Eternal Ascension World, Lightning Striking Realm, Tranquility Heavenly Abode:

The One-Eye Taoist was renowned among loose cultivators for several reasons. First, it was his strength. He was not only a Peak Paragon, but he had mastered a prototype of an ultimate skill, which made him a cut above most other loose cultivators.

Secondly, his territory — the Lightning Striking Realm — created a resource known as Lightning Bamboo, which can help people survive one or two strikes from the Immemorial Tribulation. This realm was not valuable enough for the Overlords to fight over, so they allowed the One-Eye Taoist to take it over as long as he sold some to them. Of course, the primary beneficiary of this resource is loose cultivators.

The third reason for his fame was that he had once been a proper Taoist priest, but was expelled from the palace for his poor conduct. There are rumors that the Taoist’s expulsion was just a ploy from the Tao Beginning Palace to turn him into a spy in the loose cultivator community. While this is technically not true, the One-Eye Taoist never refuted these rumors and is not above using them for his advantage. Above all, his power and influence have indeed increased his communication and dealings with the palace.

Recently, the One-Eye Taoist’s reputation has improved because Heavenly Dao chose his domain as one of the few areas granted a silver pillar. The increased traffic has drastically increased his resources. However, loose cultivators do not respect authorities; therefore, he had to suppress a few as a warning.

Like everybody, the Taoist was watching this civil war with bated breath. While he was too weak to participate, he wanted nothing more than for all these people to kill each other, leaving a power vacuum that he could fight for. Sadly, he knew this was only his wishful thinking. Although many more share this wish, that did not matter since it wouldn’t happen.

While the One-Eye Taoist was still in shock about the black gate, a light entered his body and immediately absorbed his soul. This old Taoist, whose cultivation source was still based on Taoism, did not have the opportunity to resist or even scream as he was possessed. "Hmm? What’s going on? Am I back? Hahahaha, I’m back." After so many years, the Fire Chaos Demon God — Fusan — had returned.

"Fuck you, Grand Dao, and Fuck you, Pangu. I’ve finally escaped. Hahahaha." Fusan laughed maniacally for a good five minutes. He was lucky that this cultivation above had sound isolation arrays. After calming down, Fusan finally started to observe his situation.

"Why the fuck am I in such a weak body?" He muttered. The only time he was this weak was right after exiting his Chaos Egg; in other words, after his birth.

Fusan observed himself. He was a middle-aged man dressed in black Taoist robes, with a full head of white hair, one empty eye socket, a goatee, and a slender physique. "No, not just my body, even my soul is so weak. The only good thing about this body is its Dao Shape."

Fusan frowned as he analyzed this new body. "Fuck, why is my [Origin] missing so much?" His body released a violent aura. With his missing [Origin], he basically lost most of his cultivation and will need a long time to return to his peak.

’I need to calm the fuck down. Nothing will be worse than that damn forsaken prison,’ Fusan thought. Since he was alive and free, he could start cultivating and repairing his [Origin]. So, he closed his eyes to begin to meditate. He first stated by drawing the energy from the environment.

’Hmm, what’s this power? It’s useless for body tempering, but it seems a great way to boost understanding. Is it called Dao Qi? Not bad.’ With this boost in understanding, Fusan started the main step to rebuilding his [Origin]. Then, he paused.

"What the fuck?" he yelled. "Where are the Origin Laws?" He extended his senses until he found something. "What the fuck is this? Grand Dao Source? It’s so structured and unnecessarily complicated. Where are the familiar and easy-to-use Origin Laws? No, I need to return to Primordial Chaos."

Fusan was about to fly away when he suddenly remembered what had happened to him as soon as he exited the prison. He cursed again before calming down and reviewing this body’s memories to understand the world; he wanted to know what had happened to his world.

"Fuck, fuck, fuck. This place is now full of rules and restrictions; it might as well have been another prison," Fusan yelled. Everything he knew had changed. The world was no longer chaotic and was full of order and rules.

"I knew this would happen when Mother — I mean, that bitch, Grand Dao — ordered us to start creating worlds and other lifeforms," Fusan cursed as he released a flame that incinerated everything inside this abode. All the buildings, scenery, and the One-Eye Taoist’s family and loved ones.

"I need to calm down. Just like Brother Diquiusi used to say, I must learn to adapt to any situation," Fusan exhaled. He connected to the Grand Dao Source again to continue his cultivation. However, his lips soon twitched. The amount of power he could absorb was limited. Fusan controlled himself and started using this thing called the Source Qi Space.

"Damn it, at this rate, how long will it take me to return to the Saint Realm?" In his era, he could not truly sense the passage of time, so it did not matter how long it took him to retreat. However, this era made it abundantly clear how each passing second feels. It was excruciating how slow things seemed for someone like Fusan.

’No, I can’t take this long. What if someone recovers faster than I? More importantly, how long will it take for me to have my revenge on Pangu or Grand Dao?’ Fusan thought. While all the Chaos Demon Gods have the same two enemies, the condition of the prisons also created great animosity between them.

Fusan thought about it carefully. Although all the Chaos Demon Gods considered themselves brothers and sisters, he was closest to his Five Element Brothers. Of the group, their sister, Shuiwa, was the smartest, and she taught Fusan to control his temper and think critically in any situation.

’I can probably accelerate my recovery if I absorb those Paragons who cultivate the Flame Grand Dao Source," Fusan calculated with greed in his eyes. ’Once my Origin is completed, I can start hunting the other Four Elements Origin and combining them to finally become a Grand Dao Saint.’ One way or another, Fusan will have his revenge.

A calm aura emanated from his body. Now that he had a plan, Fusan felt more at ease. He finally noticed the devastation around him and frowned. This world has a Saint, meaning the chances of his identity being found out and putting him in danger have dramatically increased. So, the best thing he can do now is to hide himself and use the identity he’s been given as a cover. Without a choice, he fixed the damage he had caused, including reviving the people he had killed.

Fusan was not the only person in his current predicament. 90% of the spirits or obsession that escaped from the black gate were forced to inhabit a body. The worst part is that they were scattered everywhere, and they ignored most defenses. So, whether it was the Overlords, the danger areas, or even the hidden dimensions where the mortals were secured, some poor sap had their souls replaced by a Chaos Demon God.

Origin Seal City:

Wang Wei was observing and analysing the situation. Some things finally clicked together. For example, what did Lin Fan discover from the luck stones in Qin? It was most likely the method of freeing those Chaos Demon Gods.

He glanced at the sky. ’Their release was not just because of years of planning, but also a part of Grand Dao’s plan.’ This was obvious since Lin Fan’s incantation stated he was using his blood as a medium and the world’s destiny. Only a world that was the semi-center of the Chaos Universe could offer the destiny required to release these people from their prisons without drastically decreasing the overall Qi Luck of the entire Source Chaos World.

’And in return for their freedom, most of the weaker Chaos Demon Gods have a karmic debt to the Eternal Ascension World, which they must repay during the catastrophe,’ Wang Wei concluded.

There were so many layers to this release. In the process of repaying their debt, the Eternal Ascension World will not only recuperate the lost destiny, but also meet the requirement to become the Universe Destiny Center. Then, Grand Dao can finally launch the Transcendent Age.

By the time the Chaos Demon Gods have returned to their peak, the Transcendent Age will have enough Saints to balance them out, making them a relatively strong faction, but not enough to dominate everything.

’Everything is destined, everything is already written down,’ Wang Wei sighed. Despite how he speaks about Grand Dao, he has never truly looked down on her. But no matter how much he thinks he overestimated the latter’s ability, something happens to make him realize he was still too conservative.

’I’m glad Grand Dao abides by so many rules. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have a chance to escape my fate,’ Wang Wei sighed to himself. He was fortunate that Grand Dao required people to struggle and revolt, as a completely controlled world would mean a stagnant universe.

Wang Wei looked in the academy’s direction. He could not forget that black door, even if he wanted to. ’I wonder why these Chaos Demon Gods were imprisoned? Shouldn’t they be rewarded for trying to stop Pangu?’ Wang Wei thought.

However, this thought had just flashed through his mind when the seal started to malfunction. ’Damn it, haven’t you had enough?"
