Chapter 217, Concealing Array and Entering

With the puppet of the old woman and Qin Huoshui, Touba Ye’s trip to Cloud Province was much faster this time around. Less than a day.

They didn’t even stop to rest, going straight for Bronze Mountain four hours later.

Qin Huoshui was cold, as usual, in her questions. “We’re at Bronze Mountain. Where’s the tomb, Touba Ye?”

“Please follow me, Senior.”

He had nothing but respect for the people Young Master sought to finish his mission, especially a Dao Protector.

Touba Ye brought the two straight through Bronze Mountain. All the dangers classifying this place as a death zone were nothing to the two overpowered immortals. The trip was a breeze, reaching where Touba Ye found the tomb in moments.

“Here?” Qin Huoshui asked.

She found Touba Ye looking around with a frown. There was no sign of the tomb entrance anywhere.

[He doesn’t know where it is?]

It was like it vanished.

“It was clearly here, but now it’s not.” Touba Ye muttered.

Qin Huoshui picked up on his words and her eyes shone. She up and struck where Touba Ye pointed.

Spacial ripples from an array appeared.

“Senior, what does this mean?” Touba Ye asked.

Qin Huoshui said, “Concealing Array, a rarity even in the Immortal Domains. To think I’d find one here, in the Nine Province Continent.”

Qin Huoshui’s tone carried shock and amazement.

Touba Ye could feel that Qin Huoshui turned cautious. The tomb’s faction had to be strong to set up a Concealing Array. Or rather, Qin Huoshui had no way to gauge this place’s danger.

“Senior, what do we do if there’s a Concealing Array?” Touba Ye continued.

With Qin Huoshui a Domain Lord with ample experience, he deferred to her. Not to mention he had no clue what the hell a Concealing Array even was.

“Touba Ye, have the puppet protect you in case the worst happens and I can’t help you in time.”

Touba Ye shuddered in shock and disbelief. Wasn’t she an Immortal Lord Dao Protector?  Out of Young Master, who else on Nine Province Continent could fight her expect for others like her? And now she said she couldn’t help him?

Touba Ye found it hard to believe. But Qin Huoshui’s straight face and admission let him know she was serious. He nodded and followed her lead.

With the puppet by his side, he should be safe.

Qin Huoshui began to break the Concealing Array, an easy job at her level,  but would alert the tomb’s faction for certain.

Anything could happen once she did.

Qin Huoshui was very cautious, even for a Domain Lord. One didn’t get to live long enough to reach such cultivation otherwise.

An immortal sword appeared in her hand.

She could go about breaking the Concealing Array in two ways.

One, by finding its core. It was the subtler way, but far more time-consuming.

Two, brute force, striking it with the strongest attack until the core gave in and the Concealing Array broke down. While this method had the highest efficiency, it was loud, sending alarms to everyone inside there was an attacker.

Qin Huoshui slashed, again and again, each stike bearing icy coldness and deadly power.

Booms resounded throughout the mountain, leaving ravines instead of mere gouges into the ground.

Touba Ye gawked at Qin Huoshui’s display of raw power, at the destruction she caused on Bronze Mountain. [She’s way too strong!]

The space became more and more warped until Qin Huoshui found the core of the array.

She waved her immortal sword and power surged from it, enough to destroy the core.

With the breaking of the Concealing Array, the tomb revealed itself.

Touba Ye perked up. “Senior, there it is!” Just as two black lights flashed out of it.

Qin Huoshui hacked at one. The other black light went for Touba Ye and the puppet.

The old woman puppet sent a palm strike, erasing it.

Qin Huoshui frowned at the entrance. The black abyss actually managed to threaten her.

Touba Ye, on the other hand, rushed to get in and find his friends.

“Senior, let’s go.” Touba Ye said.

Qin Huoshui nodded, but just as they were about to enter, the entrance spewed out more black lights, thousands of them!

Each carried tremendous power.

The old woman puppet took the front to protect him,  but the power behind the lights was too much for even her to handle, crumbling dead once they were gone.

Touba Ye and even Qin Huoshui gasped in disbelief. A Dao Protector just died!

Luckily, Life and Death Talisman did its thing and the puppet was back like nothing happened.

Qin Huoshui was even more astonished.

Touba Ye shuddered, “Is this the Life and Death Talisman Young Master spoke of?”

Qin Huoshui nodded, her interest in Chen Changan growing every time she saw these surreal skills in action.

“Let’s go in.”

As the entrance grew quiet, the trio ventured forth, much more careful this time.
