her eyes. She turned her head to the right and found herself locking eyes with a blue-eyed woman.

Aurelia was sitting at a table with a book in hand, while casually enjoying a cup of what Lillian presumed to be tea. The woman was properly dressed and wasn’t the least bit dishevelled; contrary to Lillian’s expectations, Aurelia looked completely fine!

“Oh! Big sis Lillian, what are you doing here?” Aurelia shouted, waving at Lillian with an adorable, childlike expression, “Come, come! Sit with me!”

After taking a seat across from the woman, Lillian instantly fell into a conversation with her.

“I wanted to see how you were. Did you sleep well?”

“Mhm, mhm! Surprisingly, it wasn’t too bad, hehe.” Aurelia scratched the area behind her ear, “If you didn’t know, I tend to not sleep well the first night when away from home. So, I was really surprised how well rested I felt this morning”

“W-well rested, is that so…?”

Lillian scrutinised the woman’s face as they spoke, growing even more stupefied. ‘She doesn’t even look a bit traumatised by what happened last night… Is there something I’m missing?’

The Rabbit quickly separated her two minds, one for thinking and the other for talking.

‘Ah, I remember Marionette telling me about how the Bloodhounds took Aurelia away. Maybe they gave her something to ease the trauma. It’s the only logical reason for how unaffected Aurelia is. Could it be that they erased her memories of what happened?’ Lillian propped up her chin, ‘It’s not unlikely…’

In her mind, it wouldn’t be a bad thing if Aurelia lost her memories about last night. Not only would it clear some bad air between her and Marionette, but it would definitely help sustain Aurelia’s mental state.

‘It would also be a lot less awkward if we ever talk about Marion—’

“Oh, yeah! How’s your mistress? She, uhm… Seemed quite unhappy with me yesterday.”

Lillian’s two working minds paused immediately upon hearing that. The soft smile she had on her lips faltered for a split second before fixing itself.

‘Looks like her memories weren’t erased, after all; what a bummer…’ The Rabbit’s eyes flickered a little.

Seeing the unsettled look Aurelia was making, Lillian scratched the back of her head, unsure about what to say about last night.

“I’m uhm… Really sorry for what happened yesterday, even though I’m still stunned by it.”

Lillian clasped her hands together and fidgeted with her thumbs.

“I really didn’t know what made her lash out like that. I’m still looking into it, right now. If you want some kind of reimbursement for what happened, we’ll be sure to try and get you whatever you want.” Lillian slowly withdrew her eyes away from Aurelia’s, “I’m not really expecting you to forgive her at all, but I do hope you two will be able to at least get along in the future…”

Aurelia blinked before taking a sip of her tea. She then sighed, tasting it was cold.

“I don’t expect myself to forgive her either.”
