Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 4222: Bobby! I

Chapter 4222: Bobby! I

In a Fold under the control of Living Laws...there was the Juridicial Sanctum!

The Juridical Sanctum of the Living Laws was a place of profound, unnerving stillness.

It was a realm carved from a single, unified concept: absolute, unyielding Law.

Pristine floors of white marble, polished to a mirror sheen, stretched out in every direction, reflecting a sky that was not a sky at all, but a luminous, featureless expanse of pure, white light.

From these floors, massive marbled pillars, each one a testament to the unshakeable foundations of Law, rose to meet that impossible sky.

All around, in silent, solemn rows, stood massive statues of white crystal and stone.

They were effigies of famous Dukes of Law from across the eons, each one depicted with a blindfold over their eyes and holding a different type of scale, a silent, eternal testament to the idea that justice was blind and that all things could be weighed.

The air itself was cold, sterile, and utterly silent.

And into this perfect, sterile silence, chaos arrived.

A brilliant, white-gold light flashed into existence...and then they were there.

Henry, Liora, Lilith, Ayame, Lodovico, the Bard of Quintessence, and a single, writhing, and curiously happy Young Inevitability.

They had barely materialized, their auras of Duke-level power a riot of color and energy in this monochrome world, when they realized they were not alone!

Directly ahead of them, a patrol of Honored and Prime Living Laws, their forms shimmering with the silver-white light of their authority, had been moving across the marbled expanse.

They stopped, their mouths agape, their eyes wide with a shock so profound it seemed to have momentarily broken their connection to the very laws of existence they embodied.

Henry smiled wryly. A flicker of his father’s own tyrannical amusement danced in his eyes.

He knew his father could have placed them in the deepest, most secure cell, directly in front of Bob. But no.

They had been dropped at what was likely the very entrance to this vast prison, light-years from their target, directly in front of a welcoming committee.

’Is he testing me?’ Henry thought. ’Trying to get me to flex my muscles a bit?’

...!

He stepped forward, his movements casual, his smile disarming.

"Hey there," he said, his voice echoing in the vast, silent space. "We’re just here to grab one person. You won’t give us any trouble, will you?"

The Living Laws were dumbstruck. They could feel it- the crushing, undeniable weight of the beings before them.

Dukes! All of them.

Beings that could flatten them, their laws, and this entire section of the Sanctum in a single, thoughtless instant.

For a long moment, there was only a stunned silence. Then, the leading Honored Living Law, a being whose face was a mask of stern, ancient judgment, did something unexpected.

His expression broke into a wide, almost manic smile.

"Wow!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with a theatrical awe. "We did not see anything at all! In fact, I believe we saw some Sirs who seem to be in need of directions? And perhaps... keys?"

With a flourish, the Honored Living Law took out a set of shimmering, crystalline keys and tossed them towards Henry.

...!

He...was just an Honored Living Law. Was he to just throw his life away? He wanted to live!

He then turned to the other, still-frozen Living Laws, his expression becoming deadly serious.

"Sometimes," he said, his voice a low, profound declaration, "for the sake of greater peace, the Law must be blind."

He then stood ramrod straight, his arms crossed, his eyes closed, a perfect imitation of the statues that surrounded them.

The other Laws, after a moment of stunned hesitation, followed his lead. They became a living, breathing wall of willful ignorance...all for the sake of their lives!

Henry shook his head with a smile. He caught the keys and turned to his party.

"Wait here," he said, his eyes finding Liora’s. She was a tempest of conflicting emotions, her gaze a mixture of desperate hope and anxious concern.

He gave her a reassuring nod.

He breathed in, and he felt it. The burgeoning, impossible power that was his birthright.

You are the only Progeny of The Early Creature, Osmont.

Your Existence, born of such a unique and powerful lineage, has begun to retroactively attempt to produce the Blood of an Early Creature.

Your heart is unfathomably strong. In the future, you stand a chance of inheriting the Heart of an Early Creature.

...!

Henry smiled, a true, brilliant expression of pure, unadulterated confidence. It was the power of his father, a legacy that was only just beginning to awaken within him.

O True Emperor of Nepotism, which abilities of your Father do you wish to utilize?

He didn’t have to think. He sent the command, a silent, arrogant whisper to the very fabric of his being.

’Plot. Put the True Source of Plot to use. Make it so that we stand right before Bob in the next second.’

HUUM!

A blinding, golden light, the very color of narrative destiny, wrapped around him and his companions.

The Weavings of Plot have been invoked. A long and tedious journey has been deemed... unnecessary for the current narrative.

Existence itself is being bent. The scenic route is being skipped.

Cutting across the vast prison of the Living Laws... now.

BOOM!

The marbled floors and pillars of the Sanctum cracked, not from a physical impact, but from the sheer, narrative force of their departure.

In the next moment, their figures materialized light-years away, in the deepest heart of the prison.

They reappeared in a vast, cold void, filled with massive, floating white cages. Most of these cages were torn open, their occupants either escaped or... consumed.

They stood before one cage that was still intact.

Inside, a figure with white-gold skin and a perfectly round, bald head that shone with a brilliant light was licking his lips, as if he had just finished a hearty meal.

Bob!

Little Bobby!
