Immortal Divine Tribulation

Chapter 202: Wrath

Chapter 202: Wrath

During this time, the atmosphere in the Shangguan Family had become increasingly pleasant. Murong Qiu gradually integrated into this big family, often sharing a room with Zi Ying. With two stunning beauties around, the two little ones no longer stayed by Tian Fan’s side, instead choosing to be with Zi Ying and Murong Qiu, leaving him with a sudden feeling of “betrayal by those close to him.”

“Zi Ying? Little Qiu Qiu? Greedy Dragon? Little Phoenix? Get up!”

The weather was beautiful today, with the sun shining warmly. Tian Fan had risen early, consistently practicing his breathing exercises under the morning sun. Although it didn’t directly increase his cultivation level, it greatly benefited his foundational skills, making his cultivation more stable.

As the sun hung high in the sky, he suddenly realized that the group had not yet woken up. With the intention of guiding them towards goodness, he stood in front of Zi Ying’s room and shouted inside.

Creak…

The door to the room opened, but before he could react, a soft pillow flew out and hit him, knocking him to the ground. At the same time, four different voices came from inside the room.

“Why are you yelling so early in the morning!”

“Shut up, let me sleep a little longer.”

“You’re such a bad person, disturbing our sleep!”

“Ugh, brother, I feel sorry for you.”

Tian Fan stood outside, holding a pure white jade pillow that still carried a faint fragrance. Hearing those four lines, he couldn’t help but feel a surge of blood rush to his face.

He looked into Zi Ying’s room and was immediately stunned. Four pristine white legs were sprawled out, their skin as pure as snow, covered by a thin layer of purple gauze. The hazy beauty of the scene made his cheeks flush.

“Huh?”

Suddenly, he sensed something unusual. He reached his right hand to his nose, and a splash of red appeared before his eyes, making him feel utterly embarrassed.

“Phew… thankfully no one saw!”

He nervously glanced around, wiped away the blood trickling from his nose, and used his palm strength to close the door to Zi Ying’s room from a distance.

As he walked along the path, he felt a wave of unfairness wash over him. Zi Ying could sleep until noon every day, and throughout these days, Tian Fan had never seen her practice seriously. Even the Shangguan Brothers had said they hadn’t seen her train diligently. Yet, her cultivation level advanced by leaps and bounds, reaching heights that others could only dream of at the age of twenty.

He didn’t want to think about it anymore; it was a classic case of “people are infuriatingly different.”

In the afternoon, the group finally emerged from the room. Little Dragon suggested they go to the small bamboo grove for a barbecue. Although Tian Fan was willing, it seemed that fate had other plans for him.

On this very day, a special visitor arrived at the Shangguan Family—a messenger from the Soaring Dragon Dynasty. The news he brought sent a shock through Tian Fan’s entire being.

Long Yuyun was in trouble; he had been abducted by a mysterious person, and his life or death was uncertain. The person left a message, specifically calling for Tian Fan to rescue him, or else Long Yuyun’s life would be in jeopardy.

“Damn it!”

Tian Fan was furious, smashing a nearby stone table to pieces with a punch. Someone was targeting him, and they had even dared to harm Long Yuyun. Thinking of his innocent and kind-hearted younger brother, a murderous intent brewed in his eyes.

“Don’t worry, he’ll be fine!” Murong Qiu comforted him, as she also liked the little prince and understood how important he was to Tian Fan.

“Don’t rush; let’s first go to the Soaring Dragon Dynasty.”

Although Zi Ying had never been to the Soaring Dragon Dynasty, she knew that he had such an important younger brother. Back when they were at the Great Sealing Sect, Tian Fan had told them everything.

Tian Fan nodded heavily, his brows furrowing. He couldn’t understand how that person knew about his relationship with Long Yuyun. He had already clearly stated that he had severed ties with the Soaring Dragon Dynasty. How could his enemies possibly capture someone from the Soaring Dragon Dynasty to threaten him? And why specifically Long Yuyun?

“Seventh Prince, please come in!”

Outside the Soaring Dragon Hall, several guards bent slightly at the waist, showing immense respect, their expressions tinged with fear. Unlike in the past, the person before them was no longer someone they could afford to underestimate; even the many sacred grounds had to treat him with caution.

“What on earth is going on?” Tian Fan strode directly into the hall, not bothering to greet Long Aotian. He merely nodded slightly at the old National Teacher standing nearby. With such a situation unfolding, the old National Teacher would naturally be present.

Tian Fan was anxious and directly voiced his confusion. Beside him, Zi Ying stubbornly brought Little Dragon along.

“What kind of attitude is that!?” Long Aotian frowned. After all, he was the ruler of a dynasty. Even though Tian Fan had distanced himself from the Soaring Dragon Dynasty, he was still very displeased with such a demeanor.

“I don’t want to discuss attitudes right now. Who took Yuyun, and where is she?” Tian Fan demanded.

On the other side, Zi Ying scrutinized Long Aotian closely. Knowing that Long Aotian had been indifferent to Tian Fan for many years, she felt very dissatisfied and pouted slightly, teasing Little Dragon in her arms.

The old National Teacher nodded kindly at Tian Fan. However, when he saw Zi Ying, he was utterly shocked. How could he not recognize that the little girl’s cultivation level had already reached the Immortal Ascension Realm?

“Hmph! Bring in the First Prince and the Second Prince!” Long Aotian commanded.

Before long, two imposing young men entered, both dressed in golden battle attire, exuding an extraordinary aura. They strode in from outside and, upon seeing Tian Fan in the hall, both revealed expressions of hatred and fear. However, when they laid eyes on Zi Ying, they were instantly stunned, unable to look away.

“Hmph!” Tian Fan snorted coldly. The two robust figures trembled at once, staring in horror at the former waste of a person before them; they had not forgotten the last incident.

“Tell him the details!” Long Aotian ordered.

“It’s like this. After the last incident, we brothers felt somewhat guilty towards the Eighth Brother, so we went to apologize. However, we discovered he was being controlled by a mysterious person. Upon seeing us arrive, the mysterious person shot a metal plate at us, instructing us to go to the Hell Valley to rescue the Eighth Brother, or he would take lethal action,” one of them explained.

“That’s right, that’s how it is. You should hurry and go, after all, he is our brother,” Long Youtian added from the side.

Tian Fan held the metal plate that Long Batian had handed over, his expression momentarily stunned. He hadn’t expected Long Youtian to say such a thing. He furrowed his brows and looked at the two.

“Don’t look at us like that. We are also very worried about the Eighth Brother,” Long Batian said, his gaze somewhat evasive.

Tian Fan carefully examined the jade plate in his hand. It was as white as jade, seemingly carved from mutton fat, but felt incredibly heavy and solid.

“Did you catch this?” Tian Fan asked Long Batian.

“Indeed, I caught it!” Long Batian replied.

“You’re lying!” Tian Fan snapped, fixing his gaze on Long Batian.

“Nonsense! I’m telling the truth; the Second Brother can testify!” Long Batian insisted, with Long Youtian agreeing.

“With your cultivation level, it’s impossible for you to have caught this metal plate. Speak! What exactly happened?” Tian Fan said coldly. On this white jade plate, there still lingered a faint pressure, at least from someone at the Peak of Primordial Unity. Long Batian only had the cultivation level of Cloud Sky Peak, so it was impossible for him to have caught it.

“Perhaps that person wanted us to send a message and showed some mercy,” Long Batian suggested, though his eyes were clearly flickering.

“Is that so? The Soaring Dragon Dynasty is heavily guarded. Not to mention a person from the Primordial Unity Realm, even someone from the Immortal Ascension Realm wouldn’t be able to sneak in unnoticed. How was Yuyun taken? Is it related to you two?” Tian Fan shouted, glaring at them. He had a serious feeling that this was a conspiracy. Even Long Aotian and the old National Teacher frowned. At this moment, upon hearing Tian Fan’s words, they realized what kind of person could so easily infiltrate the Soaring Dragon Dynasty.

“It was just like that, we didn’t lie, it has nothing to do with us!” The two princes exclaimed anxiously, their eyes flickering and their expressions somewhat flustered.

“Fine, if you won’t speak, I’ll see for myself!” Tian Fan coldly retorted, his eyes flashing with a demonic light as he directly probed into the Sea of Divine Consciousness of the two. A series of images rapidly surfaced before his eyes, and as he glimpsed the information within their minds, he couldn’t help but tremble violently.

“You two!” Tian Fan glared at them in fury, his suspicions confirmed. He was enraged, no longer holding back. A golden hand shot out, grabbing both of them.

“Ah, Father, Father, save us!” The two cried out in terror.

“How dare you!” Long Aotian suddenly stood up, but was shaken by another force. Zi Ying quietly stood beside Tian Fan, a faint pressure emanating from her, blocking Long Aotian and causing his expression to change dramatically.

The old National Teacher stood to the side, not intervening.

“It really was you two behind this!” At that moment, Tian Fan was nearly berserk, his body trembling uncontrollably. He no longer held back; the Heaven-Slaying Devil Art surged wildly, causing the two to convulse violently. Spiritual imprints began to emerge from their bodies, projecting onto the grand hall.

“Are you sure you can kill that beast?” In the images, Long Batian and Long Youtian appeared, followed by a young man—the Divine Son of the Sword Immortal Sect—whose aura was at the Peak of Primordial Unity, which was quite astonishing.

“Of course, do you really care about this brother?” The Divine Son of the Sword Immortal Sect said teasingly.

“Hmph, brother? What a joke!” Long Batian scoffed, continuing to walk forward towards a direction that Tian Fan was familiar with—Long Yuyun’s room.

“Alright, give this jade token to that person and have him come to the Inferno Valley. Hehe, if he comes, he will surely die; if he doesn’t come, this person will die…” The Divine Son of the Sword Immortal Sect held the unconscious Long Yuyun, grinning sinisterly.

“Good, just like that. We must eliminate that little beast!” Long Youtian’s final dark voice echoed, and the scene ended there.

The grand hall fell into an extreme silence, until a moment later, an angry roar erupted.

“Unfilial sons, you two unfilial sons!” Long Aotian’s body trembled with rage.

The old National Teacher shook his head repeatedly, his eyes filled with sorrow.

“Too despicable!” Zi Ying exclaimed, while the little dragon perched on her head tightened its golden claws, clearly furious.

“Father, I was wrong, I was wrong! We won’t dare again!” The two cried out simultaneously, their faces filled with terror, never expecting to be exposed.

The Heaven-Slaying Devil Art was the supreme sacred technique of the Demon Emperor, and Tian Fan’s cultivation level far surpassed theirs, allowing him to see through some memory fragments in their Sea of Divine Consciousness.

“Ah!” Tian Fan roared, demonic energy surging. Long Batian and Long Youtian let out piercing screams, and even Long Aotian couldn’t stop it. Zi Ying held him back, while the old National Teacher surprisingly did not intervene, clearly disappointed in the two.

In the end, he threw the two out, feeling utterly exhausted. This fatigue stemmed from his spirit; after twenty years in the Soaring Dragon Dynasty, he had endured neglect and ridicule. That was one thing, but now these two had schemed to put him to death, even targeting the most innocent little brother.

“You… you have ruined us!” The two were thrown to the ground, disheveled, and wrinkles appeared on their faces. They stared in horror at their own hands.

“This is too much! How can you do this!” Long Aotian was furious. Although these two had committed a grave mistake, they were both of extraordinary natural aptitude. Now, they had been rendered useless, completely reduced to mortal bodies, unable to cultivate any longer. This was a tremendous loss for the dynasty, as they were the most capable heirs of the future Soaring Dragon.

“I did just that, what can you do about it!”

Tian Fan let out a thunderous roar, his eyes turning red as a torrent of demonic energy emanated from his body, causing Long Aotian to shiver in fear. The several guards outside were so frightened that they trembled in terror.

“Ah! Father, National Teacher, kill him, kill him!” the two cried out in despair, filled with resentment as they charged at Tian Fan.

“Pfft…” With a single kick, Tian Fan sent the two flying, his body enveloped in swirling demonic energy as he fixed his gaze on Long Aotian and coldly declared, “If anything happens to my brother, don’t blame me for destroying your Soaring Dragon Dynasty!”

After saying this, he strode out, exuding an overwhelming killing intent as he left the Soaring Dragon Hall, soaring into the sky and flying towards Hell Valley. The many generals stood still as if frozen, not daring to intervene.
