Chapter 4190: Desperation! IV
Chapter 4190: Desperation! IV
The transformation was instantaneous and absolute!
Guided by the tendrils of Noah’s own Haki, her trillions of Complexity and Purity, once a vast, ordered sea spread across her being, surged inward.
They crashed into her radiant white heart, a conceptual supernova that threatened to tear her apart.
But it held. Oh, it held!
And in the next instant, her aura, already magnificent, became something transcendent.
A beam of pure white light, so dense it seemed solid, shot forth from her, not as an attack, but as a declaration.
Waves of white brilliance began spreading out, permeating everything, washing over the ruins, the Dead, the Living, the very air itself!
It was the light of absolute, undeniable Order.
The Heart of Order has expressed itself truly for the first time in this age.
Under its influence, all those basking in its light shall form the Glyph of Order.
Glyph Effect: Grants a base Purity of 50 Trillion. All affected entities will find their existence in a more ordered, efficient state.
Note: This includes The Dead. Their chaotic death energy is being temporarily... organized.
Unknown effects of Order are permeating across the Transcendent Origin Folds.
Additional Note: Organizing the un-organizable is a bold strategy. Let’s see how it plays out.
Noah felt it form on his back, a massive, intricate white glyph that felt like a garden of impossible geometries blooming into existence!
His strength, already amplified, shot to another level. The same glyph appeared on Ra’Zan, on the Ape, on the distant, beleaguered Dukes, and even, impossibly, on the nine heads of the Ancestral Turtle.
The light of Order permeated everything.
Noah looked at this with eyes of ever increasing Quintessence
This was the way.
This...was the way!
Was existence unfair? Was it hard? Then existence did not yet know how hard and how unfair he could get.
His eyes flashed, and a burst of bloody purple flames erupted from him, an outward expression of his Haki of The Early Creature, Osmont!
The radiant bloody throne that had appeared above Sigrid’s head now manifested above all his chosen allies...Ra’Zan, the Ape, Ozymandias, the scattered Dukes, and the nine-headed turtle.
The Heart of Tyranny is empowering all selected allies while cursing all enemies within its range.
His gaze remained cold. He was only getting started.
He turned his attention to his other self, to Ozymandias. From the writhing mass of tentacles, a new wave of power surged.
BOOM!
The bloody obsidian flames of the Heart of Hunger spread out, and above Noah’s head and the heads of his allies, a new symbol appeared: a set of bloody obsidian jaws, opening and closing in an endless, silent scream of appetite.
The Heart of Hunger has blessed all allies. Each has gained a temporary boon of 125 Trillion in Complexity and Purity.
...!
Oh!
Then came Ra’Zan and the Primordial Stone Ape.
Their own Hearts, now fully ignited, erupted with their unique authorities. Two more markers appeared above the heads of their allies: another set of obsidian jaws, and a terrifying, obsidian flaming skull!
The Heart of Inevitable Hunger (Ra’Zan) has blessed all allies, granting a temporary boon of 125 Trillion in Complexity and Purity.
The Heart of Death (Primordial Stone Ape) has blessed all allies, granting a temporary boon of 150 Trillion in Complexity and Purity.
Oh!!!
Noah stood amidst this symphony of power, his own body a nexus of conflicting, yet harmonized, authorities.
The bloody purple flames of his own Heart of Tyranny swirled around him. The cool, serene white light of the Glyph of Order formed a garden of light on his back.
And above his head, the three obsidian markers of Hunger and Death floated like a dark crown. He looked like an incarnation of a celestial being, a paradox of creation and destruction!
In totality, your Weavings of Existence and those of others supported by the same boosts from various Hearts allows you to express an excess of 500 Trillion in Complexity and Purity without worry.
HUUM!
Yes. This was what his choice had achieved!
He turned to Sigrid, her own form now a blazing white sun of ordered power, and a smile touched his lips.
"Let loose, O Order," he said, his voice a calm command in the eye of the storm. "You have the power to do so now."
With a nod that was both a promise and a threat, she vanished, reappearing an instant later high in the sky, her gaze fixed on the endless tide of The Dead.
"It’s rudimentary, but now you’re getting it, Outsider," Khor’s voice echoed beside him. "You may have not needed me here after all."
He may not have needed her. No. He still needed her. He would always need more. Because even this, this glorious, impossible display of power, was just the beginning!
He was fucking hungry for more.
"Can you round up the more powerful ones?" he asked, his voice a low, dangerous command.
"Bind them and reduce their power as much as possible before bringing them to me- to Ra’Zan and Ozymandias."
WAA!
If he had a weapon of her caliber, a force that could decimate his enemies and make the harvest easier, why would he not use it?
Khor looked at him, and her smile was a thing of terrible, beautiful hunger. "Okay, Outsider."
She tapped the air.
TAP!
In the distance, a Dead Existence that had been radiating over 300 Trillion in complexity cried out.
Its form folded like paper, and space warped. It appeared, bound and broken, at Noah’s feet, laid down like a present.
TAP! TAP! TAP!
With each tap of her finger, another powerful Dead Existence was crumbled, folded through space, and delivered. They bloomed around him, a grotesque garden of loot caches waiting to be opened!
Noah’s eyes pulsed with a cold, tyrannical light.
His heart screamed a single, silent word that was both a prayer and a command.
More.
This was what it meant to be him. To devour, to grow, to rise. He had done this, and he would do even more.
"This..." he bellowed, his voice a roar that was heard by every being, living and dead, across the Fold, "is the price of driving me to desperation!"
HUUM!
Ra’Zan and Ozymandias landed beside him, their hunger ravenous, and the feast began anew!
Trillions of Complexity flowed into him with every passing second, and all of it, every last drop, he directed toward his heart. The bloody purple light around him grew denser, hotter, more real.
Existence should not have made a man such as him desperate. For this... this was a recipe for catastrophe!
