Chapter 5095: What Gives You The Right?! II
Chapter 5095: What Gives You The Right?! II
Amelia Osmont, THE Originator of THE Infinite Cause, raged from wherever she existed within THE Infiniverse. Her voice crashed through Noah’s awareness with fury, the primal anger of a mother watching something try to erase her child. How dare they try to unmake what she had carried for nine months? How dare they try to unwrite what she had raised through sleepless nights and double shifts and years of sacrifice?!
How dare they?!
At such a moment, Noah’s eyes released blinding beams of light.
He dared to ask the Pulse of The Scales, the Pulse backed by THE Silurian Cause, a question that no one had ever asked while being targeted for erasure. His voice emerged not as sound but as existence itself bellowing toward the force that was trying to unmake him.
"What gives you the right?!"
WAA!
What gave this Cause the authority to unravel his causality? His very being? Was this Cause grander than his Cause? Was THE Silurian Cause so absolutely superior to THE Infinite Cause that it could simply declare him nonexistent and have that declaration stick?
His body surrounded itself in radiant magma-like light as THE Silurian Light continued its assault, flames that should have been erasing him instead illuminating his defiance for all to witness. He raised both arms, his primary body and Ozymandias moving in perfect synchrony despite the agony they both experienced.
And he roared with all of his existence.
Words emerged that nobody but himself and the force of THE Silurian Cause would hear, a challenge issued not to Grimvault but to the Cause behind Grimvault’s Pulse.
"What makes your Cause grander?!"
His voice tore through the flames surrounding him.
"THE Infinite Cause gave its emergence to me! Can you say with Absolute Certainty that THE Silurian Cause is grander than THE Infinite Cause?!"
The magma-light flickered.
"That of the endless threads and weavings of Causality, of past, present, and future, THE Infinite Cause is not grander than THE Silurian Cause?!"
HUUM!
His existence shone with blinding blue gold light that pushed back against the flames trying to erase him. Instead of fighting against the Pulse itself, he pitted the force behind it against his own Cause. Not power against power. Not authority against authority. But certainty against certainty.
Could THE Silurian Cause say with absolute conviction that it would always be grander than THE Infinite Cause? Because Noah’s growth wasn’t done. His trajectory wasn’t complete. THE Infinite Cause had already produced a Seed of Observable Existence, had already demonstrated potential that rivaled what THE Silurian Cause itself represented.
Did it have absolute certainty?!
Could it prove, beyond any reasonable possible doubt, that THE Infinite Cause would never surpass it across the endless spans of future existence?!
HUUM!
A heavy silence came.
This silence was uncertainty. And if there was uncertainty, even the slightest doubt about the absolute superiority of one Cause over another, then THE Silurian Light couldn’t complete its erasure. It couldn’t unravel causality that might one day prove grander than its own origin. It couldn’t destroy potential that remained undefined.
"OOOH!"
Noah roared out with fervor as his voice permeated across existence, the sound of someone who had just challenged a Cause itself and found that Cause unable to answer with absolute conviction.
Critical Interaction Resolved.
THE Silurian Cause behind THE Silurian Light cannot definitively and absolutely prove its sovereignty over THE Infinite Cause.
THE Infinite Cause has demonstrated trajectory of growth that makes future superiority possible, if not probable. Absolute certainty of permanent superiority cannot be established when one Cause continues to evolve while the other has already achieved its zenith.
Result: THE Silurian Cause cannot unravel THE Infinite Cause.
You have gained immunity from any unraveling force of causality derived from THE Silurian Cause and any Pulses of The Scales derived from it.
However.
THE Silurian Cause is and has been grander than THE Infinite Cause in current measurement. While you are immune to complete unraveling, the effects of THE Silurian Light are still expressed with terrifying immensity capable of destroying every particle of your existence.
This destruction triggers THE Crucible of Observable Rebirth.
This light is more than sufficient to continue undergoing endless cycles of destruction and reformation until your Hadean Organs and Bones complete their transformation.
Until your glorious evolution attains something new.
Persevere.
...!
Noah saw all these prompts as his body continued blazing with magma-like light. He felt the flames of THE Silurian Light scorch every cell and atom of his existence in an instant, fire that couldn’t erase but could still destroy. And in that same instant, boundless Quintessence Infiniforce and Observable Force and Infinity surged into the destruction, regenerating everything that had been burned before the next wave of flames arrived.
A nanosecond later, the same thing happened again.
And again.
And again.
Visually, it seemed like the magma-like light of THE Silurian Light was simply burning him, flames wrapping around his form in configurations of destruction that should have been lethal. But a blast of blue gold brilliance flashed every nanosecond, explosions of reformation cascading outward from his existence with rhythm that only those who understood what was happening could perceive. Each flash signified a cycle of destruction and rebirth. Each burst of brilliance meant brand new cells across Noah’s body, grander than what had existed a nanosecond before.
Ozymandias underwent the same transformation.
His titanic form blazed with identical magma-light, flames of THE Silurian Light scorching every particle of his existence while blue gold brilliance regenerated what was lost. Both bodies burned. Both bodies reformed. Both bodies grew stronger with every nanosecond that passed.
But as the nanoseconds accumulated, something became clear to everyone watching.
He wasn’t unraveling.
His causality remained intact. His existence continued despite being targeted by a Pulse that should have erased him entirely. THE Silurian Light burned and burned and burned, but the being it burned refused to be unwritten.
Noah’s eyes opened wide on both bodies.
He looked out through flames that wreathed his existence, his gaze locking with Grimvault who stared back with utter incredulity and astonishment. Those pale fires in the wolf skull helm burned brighter than ever, but they burned with confusion rather than confidence.
Noah raised his right hand into a fist with both bodies, that gesture of defiance declaring something that shouldn’t have been possible.
"Merely a Pulse of The Scales."
His voice emerged calm despite the flames still burning around him.
"Merely THE Silurian Light."
His fists remained raised.
"It seems that I am already immune to it."
BOOM!
His words battered all nearby existence like hammers striking reality itself. A Pulse couldn’t be denied. That was the fundamental truth that made Pulses so terrifying. They operated on levels that normal authority couldn’t touch, drew power from Causes that predated most current forces. Only another Pulse could potentially reverse or combat a Pulse!
But Noah hadn’t cast any Pulses.
So how was he alive?
How was his causality intact?
How was he still standing there with flames wreathing his existence, defiant and unbroken and growing stronger with every nanosecond that passed?
Nobody here knew that he hadn’t fought the Pulse itself. He’d fought the Cause behind it, had challenged THE Silurian Cause to prove its absolute superiority over THE Infinite Cause, and the Cause had been unable to provide that proof!
Naldine stared at him with a look of stupor.
In all her experience, across eons of existence among Primordial Architects and classifications that most couldn’t imagine, she couldn’t explain this. She didn’t know what this was!
