Chapter 1603: Everbody’s Here
Chapter 1603: Everbody’s Here
Qiyuan calmly looked at Gentle Soil. "Since your people are here, you can take charge of this situation." He was already feeling a pain in his heart, which was a sign of fatigue. Qiyuan had an advantage in stamina over his brother and sister due to his incomplete [Thirteen Origin Foundation]. He will only share it with the other once it’s complete, so they haven’t tasted the benefits yet, but he has.
"What do you mean by this?" Glass Pen asked with an ugly expression.
"He is your leader, isn’t he?" Qiyuan replied before disappearing. By entering the origin of space, he perfectly blended with the Void Battlefield and erased all his aura and presence. Of course, he did not leave. Instead, he focused on the ChronoSpirit Battle to bypass the creature’s passive defense.
"Damn it," Glass Pen cursed. However, the sage did not have the time to complain as a terrifying power locked on him. "Get ready: we need to stop him."
Gentle Soil frowned briefly before nodding. The mark on her forehead gleamed with power as she continued using the alliance’s Qi Luck to boost herself. She raised her to use the technique: [Nurturing Tree]. A gentle green light appeared in her palm before disappearing.
This technique was designed to bypass the beast’s defense and implant a tree seed within its heart, which would absorb its flesh, blood, soul, and life energy, allowing it to grow uncontrollably. Sadly, this technique was only a 4-tier Grand Construct Skill.
According to Wu Hong’s classification, all these Primals were A-Class, meaning they have mastered three Grand Constructs and can casually use a 3-tier Grand Construct with almost no stamina drain. S-Class Primals have one transcendent foundation and can casually use 4-tier Grand Construct Skill, SS-Class has two transcendent foundations and can use 5-tier skills, and finally, there is SSS-Class with three foundations and can use all constructs without being tired.
The way she classified things makes it so that there is a vast difference between A-Class Primals. Some top-tier primals — like Qiyuan, Yan Hai, and Dugu Baitian — have mastered 6-tier Grand Construct skills, while Gren Soil needs to rely on the sect’s luck to cast 4-tier skills.
Gentle Soil’s attack was useless. The only thing it achieved was garnering the beast’s focus. One of the best strategies for battle was eliminating the weakest link, and even with its weakened intelligence, the creature understood such a simple truth.
Boom!
The place where Gentle Soil was standing exploded. The power of the punch was so powerful that it made the void scream. Luckily for her, Glass Pen teleported her fast enough. "Use a secret technique."
"But —"
"Do you want to die?" Glass Pen Sage snapped.
Gentle Soil gritted her teeth before following the order. The six Grand Constructs materialized behind her. Under normal circumstances, she would not be able to cast such a technique. Even a weaker class primal might be able to stop or influence her connection to the two constructs that she has not "mastered." However, this beast had no intelligence and could not use such a tactic.
Gentle Soil’s skin became tree bark, and her hair turned into flowers. With a thought, an enormous tree manifested in this battlefield before its root started entangling with the beast. Yan Hai’s extreme attack or Qiyuan’s precise and calculated strike did not harm this beast, so how could this shoddy of a 6-tier skill do anything?
Luckily, Gentle Soil and Glas Pen’s goal was to annoy and buy time. So, when the creature released an energy to annihilate the tree, a golden light suddenly appeared and protected a single branch. The tree instantly regenerated from that branch before continuing its task of entangling the beast.
[Painting World]
Glass Pen did not recite phrases or poetry, but instead summoned a large scroll in the sky to paint. This painting was his best sealing technique, and his only hope of stopping the beast’s rampage and saving the Grand Chancellor. The painting brush was swift and full of a beautiful rhythm. Unfortunately, it had to stop.
The beast suddenly moved so fast that it looked like it had teleported. With one punch, it turned Gentle Soil into blood mist. Then, it targeted Glass Pen, tearing him apart with one roar. However, the two were not dead — not yet. Gentle Soil regenerated from the tree she summoned, and Glass Pen’s new body grew from the golden light that had previously protected one branch from the summoned tree.
"Come on! You have to buy me more time than this."
"Do you think it’s easy? Why don’t we change roles?"
"Do you have a sealing skill that may work on this thing? If not, shut up and be the distraction," Glass Pen sneered. The woman was complaining when he was the one providing the extra protection with his Golden Body of Merit while setting up this seal.
Gentle Soil exhaled to calm down. Her mind ruminated for a while before creating a countermeasure. She snapped her finger, and her colossal tree started to germinate a fruit with scale patterns. A strange and almost imperceptible smell spread through the battlefield, which immediately agitated the beast. Its mind started to become chaotic.
Although this creature lacked intelligence, it possessed certain survival instincts. Yan Hai and Qiyuan made it suffer a few times by using mind/soul attacks, forcing it to learn, no, adapt to these skills. So, as soon as it detected an anomaly, the beast opened its mouth to spew a terrifying red flame that burned everything in its path.
The flame destroyed everything: the void, the tree, its fruit, the branch, the golden light, and even the painting. The next target was these two primals. A dragon roar suddenly echoed between Heaven and Earth before a majestic blue dragon manifested. The creature opened its mouth to release a primordial water to combat the flame. Its effort was useless, but it bought enough time for those two to escape.
"Beast King, thank God, you’re here," Glass Pen sighed.
"It seems I’m right in time," Beast King nodded with a pale expression.
"You..."
"I’m fine," Beast King reassured. He did not expect Ancient Desolate to recreate his Gate of Ascension and perfect his flesh. Not only that, the bastard was so close to mastering the last Grand Construct, which made him suffer.
"Wang Chong?"
Beast King’s lips twitched. "Don’t mention him. You said there was an emergency. What’s the current situation?"
Hidden Void:
Qiyuan summoned Wang Chong after seeing the Beast King’s appearance. "What happened?"
"The bastard tricked me and ran away," Wang Chong replied with gritted teeth. "But don’t worry, I’ll break his seal in about 30 seconds."
"Do you need help?"
"No need," Wang Chong swiftly replied. He was already embarrassed that he had been tricked, and he would be mortified if he had to ask for help to get out.
"In that case, go help Brother Li once you’re free."
"No need," said a deep voice.
"It’s done?"
"Yes," Li Ming answered as he teleported to the hidden void. He showed a small crystal in his palm.
"Excellent," Qiyuan said with shining eyes. With the Earth Sword God captured, the situation was now in their favor — no matter the outcome of this battle.
"Are you alright?"
"He put up a desperate fight," Li Ming said as he showed a wound on his chest that was healing at an extremely slow speed by any top body refiner’s standards. There is nothing scarier than an obsessive primal trying to save the person whose faith they’ve put into.
"What’s the current situation?"
Qiyuan explained what has been happening to both of them.
"What’s the plan? Do you want to sneak attack these people and eliminate them?" Wang Chong asked.
"No. If we do that, the beast’s target will be us," Qiyuan denied. "The plan is to wait for her to sublimate, and then, we’ll open a path so her attack is not interrupted. Once Dugu Baitian is eliminated, we can focus on dealing with the rest. In the meantime, help me find his Time Mark so we can eliminate him once and for all."
"Alright."
While these three were plotting, the Grand Sect Alliance also started its plan. The Beast King was a certified A++ Class Primal, meaning he had mastered and created a deep connection with 5 Grand Constructs. Gentle Soil handed him the sect’s Qi Luck, elevating him to A+++. With his unparalleled defense as a body refiner and the support of the other two, the painting world technique was slowly coming to fruition.
However, he had to keep a constant eye on his back. This was a prime opportunity to deal a significant blow to the Grand Sect Alliance, and their old enemy would not pass on this opportunity.
’Should I change the target of these greedy bastards and ask for help? But they would probably ask for more money, or outright reject me,’ the Beast King thought as he summoned thousands of powerful creatures to fight this rage monster.
’If I mobilize them, the plan cannot continue. Is it really impossible to defy destiny?’ Beast King thought with annoyance. With their absolute power, they should have been able to defy destiny. Still, the current situation suggests that things are never as simple as they seem regarding matters related to fate.
