Immortal Divine Tribulation

Chapter 151: The Vengeful Spirit Appears

Chapter 151: The Vengeful Spirit Appears

Tian Fan stepped forward lightly, heading straight toward the central battlefield. This subtle movement instantly tightened everyone’s nerves. This man had just killed a direct descendant of the Huangpu Clan, and now he was going after their heir? The crowd was deeply shaken. They all thought Tian Fan was terrifying—fearless and utterly audacious.

“Xiao Fan!”

Li Yunyang shouted loudly, warning him of the danger. Tian Fan turned back and smiled at the four of them, nodding slightly to show he was fine. Then he turned around and continued walking forward, his steps unchanging.

“You want to make a move?”

The Huangpu heir, still fighting a corpse fiend, glanced at Tian Fan with icy, piercing eyes.

“Don’t think so low of me.”

Tian Fan replied coldly and continued walking forward, ignoring the intense battle between two men and two corpses. He passed straight through the fight. The divine son of Sword Immortal Sect’s eyes flashed with divine light, his body radiating brilliance as he blasted the corpse fiend beside him away.

“Roar…”

That old corpse just so happened to land near Tian Fan. Seeing someone nearby, it let out a ghostly howl. Its red fur bristled, yellow saliva dripped from its mouth, corroding the ground into pits. Like a vengeful ghost awakened from hell, its face twisted, eyes blood-red, and claws sharp—it slashed at Tian Fan.

“Watch out!”

The four from the Great Sealing Sect shouted in shock to warn him.

“Ugh… roaar…”

Tian Fan didn’t move a muscle. Clad in snow-white robes, he continued walking forward as if nothing had happened. But just as the claw was about to touch his head, the corpse fiend let out a shrill scream. Both its claws suddenly began tearing at its own scalp, black liquid oozing out, and it was sent flying once again—landing back beside the divine son of the Sword Immortal Sect.

“What the…?”

Everyone’s faces filled with shock. They clearly saw Tian Fan do absolutely nothing, yet the fierce corpse fiend had been flung away as if struck by an invisible force—and it had clearly suffered a grievous, unimaginable blow.

The divine son’s eyes shot out dazzling light as he stared unblinking at Tian Fan’s back.

The Huangpu heir’s gaze grew colder, his expression tense.

“Roar…”

The corpse fiend howled madly, staring at Tian Fan’s back with visible fear. Then it lunged once again at the divine son. Tian Fan’s Desire Without Trace technique was specialized in restraining soul-based creatures. No matter how strong their physical bodies were, it meant nothing against his formless, overbearing divine sense.

Finally, Tian Fan reached the front. He extended a hand and gently pressed forward, only to be repelled by an invisible wall of force—it was a transparent energy barrier that bounced his hand back. His brows furrowed slightly. This was the power of a barrier, and a very powerful one at that. Even by conservative estimates, it had to be placed by a supreme being in the Immortal Ascension Realm.

He turned around and looked at the fierce ongoing fight between the two men and two corpses. Then he sent a sound transmission to Sun Yueying. She looked surprised at first but quickly nodded silently. After whispering a few words to Li Yunyang and the others, she slowly walked toward Tian Fan with golden divine light above her head.

“Protect those three for me. Don’t let anything happen to them.”

Tian Fan transmitted to the Holy Son of the Demon Saint Palace.

At that moment, Li Yunyang and the others were on the opposite side, close to where the Holy Son of the Demon Saint Palace stood. He could easily ensure their safety—and Tian Fan didn’t believe anyone here would dare touch them anyway.

“Are you really going through with this? Won’t it be dangerous?”

Sun Yueying seemed a little different today. She wore a tight black outfit that perfectly outlined her elegant and slender figure.

“Yes. This is the only way. Unless I break this barrier, we can’t open the path forward.”

“Alright. Be careful. Here—”

Sun Yueying chanted an incantation softly and sent the golden divine light above her head toward Tian Fan.

“Thanks.”

Tian Fan smiled at her as he received the divine light and held it in his palm. He immediately felt a crushing weight. Even with his cultivation nearing the Primordial Unity Realm, it was still difficult to lift—clearly, the old rogue must’ve left a trace of his will inside Sun Yueying’s body. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have been able to maintain it.

As the dazzling golden light dispersed, Tian Fan finally saw its true form. It was a very ancient silver saber, about five feet long, with flawless curves. The material it was made of was rare beyond compare—older and more mystical than the Huangpu heir’s Profound Crystal weapon. At such close range, he could feel how terrifying this silver saber truly was. This was a genuine divine weapon.

“The Reverse Dragon Blade!”

An elderly cultivator cried out in shock. At the sight of the saber, many veteran experts looked visibly emotional. The divine son of the Sword Immortal Sect and the Huangpu heir both grew grim. A true divine weapon needed no concealment—its faint pressure spread naturally, suppressing everyone present. Just holding it, Tian Fan already felt exhausted. The drain on his qi was enormous, far beyond what his current cultivation could sustain for long.

He smirked slightly. The Reverse Dragon Blade shone with dazzling brilliance, radiating a crushing pressure as if it could destroy the heavens. The three corpse fiends on the field trembled in fear. Even their shattered eyeballs revealed an expression of dread.

“He’s trying to cleave open the path!”

Someone exclaimed as Tian Fan raised his right hand and slashed toward the invisible barrier. But just as the Reverse Dragon Blade was about to touch the wall, he suddenly reversed direction and struck upward instead—a golden slash several meters long tore through the space above.

“I sensed you long ago.”

Tian Fan sneered as he looked up.

“Heh heh…”

Just when everyone thought Tian Fan had gone mad, a cold, eerie laugh echoed out. Everyone instantly broke into cold sweat. It was just a laugh—but it felt like their very souls were about to shatter. The horror was overwhelming.

“No wonder you’re a descendant of the gods. Divine perception is indeed far stronger than those lowly ants.”

A shadowy figure emerged in the arena. Just like the Ghost Immortal before, it was completely shrouded in black demonic mist. Only its blood-red eyes exuded a sinister, evil aura.

The moment it appeared, a freezing energy swept across the sky, full of negative power that filled the entire ancient tomb. Everyone broke out in a cold sweat, feeling as if their very flesh was about to crack—Tian Fan included. He activated his golden divine light to shield Sun Yueying behind him and struggled to resist the overwhelming pressure.

“D*mn it, this is some next-level bad luck!”

The Holy Son of the Demon Saint Palace looked like he was about to cry. He stood firm against the oppressive aura while shielding Li Yunyang and the other two. Thankfully, they were farthest from the center and relatively safer.

This was a real vengeful spirit! If one were to compare it using Divine Martial Continent’s cultivation system, it definitely possessed Immortal Ascension-level power.

“Roooar!”

The three corpse fiends howled with excitement, abandoning everyone else and leaping beside the vengeful spirit. Then they actually knelt respectfully like worshippers before a god.

“Rise, my subordinates. Descendant of the gods—we’ve finally waited long enough. We can leave now!”

The vengeful spirit raised both hands to the heavens, visibly thrilled. Behind him, the three corpse fiends howled toward the sky, voices chilling and imposing.

Everyone’s faces turned hopeless.

This was a true vengeful spirit. Even a cultivator in the Immortal Ascension Realm would be troubled by it. It had only ever appeared in legends—yet now, it had emerged from within this ancient tomb.
