Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 4644: And Then There Was You II

Chapter 4644: And Then There Was You II

Noah wanted THE Living Origin to provide whatever knowledge she had.

He continued to come across the reality that you could do a whole lot more when you had the correct type of required knowledge.

Consider what he’d learned from Ul’moreth about Mana and The First Tongue.

That knowledge had allowed him to answer The Oldest Paradox of Existence and trigger his Lineage emergence.

Those eighteen Core Phonemes had become the foundation of his power and allowed him to accomplish feats that shouldn’t be possible at his classification.

Knowledge was power in the most literal sense, and he needed more of it.

So at this time, he and many others were looking at the famous figure of THE Living Origin.

Noah felt the hands of Sigrid grasping onto his as she looked towards THE Living Origin.

Her eyes shined brilliantly as if she was observing a living legend.

After all, even though at this moment Sigrid was THE Living Order, she was the one who’d been born in the Transcendent Origin Folds as a Living Origin.

She revered the stories and legends of THE Living Origin herself.

The sense of slight nervousness and anticipation in Sigrid’s eyes as she looked at THE Living Origin allowed Noah to ease somewhat from his serious state of mind.

It reminded him that even in the case of an apocalypse, he didn’t need to be so high-strung and serious.

He was HIM, right?

He moved with glorious quintessence and tyranny as he currently held a sense of confidence when it came to The Fallout.

So he would simply move accordingly and continue to live Existence as he wished to. As he normally would.

Because even as all of this was happening, he needed to make up for the lost time with many in The Infiniverse.

And of course, ensure that there would be more time with them after The Fallout.

But for now, he needed to continue getting back to his baseline Weavings of Existence.

The events of the Temporal Traversal were truly too heavy as he was still acclimating from them.

As he thought about this, the figure of THE Living Origin rose up.

Many eyes focused on her as she waved her hands to manifest an illusory white-gold diagram.

It depicted an 8-cube octeract hypercube with intricate geometric patterns.

She began to speak with measured clarity.

"In The Infinite Unfurling, THE Creature had grand designs and ideals. He could see Existence was continuing to unfold with boundless Chaos, with no structure. At least this was what he told us. He wanted to form a structure, and one of the major issues was that there were too many damn THE entities. Each one sought to find and establish their Way of Existence. Each one essentially fighting for supremacy. It caused a tumultuous Existence with constant battles and conflict, not to mention the conflicts of The Oldest Paradox of Existence that included THE Creature and others."

She paused before continuing.

"And so he gathered some of us. Those who he knew and those he didn’t. Apart from THE Creature, we took on the distinctions of THE Living Existences. THE Living Origin, THE Living Concept, THE Living Dimensional, THE Living Order... we all held grand ideals. And to be on the same page, we all held the distinction of Living apart from THE Creature. The solution that we eventually implemented was THE Prison. THE Unfurling Nodes of Existence. THE Belly of Existence that would contain all the countless entities seeking supremacy in their Civilizations... to usher in an extended period of Order where a select few would focus on their Civilizations and actually have a chance of ascending the scales of Existence."

The words from THE Living Origin were heavy.

Noah and the others listened with shining eyes.

And as if THE Living Origin could see into the brilliance of Noah’s eyes and what he was thinking, she continued right after.

"Yes, how arrogant it was for us to think that way. What hubris we had to believe ourselves to be grander and that we had more right than others to elevate our Civilizations while imprisoning everyone else. But THE Creature was a convincing being. THE Creature was an undeniable being. Many of us convinced ourselves that those who would be contained in this prison wouldn’t be harmed as they would continue to follow their Ways of Existence in a contained space, and we would simply benefit from their advancements. So The Belly of Existence was formed. And all of Observable Existence became quieter. There were only a few glorious Civilizations moving across Existence..."

As she said all of this, she turned to look towards THE First Hunger.

He had a cloudy expression while gazing at her.

She continued with a softer tone.

"Because of me and Hunger coming together in The Infinite Unfurling due to your existence, I grew a soft spot for the buffoon there. I sought permission from THE Creature to exclude him from the imprisonment. Thus, Hunger was free. I just didn’t expect all that followed. The golden age of cultivation and elevation of Civilizations that we were all envisioning did start. We did make tremendous advancements as we benefited from The Belly of Existence. THE Creature ushered in an entire new lineage under his name... Early Creatures. There was a propagation of Hunger as Inevitabilities multiplied, and Living Existences bloomed in our image as we forged our Civilizations."

Her expression became darker.

"But of course, inevitably, something happened. Everything began to break down the moment that THE Living Paradox collapsed THE Living Order."

THE Living Origin looked like she was about to continue when at this time, Noah spoke up.

"Hold on, hold on."

He felt like he was missing some critical piece of information there.

He wanted to backtrack a little bit.

"What of THE Primordial Chaos, THE Secretive Eon... were these entities that are seemingly on the same caliber as THE Creature also locked in The Belly of Existence?"

It was a question that deserved an answer.

And at this time, THE Living Origin looked towards him and said simply.

"I don’t know."

What?

"What do you mean you don’t know?" Noah couldn’t help but ask.

Once more, THE Living Origin shook her head and replied calmly.

"I don’t know."

Noah’s eyes became even sharper.

He turned his gaze up and looked around the veiled space as his mind worked through the implications.

Does this mean that monstrous entities on the same level as THE Creature could actually be outside of the prison? Suppressed somewhere in Existence or hiding in the gaps of reality? Or were they still contained within The Belly of Existence but... they were strong enough that THE Creature couldn’t siphon off any of their power?
