Chapter 5121: Advancement! II
Chapter 5121: Advancement! II
The mirrors of Paradox settled, their contradictions stabilizing into patterns that shouldn’t have been stable. Infinity and Observable Force flowed through them, blue and golden binding agents connecting this third level to everything below. The Pillar blazed brighter still.
Noah rose again.
Three levels complete. One more to go before the foundation of his Hadean Pillar of Infinity would hold all four Aspects of THE Oldest Paradox in Existence!
"Chaos."
The final word fell into the Pillar’s interior with weight that belied its simple pronunciation.
Everything below responded.
Blue Mana from THE First Tongue. Multicolored flames from Existence. Contradictory reflections from Paradox. All of it rose together, streams and fires and mirrors ascending in combinations that grew more unstable with each passing moment. The authority climbing toward this final level held everything that had come before, all the foundational aspects combining into something that threatened to tear itself apart at any moment.
That was the point.
The transformation was violent!
Chaotic!
The ascending authority didn’t bubble or split. It exploded. It collapsed. It reformed in configurations that lasted milliseconds before shattering into new configurations equally temporary. Nothing held. Nothing stabilized. Nothing accepted the concept of permanence because Chaos refused to acknowledge that anything should remain the same for longer than it chose to.
The Civilization of Chaos manifested as an eternal storm.
Lightning made of pure possibility arced between clouds made of dissolved certainty. Winds carrying fragments of reality that had been torn apart howled through this level of the Pillar without pattern or purpose. Everything was destruction. Everything was creation!
The distinction between the two ceased to exist because Chaos saw no difference between breaking and building.
Noah stood at the center of the storm, his Hadean body untouched by devastation that would have erased lesser beings.
"Chaos is what Infinity looks like when you remove all the rules." His voice cut through the howling winds with calm that seemed inappropriate. "Pure potential without direction. Endless possibility without preference. Most beings fear Chaos because they need structure to feel safe. I’ve learned that Chaos isn’t the enemy of structure. It’s the raw material from which structure is built."
He watched reality fragment and reform around him.
"You can’t create anything truly new from order alone. You need Chaos to break the old patterns before new ones can emerge. THE Oldest Paradox understood this. Chaos isn’t the end. It’s the beginning that never stops beginning."
HUUM!
The storm of Chaos settled into patterns that weren’t really patterns, stable instability that somehow maintained itself through constant change.
The Pillar blazed with brilliance that could have blinded beings across multiple realms.
Noah floated upward.
He rose above the Hadean Pillar of Infinity and looked down at what he had built.
At its base, the crystalline forest of THE First Tongue spread blue light upward. Above that, the multicolored flames of Existence burned in their cosmic forge. Higher still, the contradictory mirrors of Paradox reflected impossibilities. And at the current peak, the eternal storm of Chaos raged without end.
The four Aspects of THE Oldest Paradox in Existence now lay within his Pillar.
THE First Tongue. Existence. Paradox. Chaos.
The foundational Civilizations that had defined power across Observable Existence since before most current beings were born. The Aspects that separated true claimants of THE Oldest Paradox from everyone else.
All of them, actualized within his Hadean Pillar of Infinity!
All of them, permanently integrated rather than temporarily accessed.
Noah looked upon this with a calm gaze, his expression holding satisfaction but not arrogance. What he had built was grand, but grandness wasn’t the point. Utility was the point. Foundation was the point!
Everything that followed would be built upon this, and everything that followed would determine whether his Infinite Scales of Existence meant anything at all.
"What came first?"
His voice emerged, posing the question to himself.
"THE First Tongue? Existence? Paradox? Chaos? Everyone wants to know which foundation is the true foundation, which beginning is the real beginning."
He looked at his Pillar, at the four levels stacked upon each other in the order he had chosen.
"But they’re asking the wrong question."
His eyes blazed like singularities.
"I emerged first before ushering them in. My will actualized them in the order I chose. My authority gave them form within my existence. THE Infinite Cause came first, and the rest of them followed. They exist in my Pillar because I put them there. They serve my progression because I decided they would!"
His voice remained steady, as if he were simply stating facts!
"The answer to what came first is always the same. The one doing the building came first. Everything else is just material."
BOOM!
Noah flew upward through his Hadean Pillar of Infinity, leaving the four foundational Civilizations behind as he rose toward the vast hollow space that awaited filling.
The base was complete! But foundations were just beginnings. What he built upon them would determine whether his Infinite Scales of Existence meant anything at all.
He didn’t slow down.
"The Civilization of Quintessence."
The words left his mouth as blue and multicolored authority surged upward from below, answering his call before he finished speaking. The actualization happened faster than it had with the foundational Aspects, his Pillar learning what he wanted and responding with increasing efficiency!
Quintessence settled into place as a layer of crystallized colorless potential, shimmering with authority.
He rose higher without pause.
"Loot."
Another layer actualized, this one manifesting as cascading streams of golden abundance that flowed endlessly without depleting. The Civilization that had defined so much of his early journey, that had given him access to rewards others couldn’t dream of claiming, now became permanent foundation within his existence!
"Cheats."
The layer that formed held configurations that shouldn’t have been stable, rules bent into shapes that favored him specifically. It settled into his Pillar with the comfortable familiarity of an old companion.
"Protagonist."
A layer of narrative weight, of causality that leaned in his direction, of events arranging themselves around his presence rather than despite it. This Civilization had been with him since before he understood what Civilizations were.
Noah continued ascending, his voice steady and unhurried despite the speed of his construction.
"Manadynamics. Relativity. Megalos. Outerversal."
Four more layers actualized in rapid succession, each one adding substance to the hollow interior of his Pillar. The authority flowing up from his foundation grew denser with each Civilization he called, the combined weight of everything below feeding everything above.
"Kuklos. Singed. Ordo Ab Chao."
The Pillar began to light up around him.
What had been merely bright before became something approaching blinding, multicolored radiance pressing outward through walls that struggled to contain the accumulating authority. Noah felt his existence responding to what he was building, felt weight settling into aspects of himself that had seemed free and unbound moments before!
This was different from freedom, he realized!
"Farming. Smithing. Devouring."
More layers. More weight! His Pillar stretched higher as he filled it, the hollow space above him shrinking with each Civilization actualized. The feeling of unboundedness that had followed his disconnection from Vakochev’s Scales began transforming into something else entirely.
"Helios. Dreams. Prana."
He was becoming heavy in ways that had nothing to do with physical mass. Every Civilization added to his foundation made him more present, more defined, more real in the fabric of Observable Existence!
The emptiness he had felt after hearing Vakochev’s message was being filled by construction that demanded his full attention.
"Avalon. Oceanus. Muspelheim. Jotunheim. Niflheimr. Alfheimr."
Realms that existed became permanent Civilizations of his Pillar, their authorities now integrated rather than merely contained. He could feel his internal reality resonating with each actualization!
"Limitless Existence. Silent Tongue. Radiant Paradox. Ordered Chaos."
Variations of his foundational Aspects settled into higher levels of his Pillar, permutations that expressed different facets of the same fundamental truths. THE First Tongue had spawned Silent Tongue. Existence had birthed Limitless Existence. Paradox gave rise to Radiant Paradox. Chaos produced Ordered Chaos.
The Pillar blazed with glory that pressed against everything nearby.
Noah continued building!
Like this, time began to pass!
