Immortal Divine Tribulation

Chapter 160: Shangguan Clan’s Fury

Chapter 160: Shangguan Clan’s Fury

Chaotic energy swirled around Tian Fan. Behind him, the Five Elements Eight Trigrams Seal trembled lightly, releasing a strange and immense power that filled the heavens and earth.

“What is that? Why does it feel like the dawn of creation?”

“I feel the same way!”

The onlookers in the distance were all dumbfounded. The divine diagram behind Tian Fan looked like a newborn world, emanating an incomparable and terrifying aura.

Even the heir of the Huangpu Clan turned pale. He hadn’t expected his opponent to possess such a divine art. Still, he did not falter—his body exuded an ethereal aura, his hands pressed together as though he were an enlightened being.

“Lin!”

His deep voice rang out like celestial music. Ripples of mysterious energy spread from his body, distorting the space around him. The heavens shook as a dark-green figure stepped forth from the void, holding a demon-breaking sword, radiating overwhelming might.

This warrior, born entirely from soundwaves, carried power comparable to that of the Primordial Unity realm. A strange force surged around it—it felt like the power of heaven and earth itself, or even the embodiment of the Dao.

Tian Fan’s heart trembled. Such a divine art was terrifying beyond measure, one that could shake the past and present. If not for his mastery over the Five Elements Eight Trigrams Seal, he might have perished here today.

He stepped lightly into the air, leaving clear footprints in the void.

The sight horrified the onlookers below—how terrifyingly strong was his physical body?

With a solemn expression, Tian Fan silently activated the Five Elements Method. A faint silver light spread from his body. The Five Elements Eight Trigrams Seal behind him exhaled threads of chaotic qi, protecting him within. At this moment, he seemed to stand in another world, no longer bound by this realm.

“Qian!”

His low cry echoed. Behind him, the Five Elements Eight Trigrams Seal quivered, and the “Qian” position emitted a faint radiance, illuminating everything ahead like divine wisdom.

The heir of the Huangpu Clan grew equally cautious. He gave another shout, and the dark-green battle general raised its sword to clash head-on with the divine light.

Boom!

A devastating wave of energy burst forth. The battle general’s sword was shattered, its hand crushed to pieces, its body riddled with cracks. At the same time, Tian Fan’s Five Elements Eight Trigrams Seal shook violently and began to blur.

Both men were flung back, coughing blood. But neither was ordinary—divine light still flickered in their eyes as they shot forward like lightning.

Tian Fan thrust out his right hand, channeling the Five Elements Method with full force. The divine diagram behind him grew sharper, releasing a streak of black light that shattered the green battle general. His gaze turned icy as a golden palm descended, shattering space itself like fragile porcelain.

“Open!”

The heir of the Huangpu Clan’s face turned pale. With a loud shout, the nearly-dissipated battle general reappeared, even stronger than before. It transformed into the single character “Lin.” Though simple, it made Tian Fan’s heart chill.

He immediately retreated, forming seals with both hands. The Five Elements Eight Trigrams Seal blazed brightly, heaven and earth revolving as if to reshape creation. It met the looming “Lin” head-on, while his golden palm, wreathed in lightning, struck down and shattered the enormous character.

Whoosh!

With Cloud-Stepping movement, Tian Fan appeared beside the heir of the Huangpu Clan. The Five Elements Eight Trigrams Seal floated above his head, shielding him, as his golden fist smashed downward.

Bang!

The heir of the Huangpu Clan’s face twisted in shock. Scarlet light flared as twin divine blades appeared in his hands, crossing upward to block. But it was useless. Tian Fan’s body was like a divine weapon itself—his fist crushed the blades and continued down unimpeded. In today’s younger generation, almost no one could withstand his physical might. Even those at the Primordial Unity realm would be pummeled to death.

Pfft!

The heir of the Huangpu Clan was blasted away, blood spraying from his mouth. Yet his expression remained icy. From his brow emerged a fragment of shattered bone, his aura shifting to something razor-sharp, like an unsheathed divine blade. He formed ancient seals, and the fragment gleamed with golden brilliance.

A chill ran through Tian Fan. The Crown Prince was preparing another terrifying divine art. Not willing to give him time, Tian Fan surged forward with Cloud-Stepping, golden light flashing in his eyes. Hundreds of spiritual strikes burst forth, overwhelming the heir of the Huangpu Clan and drawing a scream. Yet gritting his teeth, the man continued forming seals.

Boom!

At that instant, Tian Fan appeared above him. Yin and Yang energy flowed, condensing into a dazzling divine sword in his right hand, while his left palm slammed down with full strength, shattering the void. The raw power of his body left the crowd below trembling in terror, cold sweat soaking their robes.

“This freak!”

The Holy Son of the Demon Saint Palace muttered under his breath.

Pfft!

The heir of the Huangpu Clan’s technique was forcibly broken. Though the bone fragment blocked the Yin-Yang Sword, Tian Fan’s golden palm still smashed him from the sky, blood spilling from his lips as cracks spread across his body.

“Young master!”

The Huangpu clan’s followers cried out in alarm. Never before had anyone forced their heir into such a state. Just how strong was this man above?

“I told you long ago—you are no match for me, isn’t that right?”

Tian Fan looked down with a calm voice, though inwardly shocked. The heir of the Huangpu Clan truly was worthy of his reputation—an invincible peer. His strength was immense, his body monstrously durable, surviving even Tian Fan’s full-force strike without being shattered.

“I still have divine arts I have yet to use. If I had, the result might have been different. But it’s over now. You won’t leave here alive.” The heir’s voice was cold.

Just then, two overwhelming auras surged from the distance, crashing down like tidal waves, filled with killing intent.

The Huangpu clan’s disciples brightened with joy, bowing reverently in that direction.

“You d*mned wretch! I’ll tear you to pieces to appease my son’s spirit!”

Before the figures even arrived, a thunderous voice shook the skies. The void itself cracked from the sound.

“It’s over. Immortal Ascension experts!”

The Holy Son of the Demon Saint Palace’s face twisted in shock as he appeared at Tian Fan’s side.

“Hmph, a few old fossils!”

Tian Fan sneered without fear. He bit his finger, golden-tinged blood dripping as his hands formed seals. He pressed forward, summoning a massive array in the void. Two portals of space and time opened before him.

From the portals surged a terrifying pressure, whirlwinds raging outward. Countless disciples of the Huangpu clan were swept away, pale with fear. Even the heir of the Huangpu Clan’s face changed—he hadn’t expected Tian Fan to hold such a trump card.

“So you had a backup after all. You nearly scared me!”

The Demon Palace Holy Son patted his chest, letting out a long sigh of relief.

Boom!

At last, two figures stepped from the portals—elderly men with white hair and wrinkled faces, but their blood and spirit were fierce, their presence like two primordial beasts. The sheer pressure made it hard for anyone to breathe.

The two Huangpu experts who had arrived—men who looked like they were in their prime but with eyes deep as the abyss—were in fact ancient ancestors of their clan. Yet when they saw the newcomers, their faces shifted drastically.

“Greetings, honored seniors!”

Tian Fan stepped forward, bowing with respect to the two elders. Because of Zi Ying, he felt a deep kinship with the Shangguan family. Even the Holy Son of the Demon Saint Palace put away his usual insolence, joining Tian Fan in paying respects. He knew such beings were near-divine.

“Rise, child. Tell us—how goes the matter?”

One white-haired elder, trembling with excitement, personally helped Tian Fan up and asked about the progress of the Five Spirit Orbs.

“Yes, senior. I’ve already found three. Only two remain!”

Tian Fan extended his hands. Three luminous Orbs emerged from his body, crystal-clear and radiant. The powerful spiritual energy within left everyone stunned.

The two Huangpu ancestors’ expressions changed again. They stared at the three Orbs in shock, clearly sensing the unmatched energy flowing from them.

Someone had truly gathered the legendary Five Spirit Orbs! Even ancient figures had failed to find them, dismissing them as myth. Yet this youth of the Cloud Heaven realm had already collected three! Their jaws nearly hit the ground.

“Good, good! Child, you truly did not disappoint us old men. Ying’er—she can be saved!”

The two elders trembled with emotion, eyes fixed on the Orbs. In all their ten thousand years of life, they had never seen such treasures. More importantly, these Orbs now carried the fate of their most beloved little princess.

That kind-hearted, innocent girl had once risked her life to enter the “Immortal Island of No Return,” one of the three deadliest forbidden grounds of the Divine Martial Continent, seeking the mythical holy fruit to prolong their lives. She had nearly perished.

“Huangpu Clan! Why did you attack him? You had better give us a proper explanation. Otherwise, we will not let this matter rest!”

The two white-haired elders warned Tian Fan to safeguard the spirit Orbs, then turned toward the Huangpu clan.

Waves of killing intent burst forth.

To ambush Tian Fan was to harm the Shangguan family’s beloved little princess by extension. Their fury was deadly serious.
