Journey of the Fate Destroying Emperor

Chapter 1775: Essence Primal

Chapter 1775: Essence Primal

The leader was a handsome young man in his late 20s with short green hair. He did not wear embroidered robes; instead, his pants and jackets were made of blue animal hides, with a white fox-fur coat hanging loosely on his back. Despite his strange clothes, Wang Wei did not underestimate them; he could tell the animal skin was from a Paragon-level demon, and the stitching and the power emanating from it suggested a highly advanced culture and civilization, just different from the outside world.

He spent a few seconds hearing them speak before casting the Divine Ability: Light of Wisdom. In a matter of seconds, he learned their language, pronunciation, grammar, and everything else. Finally, he could understand what they were saying.

"Master Xinzi, why are you giving her so much opportunity to escape?" one of the guards asked.

"Their luck hasn’t run out yet," Master Xinzi calmly replied. "There should be one more..." He frowned before looking in Wang Wei’s direction. His eyes turned cold as he scanned every corner of this place. Fortunately, the Heaven Deception Array was still effective. Wang Wei was about to end his observation, but the situation suddenly changed.

Boom!

With one punch, the entire mountain range evaporated. Master Xunzi couldn’t find the peeping town, but he trusted his skills. Since he couldn’t detect the enemy, he would force them out. However, his actions seemed pointless, as no one appeared.

"You might think you’re hiding well enough, but I’ve still detected the subtle spatial vibration," Master Xinzi coldly said. "Come out and reveal yourself."

Wang Wei — who had quickly hidden himself in the deeper layer of space — frowned. His quick escape prevented him from hiding his tracks. Furthermore, while his talisman could hide his aura, the opponent was very sensitive and could detect the subtle void fluctuation of his move. Wang Wei could escape with a [Void Breaking Talisman], but it would be a waste to use it now. So, after mulling it over, Wang Wei made his move.

Under his control, his hair shortened until it resembled a modern-day haircut. His robe turned into a purple jacket and black pants, and animal-hide boots, like everyone else’s. Finally, he showed himself. "I was just cultivating here. I have nothing to do with whatever it is you’re doing."

Master Xunzi glanced at him. The silver-white hair and eyes were noticeable, but not odd. His eyes glanced at Wang Wei’s clothes and immediately asked: "Who are you?"

"I was just passing by. I don’t want any trouble," Wang Wei said, feeling something was wrong. The man’s hostility did not decrease the slightest. On the contrary, while he tried to hide it well, it had increased after laying eyes on him.

"You’re not from this realm, are you?" Master Xunzi suddenly asked.

"What an odd thing to say," Wang Wei calmly said, showing no reaction whatsoever. "If you want an excuse to attack, don’t just put any random blame on me."

Master Xunzi sneered. "Don’t you know only Ancestral Fiendgod Realm powerhouses and above can wear the colors blue and purple?"

’Shit,’ Wang Wei thought to himself.

Boom!

A terrifying force launched Wang Wei’s body millions of miles away. Although he reacted swiftly enough to raise his hand to block, the attack instantly pulverized his hands and shook his internal organs, leaving a bitter taste of blood on his mouth.

"What’s going on? Why is this man so powerful?’ Wang Wei thought as he regenerated his hands. Master Xunzi appeared above him and punched him, crashing into the ground. Wang Wei wasn’t injured that much this time around; he had used his superb force control to redirect most of the attack’s powers.

’I’m right. Without any laws, soul, or even Grand Construct, his strength is on par with an A-Class Primal that has mastered 3 Grand Constructs,’ Wang Wei thought. A great excitement suddenly overcame him. "Could this secret realm have a Primal Path for True Power Dao Realm? Yes, he did mention an Ancestral Fiendgod Realm."

True Power Dao Realm’s powerhouses, such as Wang Chang, followed the same method as Qi Refiners. First, after mastering three Ultimate Skills, their bodies are optimized. Then they must also understand and master the six Grand Constructs.

Wang Wei almost could not contain his excitement. Numerous ideas flashed in his mind, but he did not instantly act on them; instead, he summoned his Proving Dao Artifact and molded it into the shape of a full-body silver armor, providing the best protection possible.

Master Xunzi gazed at him from the sky. "I was right. That artifact was not made from our refining system."

Wang Wei did not explain. Although he tried to mask the aura by nourishing his artifact with his blood energy for thousands of years, he still could not hide the truth from a powerhouse of Master Xunzi’s level — especially after the latter was suspicious.

Master Xunzi appeared before Wang Wei and kicked him in the stomach. Such a severe attack should have been devastating, but Wang Wei only suffered a small shake to his organs. His body only slid a few hundred meters, not even flying away. Master Xunzi frowned.

[Dragon Water Fist]

With one punch, a terrifying water dragon rushed toward Wang Wei to blow him away. A terrifying flame flew out of his body to counter the attack. The result was his devastating defeat as the water dragged him through the ground, up into the sky, before slamming him down. However, he did not care about any of this. His eyes were focused on his opponent as his eyes penetrated Master Xunzi’s defenses and directly observed the latter’s [Existence].

’So, that’s how it is,’ Wang Wei thought. He had finally deciphered the uniqueness of this realm’s cultivation system. This world also practiced True Power Dao Realm — at least, Master Xuanzi and everybody present do so. They also optimized their bodies, but Wang Wei doesn’t yet know what the three Ultimate Skills are, since this world lacks a River of Time.

After the optimization, the cultivators will master three Gates—Ascension, Power, and Flesh —and have them resonate before fusion. The perfect harmony of the three gates can push the body beyond the limits of the Elder Fiendgod Realm, probably reaching what Master Xunzi called Ancestral Fiendgod.

After knowing the secret, Wang Wei did not hesitate. Blood started dripping from his orifices, but he did not care. With his great understanding of the soul and mastery of [Essence], he instantly created a method to temporarily transfer the optimization of his soul into his flesh, elevating it to a higher state. Unfortunately, the technique was a bit too rushed, and he was interrupted by Xunzi’s attacks.

Finally, Wang Wei started the resonance of his three gates. The process requires a deep understanding of and control over the body, and with his [Force Control Skill], he had long met the requirements. Not to mention his Flesh Quintessence Method—albeit incomplete—has dramatically deepened his understanding of the Three Gates.

Boom!

Wang Wei countered with a punch, forcing Master Xunzi to take half a step back.

"Did he use a secret technique to boost his power?’ That was Master Xunzi’s first thought, but his instincts told him something else was going on. He activated his Profound Eyes Ability to detect the situation, but Wang Wei’s armor and his preventive measure blocked all his attempts. Master Xunzi was unhappy, but he did not care much. Such power was not nearly enough to contend with him, and as long as he can capture this Otherworldly Demon, he can exchange it for the resources needed to become a 3-star Ancestral Fiendgod.

"No, this is not enough,’ Wang Wei thought as he was pushed. The exterior world did not matter to him as his focus was entirely on his gates. The resonance and fusion had proceeded as expected, and he could even feel his limits increasing, but something seemed to be missing.

"Higher power,’ Wang Wei analyzed. ’I need a source of higher power similar to the Grand Dao Source or high-level Qi from the Source Qi Space as nourishment to elevate my fleshly body to be on par with C-Class and above primals.’

The result was terrible news for Wang Wei. Not only could he not increase his strength to deal with the current situation, but more importantly, he hadn’t sensed any higher power during his retreat. So, how did the natives achieve the final transformation? If he were to use the Spiritual Qi between Heaven and Earth, a billion Yuan Epoch would not be enough time to complete the transformation into a B-Class Primal, let alone Master Xunzi’s level.

’The people of this world should have their own methods,’ Wang Wei thought. Maybe he needed another way to access the higher source of power. Regardless of the truth, Wang Wei understood what he needed to do next: get his hands on this world’s cultivation technique. His gaze shifted toward Master Xunzi, which made the latter frown with disgust: the greed in Wang Wei’s eyes annoyed Master Xunzi; he instantly wanted to gouge out the latter’s eyes.
