Immortal Divine Tribulation

Chapter 158: Battle with the Huangpu Clan

Chapter 158: Battle with the Huangpu Clan

Tian Fan sneered coldly, his gaze locking onto the group ahead. From the very start, he had known that after arriving in the Western Region, the Huangpu clan would never let the matter rest. For him to leave the Western Region unscathed was almost impossible.

What he hadn’t expected was for them to arrive so quickly. He had only been here for a single day. It seemed the young master of the Huangpu clan must also possess some sort of space-transmission scroll; otherwise, such speed would be impossible.

“Kill!”

There was no need for words. The moment these people appeared, their killing intent erupted like a tidal wave, startling the beasts and birds in the nearby mountains into a flurry of frightened cries.

“Aarrr…”

As one of the seven great superpowers of the Divine Martial Realm, even the Huangpu clan’s mounts were formidable—each comparable to a cultivator at the early Spirit Condensation stage. Now they bellowed down at Tian Fan and the Holy Son of the Demon Saint Palace on the ground.

Tian Fan looked upward. The Huangpu young master stood tall atop a blazing Firecloud Bird, hands clasped behind his back, peering down with a cold, imposing face. His eyes gleamed sharply like unsheathed blades.

“Pfft…”

With another cold laugh, Tian Fan stood unmoving as a wave of hot-blooded youths charged toward him. The yin-yang energies swirled in his right hand, and a magnificent divine sword materialized. Its black-and-white sword light was like death’s own summons, surging outward. In an instant, several foes were sliced clean in half, blood spraying across the skies.

“Did you send these people just for me to kill?”

A mocking smile curved his lips. Holding the Yin-Yang Sword, he strolled leisurely into the crowd. With each step, heads flew and waves of blood fanned outward like crimson blossoms.

“For someone like him, there’s no need for pointless talk.”

The Holy Son of the Demon Saint Palace, a blade of grass now lazily between his teeth, moved like lightning. Each flash of his figure left several more enemies dead—throats slit, hearts pierced—every strike a fatal blow.

The Huangpu clan had deployed a sizable force this time, all clad in battle armor and each strong in their own right. Yet, against these two, they were doomed to be slaughtered. Even those at the mid-stage of Cloud Heaven couldn’t halt their advance. In moments, dozens of elite warriors lay dead or dying, forcing the others to hesitate, their sword arms faltering in fear.

“Don’t lose formation! We are the Ancient Martial Huangpu clan—invincible!”

A commanding figure roared. He was a mid-stage Cloud Heaven powerhouse, imposing in his purple-gold helmet. But the next instant, his head flew from his shoulders, rolling across the ground as his body crumpled.

“Son of God, no matter how strong you are, today you will not leave this place alive!”

A cold voice boomed from above.

The Huangpu young master finally spoke, not sparing so much as a glance at the corpses below. Dressed in golden robes, his chiseled features rivaled even those of Xiang Yufei from the Fist Emperor Sect.

“Heh… your courage is truly impressive. You dare to kill someone deeply respected by the ancient gods? One day, aren’t you afraid your clan will be uprooted entirely?”

The Holy Son of the Demon Saint Palace’s tone was mocking, his words making the young master’s expression shift instantly. Scenes from the ancient tomb replayed in his mind—a god, unmistakably real, showing Tian Fan immense respect—leaving everyone baffled.

“Hmph! Ancient gods? If they can’t even protect themselves, I believe only in my own strength!”

The young master’s voice was icy as he soared into the air, red light flaring around him. In that moment, he was like an unsheathed divine blade ready to cleave the heavens—absolute confidence radiating from him.

“A battle was always inevitable!”

Tian Fan launched skyward, divine light sparking in his eyes. A massive golden hand reached out, shaking the very firmament. He had no intention of underestimating this opponent.

Bang…

The Huangpu young master struck with his own crimson-glowing hand. The two palms collided, and dazzling energy erupted like countless fireworks, forcing both back with equally solemn expressions.

Tian Fan was quietly astonished. Though the young master’s physique wasn’t quite his equal, it was still formidable—comparable to a master at the Primordial Unity realm, enough to stand above nearly all of the younger generation.

The Huangpu young master, however, was even more shaken. Since childhood, he had been bathed in heavenly treasures and spiritual medicines, making his body absurdly strong—enough to crush all peers. Yet, after just one palm exchange, his tiger’s mouth throbbed painfully, as if struck by a divine hammer.

“Huangpu young master, you are strong, but against me, you have no hope of victory.”

Tian Fan’s voice was calm. Silver divine light radiated from his body, holy power rippling outward. His hands moved swiftly, and a Five Elements Seal flew from above his head, spinning gently.

“You are very confident!”

Crimson divine light surged skyward as the young master transformed into a colossal blade, waves of destruction emanating from him. The blade descended, rending the air itself.

Boom…

The Five Elements Seal collided with the divine blade in a thunderous explosion. Fierce winds blasted outward like heavenly gales, shredding the very air.

Both men were driven back—this exchange a perfect draw.

“Buzz…”

Tian Fan smiled faintly as the Five Elements Seal reappeared, spinning faster. Around him, countless silver lotuses bloomed in the void. He stepped forward in midair, lifting his right hand slowly.

“Seal!”

His voice was crisp and cold. The enormous silver array descended, and a pillar of silver light engulfed the young master and all those beneath him.

Under the silver diagram, fear spread across every face. All were pinned down, staring in dread at the white-clad figure above.

“Hmph…”

The young master grunted coldly, forcing his right hand to form a seal. A blade of qi shot from his fingertips, slicing the Five Elements Seal apart. The restraint broke instantly, and the men below exhaled in relief.

“These two really are terrifying,” the Holy Son of the Demon Saint Palace muttered from a distance, lazily reclining with his blade of grass.

“Not bad… very good. Among the younger generation, you’re the first to truly make me fight at my full strength.” The young master’s tone was cold as he stared at Tian Fan.

“Is that so? Yet you’re not as strong as I imagined.”

Tian Fan’s voice was equally calm, but the words made every Huangpu clan member’s expression darken. To speak so to their future patriarch was unthinkable.

“I hope your strength matches your words—otherwise, it will be shameful indeed!”

The young master’s golden robe flared without wind, blood-red light erupting from his body. A strange, tyrannical aura spread rapidly from him, forcing his clansmen to retreat far away.

“I think you’re the one fated for shame today.”

Tian Fan’s voice was frosty. Divine radiance erupted from his body, and above his head, a golden swast!ka seal manifested, exuding peerless might, making him appear like a god of war descending from the heavens.
