Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 5517: Existence and Anomalies! I

Chapter 5517: Existence and Anomalies! I

The golden island tore across the storming dark of THE Krazhor-Nul, and upon it, THE Creature spoke calmly.

"What are we running from, and what are we running to?"

Noah’s mouth curved slightly from his throne as he answered plainly.

"We are likely running away from one of those monstrous Cursed Steeds we learned about. It feels hateful and despotic. And we...are running towards another Cursed Steed! This one feels a bit...hopeful."

"..."

He said such words easily, and they were enough to make Anaximander smile and THE Creature frown!

For both of them instantly understood that something perilous was unfolding. Running from one dying Steed directly into another was not a plan any sane being would call safe.

Anaximander stroked his chin and spoke with calm honesty.

"I would offer to simply carry everyone away, you know. " His eyes drifted across the island, over Emotive and Seo-yeon and THE Infiniverse, and finally settled on Noah, and he winced slightly. "But when I think about moving all of you, especially you, Osmont...your weight feels unfathomably heavy. It is not a matter of strength, I don’t carry things with strength. It is that whatever I carry comes with me, and what you are carrying would make traversal impossible. I would take a step and arrive nowhere at all."

Noah calmly listened, and nodded without any surprise.

He knew exactly what the scholar was sensing. He carried THE Infiniverse with him, and within her, countless deciillions of lives, thousands of realms, relocated sanctuaries, armories, farms, and now the limb of a Primeval One! Everything he had...was far too heavy. He was not a traveler anymore. He was an Existential nation that walked!

"It’s okay," Noah said simply. "It’s Adversity. We simply need to get through it."

The island flew on, and Noah’s gaze slid over to the cross-legged scholar with genuine curiosity.

"Where have you been, by the way? For months to have passed?"

"Ah..." Anaximander brightened immediately.

"After we parted, I took a step to be far away. As far as I could manage, even, perhaps, toward those like me, if such things exist. And I appeared inside a Dimension filled with...well, they call themselves Superpowered Lifeforms."

...!

"An entire society of extremely terrifying beings!" Anaximander nodded seriously. "They protect a cluster of Observable Existences within a vast Dimension from invasions and infiltrations, constantly, generation after generation, because their Dimension produces some type of Panacea that True Lifeforms across existence want badly. That place was...unique. Truly unique! I became friends with the protectors there. One of them, a Superpowered True Lifeform who could exert the weight of three Observable Existences with his body alone, mistakenly thought I was one of them, because I didn’t have any inherent authority either." He laughed at the memory.

Noah’s brows rose as he listened! A society of authority-less True Lifeforms guarding a treasure-Dimension? Existence truly was vast.

"But he said something curious," Anaximander continued. "He mentioned how across Existence, different Dimensions exist as some Dimensions hold natural treasures that invite the envy of others. Panaceas. Unique essenses. Rare weavings that form nowhere else! His Dimension was one of them, and so they had fought countless conflicts across the ages, Gilded True Lifeforms and Infinite True Lifeforms arriving in waves, wanting what they protected." He gestured loosely at the storming skies around them.

"It rather reframes this place, doesn’t it? A Dimension is not merely a location. It is a body with organs worth stealing. I left a little after that, traveled around a bit, saw some truly strange corners, and then I went back to them, because their Dimension was the largest and most complex one I had found. I was there when THE Creature called me." He sighed then, and something troubled crossed his open face. "I may actually need to go back soon..."

He seemed weighed by something as he said it, a rare shadow on the perpetually delighted scholar!

But he shook his head and continued. "But the other Dimensions I saw are..."

And as Noah listened to Anaximander alongside the others with rapt attention...inside of his own Existence, many things were happening.

The cluster of Primeval Totipotent Cells anchored at the core of his Source had been drinking! Heavy inputs of himself flooded into them continuously, his Intent, his Osmontian Source Infinity, his Trueness, and somewhere in that deep blue sea, the drinking had crossed a threshold, for the cells seemed to have decided on exactly what to become.

They had read him. And his own Intent and identity had answered.

For what was THE Quintessential Osmontian, at his very root? A being who produced himself. Osmontian Biomass, generated endlessly, spent endlessly! And so his identity pressed its decision into the totipotent lattices, and the cells, capable of becoming anything, chose to become the thing that makes!

They moved!

The white-gold cluster dissolved from its anchoring and spread through him, flowing out of his Source’s deep sea and into his body, into his frame, into his bones! They poured through his skeleton like luminous rivers finding their channels, sinking into femur and spine and rib and skull, into the trabecular hollows where the oldest work of any body is done, and there they took form, cell by cathedral-cell, weaving themselves into the spongy architecture of his skeleton as they became...

Bone marrow!

Stellar blue-gold marrow bloomed through every bone of his existence, hematopoietic architecture rewritten at the Primeval grade, stem-lattices of white-gold threading through his skeletal core as the totipotent cells differentiated into an endless self-renewing engine, and the moment it finished anchoring...

Noah felt tremendous pain!

The marrow ignited! Cells began to be produced from it, the first generation of something entirely new, and they flowed outwards from his bones into the rest of his body, into blood and weaving and Source, and every single one of them burned going out, his whole frame lit from the inside by the agony of an existence being repopulated.

And alongside the pain...

BOOM!

A booming beat of his heart!

An utterly wild and fiendish aura erupted from Noah’s seated figure, ancient past all framing, and Anaximander stopped talking mid-sentance! THE Creature’s head turned sharply. Emotive and THE Infiniverse and even Seo-yeon all looked towards him at once, for the aura radiating off THE True Human Emperor in this moment did not feel like the composed weight of a crowned Osmontian.

It felt ancient. It felt...ever so slighty Primeval! Just tiny slivers of it!

The Primeval Totipotent Cell Source has completed its differentiation. Designation: THE Primeval Osmontian Marrow. It is catalogued as a True Primeval Appendage of THE Osmontian, the first of its kind, an appendage grown not from your Trueness alone but from the fusion of your identity with apex Primeval root-matter.

Its function: it is a bone marrow, elevated terrifyingly. Seated through your entire skeleton, it now performs the deepest work of your body at the Primeval grade, producing THE Primeval Osmontian Cells, living cells carrying traces of Primeval weavings mixed inseparably with your Osmontian weavings. These cells proliferate across all parts of your existence. Your blood. Your flesh. Your Source. Your Intent’s expressions. Your very weavings! Everything you are will, over time, come to be built from cells that are part Primeval, and the fiendish ancientness you are currently radiating is the first generation announcing itself.

The rate of production of THE Primeval Osmontian Cells is fixed. However. It can be accelerated under one condition: whenever you are wounded by a malicious foreign authority. And should your existence be injured enough that you begin to bleed, the following will occur. You will continue to bleed for a few seconds, deliberately, as the marrow reads the wound. Production will accelerate. And you will enter THE Primeval Osmontian Berserker state, a battle-state in which your existence is momentarily elevated the more injured you become. Production, accelerated. Healing, accelerated. Power, Intent, Output, all of it, elevated in proportion to your wounds.

...!

Noah felt the slow production beginning within him, the glorious Cells drifting out from his blue-gold marrow in steady generations, each one settling into his existence like a brick into a wall being quietly rebuilt from something older and grander! And as they proliferated...more prompts bloomed!

A further consequence, and a considerable one. As THE Primeval Osmontian Cells proliferate and empower all facets of your existence, the intrinsic quality of every component rises, and elevation costs are gradually reducing across the board. Your Foundations. Your Osmontian Source Infinity. Your Volume, Output, and Trueness. All of them will grow cheaper to elevate as your cellular base grows more Primeval. And for the summit currently visible: elevation of THE Ananke Intent of THE Quintessential Osmontian to A-Rank, Idho, currently stands at 15,000,000 Osmontian Biomass. The Cells will bring that number down, Master. Slowly.

Fifteen million!

Noah gazed at these prompts, at the summit priced and the road toward it quietly discounting itself with every Cell his marrow breathed out, and silently, steadily, the fiendish aura of ancientness became more and more prevalent across his existence, settling into his body, his gaze, his presense, an old wildness taking up permanent residence beneath the composed surface of THE True Human Emperor.

And through it all, he simply continued listening to Anaximander, the golden island streaking through the storm as all of them discussed many things!
