The interior of the Ubergulden vessel was minimal in the way that genuine power tends to be minimal, stripped of the decorative excess that lesser houses used to communicate their standing because the Ubergulden standing did not require communication.
The walls were pale gold, smooth and unadorned. The floor carried the same quality. The air held a density of concentrated Observable Force.
Noah looked around once.
Space flickered gold ahead of him.
Ubergulden Adelheid materialized first, and before her stood a Gilded One whose presence arrived before his features did, the Observable Force in the room bending toward him with the natural deference of currents acknowledging a significant body. Fair skin, white robes, golden eyes with no pupils.
The Gilded One looked at him with a dangerous smile that carried more edge than warmth, his pupilless eyes moving across Noah’s borrowed Dante features.
"My sister truly bonded with a weak Luxuria?"
The voice held the pleasant cadence of someone asking a question they already found offensive.
"How did this come about? You." His gaze sharpened. "How did this come about?"
Noah’s eyes were bright.
This was the brother of Ubergulden Adelheid, then!
Infinity buzzer as information flowed.

Adelheid’s voice arrived through their connection a half-breath before he needed it.

She moved from behind her brother as she said it, her expression the composed neutrality of a being navigating a conversation with extremely limited margin for error.
Noah smiled at Dietrich.
"We met in Velanthra a long time ago," he said pleasantly. "After she spent a few nights with me..."
BOOM!
Dietrich moved at a speed that bypassed the ordinary interval between decision and action, his hand closing around Noah’s neck and driving him backward into the vessel wall with a force that left the pale gold surface groaning around the point of impact.
The impact registered through the Dante body without the existential disruption it would have produced in an ordinary Luxuria!
Dietrich’s eyes had gone cold.
"You good for nothing pleasure sack."
His voice came out low and even, which was somehow more alarming than if it had come out loud.
"Do you even know where you find yourself? The weavings you are now connected to? Do not fuck around when you are talking to me." His grip tightened fractionally.
"If I ask you to detail events, you detail them while gazing down and not even meeting my eyes. If I ask you to kneel, you kneel. Now."
His free hand began to shine.
"I ask you, do you have any negative intentions toward the Ubergulden House? Is there any trickery occurring that I need to know about? Answer clearly. Otherwise your existence will end here, however much damage this will do."
The power blooming from his shining hand was not the Observable Force that had been rushing to him since his arrival. It was something older and more fundamental, drawing from a well beneath the ordinary substrates of Gilded cultivation!

Dietrich stepped back!
His pupilless eyes moved between Noah and his sister with a new expression, the dangerous smile gone, the cold assessment replaced by something that held more actual attention.

The door of the vessel’s interior opened.
The three Sororis Primas entered, and Sororis Prima Evangelina’s eyes sharpened the moment they registered what they were looking at. Her mandala-eyes rotated through several configurations with the rapid adjustment.
