Chapter 4174: You called them! I
Chapter 4174: You called them! I
Her dark and white hair fell in waves that seemed to exist in perfect symmetry, each strand knowing exactly where it belonged!
The white robe she wore was authority given form.
Her eyes lit with complex recognition as she looked around, taking in the familiar-yet-different architecture of this nexus where all Living Existences mingled.
Then her gaze rose higher, piercing through dimensional barriers with the ease of someone looking through clear glass.
She stared across the vast expanse of the Transcendent Origin Folds, her attention fixing on a distant point that pulled at her with gravity that transcended the physical.
The Heart of Origin.
Her home.
The word carried weight that nearly made her falter!
Home...where her family had burned themselves to ash for the sake of Order.
Home, where every corner held memories of laughter before it held memories of sacrifice.
Home, where she had learned what love meant by watching it destroy itself for principle.
She moved to stand beside Noah, her voice emerging with melancholy that made the golden air around them grow heavy.
"I miss the memories of that place and what it used to represent," she said, each word carefully chosen yet with emotion. "But I hate the people there. The Royal Living Origins who made that choice. The Dukes who convinced my Ama that sacrifice was the only path. The ones who watched my family burn and called it necessity."
Her eyes carried traces of longing mixed with pain...the particular anguish of loving a place while hating what it had become!
The moment Noah saw that expression, his eyes sharpened to points that could have cut through the veils between realities.
"I could decimate all those Living Origins that caused you pain."
The offer was delivered with the same tone someone might use to suggest getting dinner.
Casual. Certain. Absolutely sincere.
Sigrid’s lips curved into a smile that contained too much understanding to be happy.
She shook her head, preparing to explain why vengeance wouldn’t heal what had been broken, but-
HUUM!
The sound rolled across existence like thunder from a storm that hadn’t formed yet. It wasn’t loud so much as deep, resonating in frequencies that bones recognized before ears could process.
Noah and Sigrid looked up simultaneously, their enhanced perceptions cutting through dimensional layers to see what was coming.
Across the vast stretches of the Transcendent Origin Folds, there had only been auroras of beautiful white and gold...the natural luminescence of Origin authority permeating through structured space.
Yet at this moment, from all directions at once...
WU! WU! WU!
Hues of obsidian began blooming in the far distance like inverse stars igniting.
The light was wrong in ways that transcended color...it felt grand and terrible, as if it were leaking from a place that should have been sealed, as if death that had been carefully contained had suddenly found its dams exploding.
RIIP!
Space began to tear. Not in one location but across different regions throughout the Transcendent Origin Folds!
The tears started as lines of absolute black against reality’s fabric, then widened into oval doorways that spilled endless weavings of death and endings. Each tear was perfectly positioned, surgically precise in its placement...too precise to be natural, too coordinated to be coincidence.
The marketplace erupted into chaos as Living Existences recognized the threat.
Above Concordia, multiple auras of Duke-level power blazed to life like defensive fires against approaching winter.
These weren’t just Living Origin Dukes...the Coalition of Living Existences had members here from every faction here, and they all responded with trained precision to existential threat!
Tens of thousands of Royal, Honored, and Prime Living Existences began gathering with speed that bent space around their movement. They looked at the widening tears with expressions that cycled through shock, fear, and a desperate question that none wanted to voice- Why?
They had received no reports of mass tears opening in other Transcendent Folds.
So why was it that so many tears were opening specifically in the Transcendent Origin Folds?
Noah’s eyes remained sharp as he observed the swathes of Living Existences scrambling to respond.
He understood what they didn’t...when one lacked the right knowledge, they could only ever move reactively, playing a game whose rules they didn’t know existed.
These beings saw the Tears of Existence and thought simply: The Dead will emerge and cause destruction if not stopped.
They didn’t know, couldn’t know, that these tears were likely purposeful, deliberate, orchestrated!
They didn’t understand that existence itself didn’t have particular animosity toward the Transcendent Origin Folds. This wasn’t existential judgment but collateral damage in someone else’s plan.
The machinations of Schrodinger, most likely. A paradox needing something from here, and willing to sacrifice an entire Fold’s stability to obtsin his means!
None of them knew this. But Noah held more information than most, could do more than simply react to unfolding catastrophe. He could prepare. He could plan. He could profit.
At this moment, Noah had a very specific goal: One Quadrillion.
He had become a Duke. Exceeded ten trillion in complexity and purity. By most measures, this was magnificent achievement.
But so what?
Young Early Creatures...not even mature ones, but their young, were born with one quadrillion.
One thousand trillion as their starting point!
How could he be satisfied with a mere ten trillion when he was supposed to be an Early Creature? When he bore the title of The Early Creature, Osmont?!
The disparity gnawed at him with mathematics that demanded resolution.
He needed to bridge that gap not gradually but exponentially. He needed resources, opportunities, and challenges that would force his evolution beyond current limitations!
HUUM!
His eyes pulsed with bursts of blue-gold arcs that formed infinity symbols in the air before dissolving.
His gaze rose to focus on the Tears of Existence with the particular attention of a farmer examining fields ready for harvest.
Whatever came through those tears, he would break down and devour to aid his elevation toward one quadrillion!
Let them come. Let them all come!
His body began to vibrate with anticipation that transcended the physical. His existence itself buzzed with fervor, resonating at frequencies that made nearby space reconsider its stability!
Prompts materialized before his vision:
Your existence senses weavings of unfathomable danger and opportunity approaching
The Seed of the Principle of Perpetual Harvest recognizes the effort you wish to exert
Analyzing optimal support configuration...
The Principle of Perpetual Harvest throws its support wholly toward: Your Weavings of Loot
Loot probability increased by 1000%
Loot quality increased by 1000%
All enemies defeated will drop maximum possible resources
Oh!
